Kisté Easy Gourmet In Taormina

We had lunch at KISTE in Taormina as a group of four and enjoyed the five-course tasting menu. From the moment we arrived, we knew we had discovered something special. KISTE is located in a charming and peaceful courtyard, right in the heart of Taormina yet wonderfully removed from the crowded tourist streets. It offers a calm and elegant atmosphere that makes you instantly relax and feel at home. The service was exceptional—warm, attentive, professional, and genuinely welcoming, while remaining relaxed and unobtrusive. We felt incredibly well looked after throughout the entire experience. The food was simply outstanding. From the delicious appetizers to the exquisite fish dishes and the incredible desserts, every course was beautifully presented and full of flavor. A particular highlight was being able to sample all of the desserts from the à la carte menu, which was a wonderful ending to an unforgettable meal. Without a doubt, this was the best meal of our entire Sicily trip and one of the highlights of our journey. We would recommend KISTE to anyone visiting Taormina. An absolute gem and a truly memorable experience.

My girlfriend called it "the best restaurant I've ever been to in my life." The place is elegant in its simplicity, with a lovely terrace where you can relax to the sound of jazz music. The staff is friendly and professional. Every course was meticulously prepared, from the flavors to the presentation. The only thing I'd like to point out is that the tasting menu is biased toward fish, with only one meat course—in our case, veal. Not a real problem for us, but from how it was presented on the menu, I would have expected something else.

We had an amazing time at Kisté. We took the 8 course tasting menu with wine pairing and it was fantastic! Very generous portions, and in particular the bisque, the red shrimp carpaccio, and the veal stood out to us. The staff was very kind and explained the menu, items and wine to us in English, which I’m very grateful about. It felt like a great way to sample many different Sicilian dishes with a unique touch to them.
