The Osteria dei sapori perduti is a beautiful place. The tablecloths and glasses transport you to a time when food and the pleasure of being together at the table were truly appreciated. I had the lolli with fava beans. The fresh pasta was delicious, with a fava bean soup that I discovered is one of the Easter dishes in Modica. The appetizer was excellent, varied, and plentiful, and I found the caponata exceptional. Special mention for the attention paid to celiacs. Many gluten-free dishes are available, including the fresh pasta. The wait staff and the owner are helpful and friendly. Good value for money. An experience worth repeating.

We ate here. We were expecting a simple restaurant, like Mom's cooking. That's exactly what we got. It was very tasty. The portions were good and the quality was also good. The service was more than friendly. We would gladly come again. Thank you for the great meal. The menu with a QR code on the card is available in all languages.

We started with a serving of caponata as a starter — a regular portion, but it was very large and perfect for two hungry people. For the main course, we had ravioli with ricotta and fava bean pasta. The portions were huge, so there was no room left for dessert, although we could see that other tables around us had very tempting desserts. The service was very quick, and the food was brought to the table promptly. We arrived for lunch around 1:00 p.m. and were shown to upstairs tables — only two were occupied at that time, but within 15 minutes, every table was full. The restaurant was really busy, but the atmosphere was great, and the staff managed everything efficiently. At the end, you simply take your table number and pay at the counter downstairs. Overall, it was a very satisfying lunch with generous portions and excellent service.

Authentic Modica cuisine, the name aptly reflects the lost flavors. I've returned to the tastes of 50 years ago. Flavors that had been lost over the years. Must try for yourself. Highly recommended.
