Verde & Blu In Acireale

For me, coming to Verde e Blu is always a pleasant experience; everything is wonderful, from the sea view location to the food. I've eaten at this restaurant many times, on different occasions, and I've always had a wonderful time, so much so that I decided to celebrate both my parents' wedding anniversary and my son's upcoming baptism there. For my parents' anniversary, the food was also delicious and, above all, of high quality. The owner and her entire staff were always courteous and available to answer all our questions. The event was a great success, so much so that we received many compliments from most of the guests. I highly recommend it.

A stellar experience!! The owner was very kind and helpful. The waitresses and waiters were always smiling. They should take a cue from them.

Different things please different people; some follow the noise of cities, others the salt lakes sparkling with lamps, others a great name and empty fame. But I liked that hidden bay at Verde & Blu, which, as if by stealth, reveals itself to the traveler at the entrance to the fishing village of Santa Maria ad Scala. It is not immediately found. For the road descending to the sea hides a small path, narrow indeed but pleasant, which leads to two spaces intended for vehicles, where a modern driver can finally arrange his iron horses. From there, you seem to descend not to a tavern, but to paradise. Here, the green Timpa is raised above your head, the blue and fragrant sea spreads before your eyes, the seaside village rests like a painting by an old master. A gentle breeze touches your cheeks: neither cold nor heavy, but such as poets imagine for themselves when they write about the Elysian Fields. Fish? Very fresh. They can seem not to have been freed from the prison of the freezer, but to have been summoned from the sea itself a little while ago. The art of cooks is such that nature itself rejoices to be treated so elegantly. Whatever comes to the table has a sincere flavor, without color, without fraud, without vanity. But sparkling wine, noble and generous, not only accompanies the food but crowns the banquet itself. You could say that some minister of Augustus erred and brought here an amphora from the imperial banquet. Finally, a sweet semi-cold drink made from Amarus Capitis was brought, as if by a miracle: something new, unusual, almost rash. But what rashness is more fortunate? Sweetness and bitterness form an alliance with each other, and the tongue, once caught, refuses to ask for forgiveness. Prompt, polite, and most courteous service. No one is importunate, no one is indifferent; indeed, all are such that the guest seems not a client but a friend. Therefore, I will summarize my opinion in a few words: if Neptune himself wanted to dine on earth, he would not find a much better table among the many shores of Sicily. P.S.: To little Valentine, the future hope of this marine kingdom, I sincerely pray for many, serene and happy years. Food was great if you like seafood/fish. Atmosphere great. Lots of families having lunch is a good vibe. Service was slow, not clear on what was available. Did not provide menu. I would still go back.

Dinner with friends. Welcoming place, and attentive staff. Excellent value. Only 5 stars because there's not much room for more. I'll definitely be back for dinner.

This place has now become our favorite. Giusy is the perfect hostess, incredibly friendly and welcoming. Her talented mother's cooking is special, making you feel right at home. The service is always impeccable and the dishes are delicious. Anyone who goes to Santa Maria la Scala can't miss Verde & Blu❤️
