16/08/2025: Fixed menu for mid-August. We ate half well, half terribly. The starters and first courses were miserable... The second courses were excellent. There was no option for desserts. To say the least, I asked for a beer and it was denied. As far as I'm concerned, I won't be returning. All in all, €45.00 per person.

18/08/2025: What can I say, a place with a terrace overlooking the sea, for the rest we are not up to par, seafood poker, it's just 4 things tasteless and not of excellent quality, 25 euros, mixed grill that already calling it a grill is a blasphemy, basically the "so-called mixed grill" is composed of: a mini tuna chop, a mini swordfish chop, a prawn, and a half slice of amberjack, cost 25 euros, I must point out that the prawn was not a prawn, and the chops together weighed maybe 30 grams, without filling, and tasteless, basically I paid for a 15 gram chop, €6.25.... I think the portions need to be reviewed, because calling something like that a grill is an insult to the customer, obviously since the plate is empty, they place a nice leaf of curly lettuce in the middle, which gives color and fills the plate... first and last time in this place.

14/08/2025: A terrible experience. It starts with the menu, which is sparse, and continues with the dishes. "Delicate seafood salad...": I could have stayed for hours chewing this rubbery substance they'd reduced to the octopus, three shriveled mussels, and three shrimp with an unspeakable taste and texture. The oil is supermarket-quality, but of poor quality. We had it changed, and they opened a new bottle in front of us, but the result was the same. The mixed fried fish is full of peppers and zucchini, and the fish, with the exception of the small fish—the only real fish of the evening—is the calamari, which is so salty and rubbery that it makes no sense! In short, at a Sicilian restaurant with a view, all that's left is the view, and you pay for that with a hefty price tag. It's truly scandalous that tourists, perhaps because it's their first time eating Sicilian food, are forced to eat these things. And unfortunately, those who are inexperienced and unwary don't realize this. We complained on site, but all we got were big smiles. How sad! It's unfair that you're taking advantage of your little corner of paradise to sell these goods prepared this way. We're Sicilians, we're in our sixties, and we know Sicilian cuisine.

14/08/2025: We were in the restaurant, the place was practically empty, 3 tables were occupied. The waiter pointed us to a table where we sat down. When we placed our order, we wanted to order a bottle of wine, the waiter informed us that this wasn’t possible because this is a restaurant and this is where you eat. The waiter refused to accept the order because we only wanted to order a bottle of wine. We are disgusted. Our rating - 1. You have a lot of work to do on the standard of customer service.

20/08/2025: Nice place with a sea view, and fast, attentive, and friendly service. The food, however, isn't exceptional: the seafood menu is rather touristy and bland. Pizza is probably better. It's also expensive compared to local options.

01/07/2025: A place located in the historic center, next to the Vittorio Emanuele theater of Messina, without too many pretensions and without the necessary search for an elite clientele. I drank a good alcoholic cocktail but the strong point in my opinion is the food. I ate a vegetable tart with a bechamel glaze that was really excellent, I'll go back for a nice tasting.

15/08/2025: It's been ages since I've been here, and I have to say the restrooms are spotlessly clean (and cleanliness isn't a given, and I always encourage you to check out the restrooms before consuming anything; it's a good habit to encourage the managers. If you're not convinced, move on). I ordered the classic chocolate granita with cream and a brioche col tuppo, which I found to be average. However, I didn't particularly like the brioche; it reminded me of a compact brick, white on the inside, and the dough was far from the soft, fluffy brioche with that lovely yellow center that I rarely encounter. We're talking about a well-known establishment with a long tradition, and it's been in the city for a long time, so expectations should be high, especially when the bill is €4, consumed at the counter, and I had to specifically request water.

18/08/2025: U megghiu Besides the fact that the place is very comfortable and friendly, the granita is spectacular, and the panna is second to none. If you're in Messina, it's a must-visit.

12/08/2025: Recommended by friends of friends, so it's well-known and well-known. Excellent coffee granita, though the strawberry one isn't as good. A basic location, so stop by for a quick refreshment.
