17/10/2025: Excellent bar before sealing to the Eolian Island. The granita is a must. You have to eat it. This is the typical sicilian breakfast. Try any flavours, they are all good. The place is a bit chaotic; therefore, I advise you to not wait your turn before ordering. The best solution is to approach the bar and ask.

15/10/2025: Stopped here before taking a ferry. Had a good coffee and cold draught beers (they have lots of beverages available). They have loads of sweet and savoury pastries on show, perfect portable food to takeaway if you don’t have time to eat. It’s also easy to point to items should you not speak Italian! We sat outside (so menu costs a tiny bit more for table service) as was nice to sit and room for suitcases. Really lovely waitress, appreciated her good English. I liked the retro interior, please never change it :) Lots of Italians drinking at the bar so must be good coffee. The perfect pit stop.

30/04/2025: It's a unique place. You arrive in a special place, with incredibly good ice cream, a wonderful Aperol Spritz and a splendid view. It's not too touristy, which allows you to get a taste of the real Italy. But the real highlight is the girl at the counter. She is incredibly kind and helpful, bright but modest, cheerful and sociable. It's the best place in Messina.

28/10/2025: Fast, friendly, yummy! Quality fresh ingredients and a wide variety of made-to-order sandwiches with drink choices of beer, water, soda. The Nazionale with bresaola and lemon was brilliant. Clearly a local hang. Recommended!

05/10/2025: A very charming place, clean and well-organized, with courteous and incredibly helpful staff. There were only a few people there that day, so they served us. Good, freshly made food, excellent hot Nutellas!!! We ate one after the other 😄 We'll definitely be back. Highly recommended!!

21/10/2025: Not recommended. We were just there with a bus group. The starters were cold and poorly presented. Cold potatoes with a few slices of eggplant and the like. The main course was a vegetarian risotto with rice and tomato sauce. There were no vegetables to be found. When we asked for salt, we were given a salt shaker that stank. We complained about the food because it was completely tasteless and were given pasta with tomato sauce as an alternative. A little better. A cappuccino for dessert. Not possible because there was no milk. There was no tea as an alternative either. The coffee was an espresso in a plastic cup. Okay, what can you expect with plastic chairs. Unfortunately, not recommended.

29/04/2025: Antica Tindari si è rivelata una piacevole sorpresa, ben superiore alle aspettative. Luogo ben curato, che emana amore per le tradizioni e per il territorio. Siamo stati accolti dalla proprietaria con estrema gentilezza, tanto da sentirci anche “coccolati”. Piatti ben presentati, con eleganza. Se vi troverete in zona, vi consiglio di gustare ciò che sapientemente verrà proposto utilizzando prodotti di stagione che il territorio offre. Vino di ottima qualità. Abbiamo scelto un blend “Imperium”e, prima di andare via, ne abbiamo abbiamo acquistato una bottiglia per poterlo gustare anche a casa. Complimenti!

27/08/2025: First and last time! After this experience, I think that's enough. I called at 7:00 PM to order 1.5 kg of focaccia with three different flavors: traditional, Tyrolean, and porcini mushrooms. I told them I'd be back at 8:00 PM. I took the focaccia away, and as soon as I got home, we saw they'd made 1.5 kg of traditional with a black olive in the center! A truly awful service! There's no shortage of focaccerias in Messina anyway.

02/06/2025: Together with my husband we tried the famous granite board with mini brioche. We chose the one with 6 different flavors of granite. The quality was excellent. Personally, it is one of the best granites I have tasted so far in Messina. Pleasant environment, located in the historic center of Messina a stone's throw from the Duomo. The staff is kind and helpful. The price is fair for the quality offered. Also, the gadget that was given to us during payment is nice. We will definitely return!

22/05/2025: We took the cutting board and tasted 8 different types of granita and the mini brioches with the tuppo all good especially the pistachio one 😋😋😋

01/07/2025: We celebrated my father's 50th birthday here and we were really satisfied! The place is wonderful, welcoming and perfect for an evening with friends. We chose the pizza tour, which was excellent: light dough, abundant and tasty fillings. The staff was very kind and always available, especially the waiter Nunzio, who stood out for his friendliness and courtesy. Thank you so much for making this occasion special!
