02/04/2025: Had a great experience, food was really delicious, staff was great- funny and nice. Would love to come again.

26/03/2025: Restaurant with a beautiful view of the beaches, Taormina, Mount Etna and everything else that this beautiful nature has to offer. The food is tasty, but very touristy. The restaurant has 3 floors and also has outdoor areas. We ordered fried squid, shrimp and potatoes for 16 euros. We also ordered penne with pesto sauce and bacon for 13 euros. The dishes were good, but nothing special. The presentation was average and the flavor was good. A Nero davola antichi vinai - siciare di esti wine (28 euros) to accompany the meal. The service was perfect. The prices were better than in Taormina, in general.

The structure is welcoming and well looked after, perfect for a day with family or friends. The staff is friendly and helpful, always ready to make guests feel at home. The cuisine is the real strong point: genuine dishes prepared with local ingredients, authentic flavors of the Sicilian tradition that win you over at the first taste. An experience to repeat.

25/01/2025: The Villa Ducale is a beautiful little boutique hotel on the hillside of Taormina, the rooms are beautifully furnished and offer every comfort, the shower in the bathroom was also incredibly good as it had a built-in waterfall. The view from the balcony was magnificent; in the morning you could enjoy the sunrise in peace. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful, the lady at reception even spoke perfect German which was a pleasant surprise. The view from the in-house restaurant is stunning both at breakfast and dinner.

19/10/2024: Sono stato a Messina e prima di salutarla ho pensato fosse l'occasione per portare via con me un souvenir. Un souvenir diverso dal solito, un qualcosa che potesse rappresentare un'eccellenza siciliana. Un qualcosa che potesse rappresentare il buon gusto dei siciliani. Ed ecco che ho pensato alla pasticceria tipica siciliana: dove i prodotti altro non sono che "Arte" raffinata. Mi sono affidato al web chiedendo: miglior pasticceria di Messina. E quindi mi sono incamminato per raggiungerla. Ottima scelta e ottimo consiglio. Qualsiasi parola aggiunta a questa recensione sarebbe superflua perché bisogna andarci, gustare e poi commentare. La qualità non va controllata ma costruita! Provare per credere.

25/08/2024: Tappa obbligata ogni volta che si sosta a Messina per imbarcarsi. Personale molto cordiale e disponibile, pronto a richieste particolari e disposto alle spiegazioni di rito per chi non è del posto. Ma le cosa più sorprendente sono i sapori superlativi dei cannoli e della pasta di mandorla che producono. È il 2° viaggio che faccio in Sicilia per vacanza e ad ogni sbrco/imbarco devo fermarmi obbligatoriamente per assaggiare i loro prodotti. Prezzi vantaggiosi. Per chi volesse portare via i cannoli e deve affrontare un lungo viaggio, si sono attrezzati provvedendo tutto l'occorrente in maniera scomposta (ricotta in contenitore termico, granella e cannoli vuoti) in modo da salvaguardare la freschezza dei prodotti. Ottimo, bravissimi.

03/03/2025: We found this restaurant by chance and came without a reservation. Nevertheless, after a short wait we got a table on the terrace. Lots of plates of appetizers and very tasty pasta. Very good service. And even though we didn't know a word of Italian, the hosts were very patient and served us in the best possible way. Clear recommendation, thank you very much!

Le materie prime utilizzate per realizzare i prodotti sono di ottima qualità ed il sapore di dolci e biscotti lo dimostra; le torte sono tra le più buone che si possano acquistare e la realizzazione delle stesse è sempre curata con cura, gusto e mai banale! Consiglio a tutti di provarla!

21/12/2024: Really good food. The best black pork that I have yet ate in Sicily. Service and atmosphere great. The proprietor and the staff very gentle and helpful. Would return for sure. Highly recommend. A very happy customer.

06/10/2024: Un'esperienza da provare. Piatti di ottima qualita' , servizio cortese, ambiente avvolgente . Tagliolini ai funghi, filetto alla cenere, antipasti vari e dolce. Sicuramente ripetere. Bravi!

04/01/2025: Locale piccolo è accogliente, come il personale. La pizza condita bene, ma l'impasto assomiglia di più ad una pinza romana, il bordo schiacciato ed un po' ammassato, la cottura non è omogenea, un po' cruda. Un po' deluso.

14/03/2025: My God, where to I start to tell how great this place is!!! The ladies are always friendly, waiting for you with a smile. The portions are very generous and the food is to die for. My wife love the Lasagna alla ragu, and my two all time favorites are the grilled chicken and the calamari al forno😁. I highly recommend this place, trust me you will be back again.

08/03/2025: Love this place. Everytime we visit the food keeps getting better & better. Menu changes according to what’s in season and the chef knows exactly how to use the freshness of what she has available. This time we went for the Angus Carpaccio followed by amazing pasta with a donkey meat ragu and another pasta with black pig and fresh fennel sauce (this was absolutely devine). As seconds, my wife opted for the veal with artichoke sauce while I had the red snapper in tomato sauce. As you can imagine, the sweets were insane, you can hardly go wrong in Sicily with sweets. Giovanni and Francesco made sure that everything went smoothly throughout our meal. What a gem of a restaurant. If in Savoca doing the Godfather Tour or just passing by, this place is highly recommended. We even had the honour of meeting the proprietor Antonello, a very friendly and interesting person.

07/04/2025: I will say, probably "the best pizza I've ever eaten in my life". The aroma and taste of truffles completed the whole thing. I recommend it, 😀

09/03/2025: My sweetheart and I were guests of the facility for an afternoon, through a Spa package that offered, in addition to the wellness program, a tasting of three red wines. The environment is welcoming and incredibly relaxing right from the Reception. Once we arrived, they accompanied us to the pedestrian path that surrounds the internal patio where the swimming pool dominates. A walk that ends with the entrance to the Spa. In my opinion, the latter is small but structured in a decidedly functional way, everything very clean. The staff is kind and empathetic. After the wellness program, they made us sit in a room and served us the wines together with the finger food, all very good. I remember with great pleasure the person who served us, Mr. Claudio. An example of how one should work. He served us impeccably, explaining in detail each wine and the food served. I could add more positive things to our experience but I won't go on. In an area where every reception facility flaunts itself, in my opinion Pietre Nere is a world apart, made of elegance, refinement and relaxation.

04/03/2025: Beautiful experience..Location immersed in the Modica countryside, unique in its kind. I highly recommend trying it. The only 4-star point, the SPA, small, lacks the pool that would bring it to 5 stars.. The staff is top.. I will gladly return.
