17/08/2024: I took both the pizza, the fritturine and the rustici. Everything top. Tonight I had the fried fish. 😍Truly stellar. Generous portions, very fresh fish and light frying. I brushed it off in a flash. Friendly and approachable owners and employees. What can I say: keep going.

18/08/2024: From the reviews I thought this was a good place… we ordered a Caponata, Polpette, Pasta al Pesto… The caponata was sweet and had no taste. The pasta was cold and undercoked. The pasta apparently had shrimp, I saw like 2. The Polpette al ragú sauce was super sweet. Seemed like I ate in Olive Garden. I think I’ve never had this experience in Italy let alone in Sicily before. The waiter asked us why we didn’t eat the caponata and we told him out experience, he came back saying “but you ate all of it”. Maybe it was because we went 45 minutes before closing time… not sure… but terrible experience

24/08/2024: At dinner in this restaurant with a minimalist style, the beautiful open kitchen makes you imagine a 360° sensorial experience but unfortunately expectations are partly disappointed. Hospitality and staff nothing to complain about. Critical points: wine list, well divided by region and area but a series of asterisks to indicate the absence of many labels (90%); staff in the kitchen without gloves so much so that the ice cream pralines were shaped with bare hands; ultimately the raw material is poor with a description of a starred restaurant and prices that are far too high.

18/08/2024: Experience to be redone. Friendly, kind and excellent food. The crispy octopus on potato cream is recommended.

27/08/2024: No customer attention. Despite having asked several times to moderate the cold from the air conditioner placed above our heads, only at the end of dinner did they move the fins and raise the temperature from 21 degrees. Two days of fever and cough. 😮‍💨

14/07/2024: Ottimo locale accogliente, ma c’è un ma importante pizza di qualità scadente -2 su una scala di 5, servita dopo ore interminabili di attesa, il tutto ad un prezzo irrisorio ma tale da non giustificare un mio ritorno!!!!!! Prenotata per le ore 21… cenato alle ore 23,30!!!!!!!!

In an increasingly cool island, which winks at VIPs or perhaps VIPs, with the sly smile of someone who knows what they're doing, there is a little place on the small pedestrian street of Santa Marina, in a beautiful building, with a refined design and trendy. Thrill... for a moment you fear the beauty that doesn't dance, the all smoke and so on. But no! Surprise and joy, finally! You are pleased to find real flavours, the clear and clean ones, without limping fusions and shaky balancing acts. You find the Giarratana onion, the size of a melon, all full of bread, capers and love, and you don't leave even a bit of it. You find beautiful pasta shapes, those that make you think of "home", farfalle, splits, because only in Italy do we demonstrate in the alchemy of the dish, how it is not true that one shape is as good as another. You can find wild fennel, which to be the main ingredient of a dish does not need to be accompanied by anyone, on the other hand it is like this: wild, it doesn't ask permission, it is self-sufficient with dignity. Finally you find the squid and the octopus, wrapped in the sun-kissed tomatoes, the chilli pepper in the right amount and all the skill that makes a dish that could be taken for granted, something that you will remember for a long time and that, you can swear, it will put even the most hardened influencer before the mandatory need to publish the post on Instagram with his fingers dirty with sauce from his shoe, because, as we know, in the end no one can leave good things on their plate. Very good indeed. You will remain in the heart like this entire extraordinary island.

03/08/2024: Beautiful location, decent staff, food quite disappointing. Avoid the specials. I ordered the prawn pasta that, not kidding, included half a prawn, and was €6 more expensive than the second most expensive pasta. My friend ordered the spicy pasta that lacked any flavour or spice. Meatballs good, pesto good. Wine okay.

01/08/2024: I stayed four nights. Excellent rooms, large, spacious. Large bathrooms. Hotel swimming pool accessible and clean. Very good breakfasts, with a wide choice of desserts. A little less for the salty. Coffee freshly prepared by the staff. Spacious and functional conference room. Air conditioning and wifi everywhere.
