05/09/2025: Exceptional service, considering it's midweek at the end of August in a remote village in the Peloritani. Good traditional cuisine at a fair price.

09/10/2025: The place is welcoming, beautifully decorated with all the chef's awards. The service is perfect and very pleasant, but I was disappointed not to have been able to enjoy a pizza because it's not offered at lunchtime. I then ordered a dish that I love: a shrimp and citrus risotto. The shrimp were delicious, but I didn't appreciate the risotto, which was more like al dente rice with butter. I didn't find the citrus flavor. I was expecting a creamier dish. As for my son, who ordered the carbonara pasta, he was more respectful than me, eating his entire dish, even though the spaghetti was soaking in a lumpy, tasteless white sauce that I didn't like either. Only the bacon gave the appearance of carbonara. This highly rated restaurant attracted us, but we are only two French people who probably didn't appreciate Italian cuisine at its true value. 04/11/2025: Il Barcaiolo è un'incantevole ristorante immerso in un paesaggio molto particolare, si potrebbe dire quasi un delizioso "nascondiglio" armonioso tra mare e montagna.La sublime qualità del pesce, gli ottimi antipasti, la bontà dei primi e la genuinità delle pietanze vi stupirà piacevolmente!Il tutto "condito" da un servizio impeccabile: personale attento e davvero gentilissimo.Lo consiglio a tutti, credetemi sarà un'esperienza indimenticabile!

14/04/2025: No hay palabras para describir lo deliciosa que es la comida. Cada artículo era mejor que el siguiente: la albóndiga era la mejor que he probado, la berenjena estaba divina, los quesos y las carnes eran todos locales y excelentes. El servicio fue increíble y se puede sentir el amor en la preparación de la comida. La mejor comida en Taormina manos abajo

17/09/2025: Fast but inefficient service. Terrible poke (there was no raw salmon/tuna) with frozen shrimp, brown avocado, and tasteless wakame. The Japanese mayo was actually regular mayo. The rice was soggy. Other quality products, but the poke was inedible.

30/08/2025: A beautiful place with exquisite desserts, in my opinion and that of my family, the best in Messina, undoubtedly the result of care and attention to Sicilian tradition. Extremely friendly staff. A gem on Corso Cavour. Highly recommended.

The pastries look and taste great There is a large selection of freshly baked treats, pastries and cakes There are a few small tables where you can sit, we had a coffee there and a selection of freshly baked pastries. It was a busy spot with a constant stream of customers coming in. The staff were really friendly and helpful Probably best to get there early and avoid the rush. Would definitely go back there, if ever in Sicily again

21/09/2025: Excellent quality food, well cooked. The staff were friendly and fairly quick to respond to our requests. Unfortunately, the bay leaf liqueur finally arrived, but the semifreddo didn't arrive. It was kindly served after 40 minutes, and at our request (so the bay leaf was already warm!!), I'm only taking one star off the service. The atmosphere was clean, including the restrooms. The bill was reasonable for the above.

19/09/2025: Hotel overlooking the sea... we stayed in this splendid hotel on September 25th and the feeling, from the room, was that of being on a cruise ship with a 180-degree view of the waves. The staff was friendly and extremely helpful. The rooms were impeccably clean. The breakfasts and meals at the partner restaurant "Nino sul Mare," located a few steps from the hotel, were also excellent. The pizzeria with a terrace directly below the hotel makes delicious pizzas; you absolutely must try the pizza with figs, prosciutto crudo, and spicy pistils... a delight! A special thanks to Giorgia, who, with her professionalism and kindness, made our stay even more pleasant and comfortable. Highly recommended!!!!

28/09/2025: An hour to sit down and then when you get to the table they tell you another half hour to eat. 👎🏻 Pizza 👎🏻 good ingredients but it's not enough

23/09/2025: We decided to go to this pizzeria on our way back from vacation. I didn't think it was inside a shopping mall; in fact, it was so crowded and it was hard to talk because of the noise. The pizzas are fabulous, really good, with a light dough, quality ingredients, well-cooked food, and excellent flavors. Impeccable service and friendly staff. Prices are average, but definitely worth it.

17/08/2025: The location is truly beautiful and well-kept: it's a real shame to find the weather bad on August 15th and not eat outside. The fish is fresh, certainly well-frozen and of high quality, but it's prepared without imagination, without that special something that makes you remember it. With two bottles of wine, appetizers, and a first course, we spent €50 per person (considering we had three small children). Dessert needs rethinking: the flans are fine, but the crème brulee and freshly defrosted cheesecake aren't up to par with the place, and especially the bill. The service is truly lame (missing menus, endless waits for dessert, lack of coordination, sloppiness). There's no parking: you have to park in the middle of the street. I don't think we'll be back.
