I migliori ristoranti in Catania

09/04/2025: I've never even physically been here, but my airbnb host brought me some treats from here and my mind is exploding with how delicious they are. I had to leave a review!!! Absolutely incredible!! If anyone knows what these are called please let me know, otherwise I'm going to visit to find out for myself!!

07/01/2025: Excellent desserts, shame that the staff leaves much to be desired. It costs nothing to greet the customer with a pleasant good morning!

23/04/2025: Definitely NOT! We took two starters and a first course, with water, 50 euros. A miserable and sad seafood salad paid for 18 euros and two (2!!) sardines a beccafico for 8 euros. The plate of spaghetti with seafood is saved in the corner. Inattentive, rude and rude staff. Considering that there isn't much to visit in this cove, hospitality and quality should come first (I would have liked to give zero stars for service and atmosphere). Nothing to do with the hospitality of Sicily, a really bad experience. I wouldn't go back even for free.

13/04/2025: Sin! Good food but being made fun of is not good. This appetizer (photo) with hot dishes, i.e. ONLY THE PEPPERED MUSSELS. Always two crucifications after we were told that the HOT guys were there. 40 euros I'm sorry but you should be more careful about who you let take orders

07/12/2024: Food was decent, however prices are quite high so you would expect at least a decent service and that was NOT the case. One of the waiters (with mustache) was extremely rude and did not care about customer service at all, he did not introduce himself and was very evasive. Disappointing for such a lovely place. Atmosphere was ok but music played from the DJ was too loud making it almost annoying. Wouldn't go back. The food was decent but the prices quite high so we would have expected at least decent service and this was NOT the case. One of the waiters (with a moustache) was extremely rude and did not have the slightest interest in customer service, did not introduce himself (which could also be accepted) and was extremely evasive. All very unpleasant things considering the place. Decent atmosphere but the music played by the DJ was a little too loud in my opinion, almost creating disturbance. I wouldn't go back.

28/03/2025: I want to come back!!! Look at the dishes! Top quality. There are two of us and we come from Palermo because it is nice to advise our guests where to go in Catania. La caverna del borgo is a charming, rustic and very pleasant place. Smiling and knowledgeable owners and staff. Excellent choice of wines and a wide choice of wines and local products. Fried fish as a very fresh and good appetizer. Abundant mixed meat platter. Sublime kilo cut with shrimp and pistachio. Recommended for a thousand reasons: staff, quality of products, location, cleanliness!! It is nice to review places that promote the area. We will return and I hope you will too.

30/03/2025: Change management, this place is one of the most beautiful in Catania for having breakfast, an aperitif or simply spending pleasant time, but everything is canceled by this senseless management. People prefer to go to bars opposite with a "street" view, ask yourself two questions. Do the people of Catania a favor, change management!!

21/04/2025: Serata con amici, arriviamo staff gentile e ordinato. Ci hanno accolti e fatti accomodare, tempo necessario per la lettura del menù e ordiniamo. Antipasti con focacce ai funghi e le classiche patatine, successivamente le pizze. Tutto molto buono e materie prime di ottima qualità. Prezzo onesto. Tornerò sicuramente.

14/09/2024: We only drink Aperol Spritz at this place. We had been in Sicily for a week and we had not tried one so good. Perfect gas and flavor. Also much cheaper than anywhere else. Congratulations for that.

02/05/2025: Employees going about their own business, terrible waiting time, they even eat the ice cream and the orders are left there waiting to be brought to the table

29/04/2025: Lunch of cockroaches, spoiled bacon, radioactive chips and trays that smell like feet. We told the clerks several times about the cockroaches lurking on the tables, but nothing, we had to move. Slow service and scandalous food preparation. Go to KFC which is opposite.

15/03/2025: ... I had an arugula pizza which had nothing of arugula... Non-existent flakes of parmesan, but that's fine, never mind... I'll overlook it... But the raw ham? You couldn't eat it... double, horrendous taste, very ugly colour, almost as if it were old or poor quality... I paid 9.50 euros to eat bread with tomato paste. I'm really sorry, I don't usually criticize those who work but the pizza was truly INEDIBLE.

20/03/2025: The servers are kind, the bathroom is elegant, the food is innovative and the drinks are very good too. I will gladly go back and recommend it.

05/04/2025: This is the second time that the drinks arrive hot and without ice. Also, the sauces paid for, do not arrive.

01/04/2025: The menu is a bit modest compared to the chain's restaurants in other countries. On the plus side, there is a lot of space upstairs and very nice service, especially the gentleman cleaning the tables :)
