09/10/2025: Absolute scam. Make sure that you pay prior to eating your food. They charged us 37 euro for 2 microwaved cotolette and some cold contorni as apparently we had ordered “double” portions - but there was obviously no way to prove this after we had eaten. Really disappointing behaviour.

06/08/2025: Simply delicious! I discovered them through a colleague of mine, and every time I go to Catania, it's a must! I highly recommend the pistachio ravioli 😋

29/10/2025: A terrifying experience not to be repeated, the cashier/owner/I don't know was rude, ill-mannered, ignorant, and so on... they will definitely never see me again, I don't recommend it at all... disappointed and annoyed by the attitude and responses.

24/07/2025: They don't have cold drinks!! Like in a supermarket, especially in a place as hot as Catania! With nowhere nearby to buy drinks, they don't sell anything cold! Terrible, I don't recommend it.

19/11/2025: Delicious food. Pizza, pasta, and horse meatballs. My only complaint is that the staff doesn't speak English, but it's manageable.

04/12/2025: A restaurant in the center of town with plenty of seating, including outside. Good service and a warm welcome from the manager. Recommended, especially for special occasions. Decent pizza, especially with the dough, but good toppings.

22/08/2025: The food is excellent, the service is a little less so, because we have to clean the tables before sitting down and the same thing when we leave.

25/11/2025: Unfortunately, my experience wasn't a positive one. We had booked through TheFork at "Lavica," but when we arrived, we found it closed, with a chalkboard indicating we should move to another adjacent restaurant. The first detail is already a bit perplexing. The place was dimly lit, which didn't help create a pleasant atmosphere. We ordered draft beers; the red one was slightly vinegary, the lagers a bit flat, but still drinkable. For our appetizer, we ordered a selection of "porchetta di Ariccia," but what arrived was a platter of very cold cured meats straight from the fridge, with a few additions on top. It really didn't take much to make it a more refined dish... Next up were chicken wings and legs: overall flavorless, and a couple had a strange taste that led us to leave them on the plate. On the plus side, I ordered the pizzolo, which was good (nothing exceptional, but pleasant). I also tried my friend's pinsa, which was good. Overall, the experience wasn't convincing. I don't think we'll return, at least not under these circumstances.

21/10/2025: For me, this hotel has become a regular stopover when I work in the Catania area. My company and I choose it for its excellent location. There's ample parking, and the building and rooms are a bit dated, but they're spacious and equipped with everything you need. The staff is extremely friendly and professional. We usually opt for the half-board option, and the evening meal service is excellent. The food is generous and tasty, but breakfast is a bit basic.

12/10/2025: Spacious but slightly dated rooms. The bathtubs in the bathroom should be removed; they're uncomfortable, dangerous, and unhygienic.

12/10/2025: I went there for my son's confirmation, returning for the second time because I had a good time for his first communion, I returned. But given the welcome I will not return. The food is excellent, I have nothing to say, only the children's appetizers they put smoked ham and the children did not even touch the appetizer and I had specified to make a simple appetizer of ham, salami and cheese for children but it was not so. The waiter Alfio who served us was very kind. Instead, speaking where I was very disappointed was that I had said that I had to set up the room for my son, since I was the one who had to set up the room and mother of the birthday boy, I asked if he could help me with the times to set everything up from the day before or in the morning. But none of this. He gave me the latest time. The head waiter arrived there and they didn't know where I had to set up, waiting until 4 pm. Then they gave me a minimum space after I had asked from the beginning for a little space to set up. But the head waiter, as I saw, did everything to not help me. I was very disappointed. Also because that evening I was the only one who had the set up while everyone else had huge tables with nothing just to put the gifts on. And if I say this, it's because I've been to many restaurants and I know how it all works. A real disappointment.

12/10/2025: We already knew the place, and we already knew the pizza was superb! In fact, we celebrated our daughter's confirmation there and it didn't disappoint once again! Delicious pizzas, appetizers, and cake. The staff were incredibly polite, helpful, and exceptional! We spent an evening filled with good food, good wine, and a great time. Highly recommended for all types of events or just to enjoy their delicious food. Congratulations!

08/11/2025: Delicious, creative farm to table mostly vegetable dishes. Staying nearby walked in for lunch, had the Cauliflower Pumpkin and nuts dish, Black. Chickpea Hummus and Broccoli ‘Meatballs’ along with a couple glasses of wine. Family run, English speaking, personable and excellent service. Multiple seating areas, space for events. I’m glad I was able to experience this excellent restaurant!

16/10/2025: Our italian friend took us here when we askes about vegetables and meat. It so delicious, tasteful. And so friendly, also for our little children

29/07/2025: Terrible experience, I went in to buy an arancino and paid €2 for it, but when I came out I saw that there was a price list hanging outside with the arancino €1.50...!!!!!!.. but what was equally serious, the arancino was inedible... cold, poorly seasoned and very dry... and to think that a tourist was supposed to eat it....!!!!

29/07/2025: Old style bakery, very good semolina bread, well cooked and tasty, but lately I've tried the pizzas, both the large ones and the small ones in the bag, and the taste really seemed like eating a sponge... well, unfortunately they ended up in the garbage, even though I don't like throwing away food, but no one in my family ate them.

23/11/2025: The interior of the place was lacking: everything was dirty, the bathrooms were awful, the music was too loud, the waiters were unavailable, it took 20 minutes to pay the bill. People were drinking and dancing with beer in hand next to tables with children. A disgrace! A historic place that I'd been fortunate enough to never have been to, and judging by the evening, I could have easily avoided this dinner as well.
