A place with rustic, home-style cuisine, free of unnecessary frills. We ate the best parmigiana of our lives, fresh handmade pasta with delicious sauces, and a tomato sauce that tasted of sunshine.
We found it by chance thanks to the recommendation of a girl at the cathedral ticket office, whom I can never thank enough.

A typical restaurant recommended by a local, located a bit off the main drag. A good spot for a dinner with traditional dishes, although I honestly didn't find a dish that wowed me, but it's definitely worth trying at least once. Service was good, the restaurant was very traditional, and prices were reasonable.

Sicilian home cooking. The atmosphere is simple and pleasant, as a "putia" should be.
The staff is quick and very friendly.
Reservations are recommended.
A small restaurant in lower Modica, nestled in the side streets. The vintage, old-fashioned setting is charming. The food is excellent in its various options. The place is clean and welcoming.
After a few years, I returned and was very disappointed. Meanwhile, the menu has been reduced to a limited selection of appetizers, and half-and-half first and second courses have disappeared.
Appetizers are served on a single plate, with one piece of everything, like goldsmith's shop... a plate with four ravioli and about twenty cavati, even though the sauce was good. The boiled meat was enough to throw against the wall to play ball. The meat in the sauce was quite good.
Then I saw the waitress take the quarter-liter bottles of wine and fill them almost secretly from a cardboard jug, passing it off as local wine. Drinks, desserts, and coffee were not included. In short, make your appointment and go to sleep... but for me, that's not the case. Poor.

A very typical restaurant, not very beautiful, and prices are high compared to other nearby places. Very touristy and often crowded.
The typical appetizer is expensive but decent, without any real specialties. Try the "Lolli con le fave," made in the old-fashioned way. The meats are good, but the portions are sometimes on the small side.
