20/04/2025: We had lunch at this restaurant for the first time over Easter. We were welcomed impeccably. We ate very well with genuine, excellent quality products. All 10 people at the table enjoyed it. We thank you so much for the welcome and kindness given to us.

15/12/2024: I missed this place and believe me, I wanted to write my review as a Google reviewer, here it is. Cozy place in a modern style. I paid 43 euros for two sandwiches with horse meat, chips and two drinks including a beer. Good appetizer of three types of potatoes. well fried frozen starter.Small sandwiches and honestly the horse meat was under seasoned.I have eaten better sandwiches.....

10/11/2024: Giarre CT. Via Aprile Finocchiaro, 17. We had a nice evening. Good food and nice place. Some reservations about the service. I have to make an observation about what is written on the menu. What is offered is the OCTOPUS Sandwich. The octopus is something else!

21/04/2025: We stayed at Monaci for one night and had a lovely experience overall. At check-in, we were welcomed with a glass of excellent wine and a friendly chat at the bar. The bar has a beautiful and unique interior, and the staff were very attentive and pleasant to talk to. The hotel itself is good, but we had a series of unexpected, minor issues that left us with mixed impressions. The value for money felt a bit high — we have a lot of experience staying at 5-star hotels and expected service that fully matched that level, so we were somewhat disappointed. However, Giorgio, Klaudi, and Irina helped us end our stay with warm and positive emotions — we’re truly grateful for that. The food in the restaurant was very tasty, and we really enjoyed our lunch there.

09/12/2024: PRICE GOUGING FARM STAY / RESTAURANT THAT COMPLETELY DISREGARDS DINERS' DIETARY REQUIREMENTS Credit where credit is due, the property is stunning and the view from our room was amazing, but this is not a 5-star hotel, this is a very overpriced farm stay where they try to squeeze every nickel and dime out of people and do not understand the basics of customer service. We were welcomed on arrival, which was nice, but unfortunately from that point on I felt 'managed' by the reception staff rather than them recognising what we actually wanted. Our car and luggage were promptly taken to our room 800m away, even though our room was not yet ready, which meant that I wasn't able to get some essentials out of my bag. When asked to get our stuff we were told that it wasn't possible. Our room was spacious, but very sparsely furnished. The view was stunning and it would have been perfect to have a sofa to lounge on, but it only had 2 arm chairs, not even a single foot rest. The bathroom and kitchenette facilities were more resembling of a road side motel than a 5 star hotel charging $1000/night. Our room was not serviced on the first day, even though we were gone for most of it. We were given fresh fruit which the sign said was "picked daily", unfortunately, the fruit was not changed every day, and was rotting by the third day. The whole "eco" thing is just a marketing ploy and an excuse to cut costs by providing scratchy toilet paper and cutting back on amenities. There was no air conditioning available. While there were recycling bins in the room, when our room was finally cleaned, we saw the staff putting all the rubbish and recycling in the same bag... We asked for a late checkout, but were told that we had to pay additional fees even if we wanted to stay for an extra hour. I expressed my frustration to the reception staff about this considering that we were already paying $1000 USD per night. They eventually called back and advised that we could stay till 1pm, and they hoped that we would appreciate this. RESTAURANT: Our experience at the restaurant was one of the worst dining experiences I have ever had. Our agent made sure to advise the hotel that I was vegan before booking and was assured repeatedly that this would not be a problem. When booking the restaurant I reminded them that I was vegan, and again advised the waiter when we arrived. However the kitchen did not understand the instructions and kept sending food that did not meet my dietary restrictions. First with cheese, which I sent back, then replaced with cheese hidden on the bottom. Completely unacceptable! On our final night we were exhausted and did not want to drive to the neighbouring town so we thought we would give the restaurant another go. After all, it is supposed to be a restaurant at a Michelin key hotel. Despite again informing the staff that I was vegan when making the booking, and then again on arrival, I got the same cheesy dishes as the first time. After several times getting dietary restrictions ignored I had no confidence in their kitchen service so I cancelled the rest of the meal. At that point the restaurant manager finally realised that something was wrong. I described to him what had occurred previously and he was very apologetic, he did not charge us for dinner that night, but to be honest this was too little too late for us. This is supposed to be a quality restaurant for goodness sake, but they did not show even a basic level of care or competence on several separate occasions. We filled out their feedback form when leaving the hotel and never heard from them about our experience at the hotel or the restaurant. BOTTOM LINE - Beware of this tourist trap and avoid this hotel, and the restaurant, they will price gouge you at every point while showing utter and complete disregard for your needs and wishes.

27/02/2025: We happened by chance, a beautiful discovery we were all the time to discuss with Davide, beautiful person delighted us with all the delicacies produced by them and giving us precious local advice highly recommended !!!!!

05/04/2025: nervous and rude staff. make sure they don't get nervous as soon as there are a few more people before hiring them. unpleasant and slow service, for 4 mcflurry they made us wait 30 minutes

05/04/2025: Mc Donald's in San Giovanni la Punta, near the I Portali shopping park. Terrible experience, total lack of hygiene! I ordered a marocchino, a coffee with milk cream: they opened the dishwasher while it was still running to take the glass, then, realizing that I and another lady were looking, they closed the dishwasher, suggesting that I put it in a cup that was on top of the coffee machine. To make the cream they didn't have a clean milk jug and they took one from the sink, simply rinsing it with water. I was surprised, in any case they hadn't prepared a marocchino, but a simple caffè macchiato. I tasted it and, after 2 sips, I left it. It was horrible and I also had stomach problems after half an hour. I will never go there again.

06/04/2025: Typical family-run restaurant, welcoming and bright location, owner attentive to our needs as well as the waiters. Rich menu, with both meat and fish dishes (there is also a nice fresh fish counter near the kitchen) buffet appetizers with a huge choice of typical Sicilian dishes, truly excellent value for money, highly recommended.

12/02/2025: Verre en carton , quantités dans les assiettes réduites, tarifs injustifié , toilettes délabrées et ne ferment pas , aucun coquillage cru , alors que le marché aux poissons touche la terrasse , personnel froid , se fiche totalement des problèmes, je déconseille fortement ce restaurant .

08/02/2025: Pessimo. Carciofi fritti belli da vedere ma immangiabili. Fritti di calmari gommosi e porzioni scarsissime. Pasta cozze e gamberi appena commestibile. Da evitare assolutamente

20/12/2024: The university canteen is a pleasant surprise: excellent cuisine and well-prepared dishes. The chef, in addition to being friendly, makes the experience even more pleasant. Highly recommended!

21/11/2024: I wanted to report my terrible experience with this canteen, being a student on an ITS course in Catania we are entitled to the university canteen through meal vouchers, I arrive on site and I am told that ''they are not valid'' so I ask why and I don't they want to know, so as not to make a fuss I left.. but really rude.
