14/10/2025: We went to La Lupara for an evening meal. We had the grilled squid and grilled prawns, plus a couple of cannoli and a few beers. The owners are lovely people and offer great food and company. The restaurant was full of locals, with a great atmosphere. Well worth a visit 😊😊👏👏

18/08/2025: Excellent restaurant. We had a fish-based dinner, splitting a mixed seafood appetizer between two people, and it was still very filling. The first courses were plentiful and truly excellent. The restaurant is informal, the staff very friendly, and the prices are reasonable. Very large outdoor dining area. Overall recommended.

13/11/2025: There isn't a better pizza in the entire province of Messina (and beyond), I've tried ALL of them, all the flavors... every time it's a dilemma deciding which one to choose... but I recommend the Segreto di Ape Nera... try it... and prepare yourself... it's addictive. Ps. I'm attaching some of my favorite pizzas...

15/11/2025: Alberto is a great host. That's about it. The food we had was truly awful. Taglierini with seafood, expensive and tasteless. Salt and spices were completely missing. It tasted only of oil and frozen seafood. The rest was also boring. Not attractively presented. The house red wine was cheap, but unfortunately still expensive. We also had the "pleasure" of having breakfast there. Even Aldi has stopped stocking such cheap, low-quality ham. (Or sold it to Italy.) Industrial cakes and the cheapest jam in plastic packets. How about some fresh orange juice? In the land of oranges, especially now during harvest season? Or a jar of regular marmalade instead of that colored jelly?

28/06/2025: Fantastic location with stunning views of Mount Etna, beautiful, stylish, and spacious rooms, very friendly staff, excellent and plentiful breakfast and a great dinner with a romantic atmosphere at very fair prices, a small oasis away from the tourist hustle and bustle of Taormina city center (we'd love to come back!)

25/06/2025: We dined at the restaurant here as we were staying nearby and didn't fancy venturing into town that evening. The meal we had was lovely and reasonably priced - which was a pleasant surprise as the whole vibe was luxurious. We topped it off with a nightcap in the bar overlooking the beautiful bay.

18/07/2025: Beh la location…sulla spiaggia nera di Vulcano. Staff informale ma attento e cortese. Pizza buonissima. Consiglio la Sicilia Bedda, quel pesto di agrumi….buona e fresca. E la Salina, più decisa ma rispettosa dei sapori delle Eolie. Al tramonto poi…. Consigliatissimo

04/10/2025: Old Town Square, the cucumber slices completely dry, the fries stale. The signature cocktails were undrinkable; one tasted like lemon Nelsen, the other was of dubious color compared to the ingredients offered. I wouldn't return.
