06/12/2025: A fantastic dinner at this family-run restaurant in the center of Catania. The owner was extremely kind in his service, and everything was delicious, with generous portions and incredibly fresh fish. I absolutely recommend a visit to this delightful trattoria.

During our tour of Trinacria we always found kind and helpful people, when in Palermo (4 days) under our B&B we met Diego and his wife we ​​had confirmation that, as the title of the review says, certain things are in your blood, you can't invent them... A sincere thank you for the good food, the information, the availability and the friendliness of this couple and to the entire staff of the Ristobar. 09/12/2025: Positive experience, excellent food, good product quality, excellent flavors, the only flaw was the wait that was a bit long but considering it was a holiday, it was entirely plausible, liqueurs and coffee complimentary by the manager...

08/12/2025: Compared to the average prices at other restaurants, I noticed that this one was slightly higher, and I thought the quality was better too. We had the couscous, which was subpar. A chicken cutlet and some very salty and dry rolls. The wait was incredibly long; I was completely disappointed with the food, but the service was anything but friendly and attentive. At the cashier's desk, we paid €94.50, not even a coffee was offered, and no offer to round up (but that's understandable). It's not for everyone. I don't think I'll return.

07/10/2025: Unfortunately, this was our least favorite dining experience in Sicily. The gnnochi dish was cold and had zero taste. Grilled veggies were a couple of bites of zucchini and eggplant floating in oil. An extra star because of the cozy atmosphere.

11/09/2025: Superb food. Completely new to me, but the waiter's knowledge and dedication helped us in a fantastic way and we got a lovely Syracusan taste experience. So good. Can really recommend the food

07/10/2025: It was the best value for money restaurant among the many I visited in Trapani. Super fresh fish! Extremely honest and fair, unlike those that make a distinction between tourists and locals. Highly recommended, excellent dishes. A tip to start? Peppered mussels 🔝

05/10/2025: We were on vacation and on our first night we decided to dine at this restaurant. We had a very good fish appetizer, a first course of spaghetti with sea urchins, and, at the recommendation of the chef, who comes to take our orders, a baked lampuka. It was cleaned and deboned at the table. The fish was meaty and flavorful. Excellent chef. We enjoyed it so much that we returned for lunch on our day of departure from Trapani. The staff was friendly and polite.

21/11/2025: A touristy restaurant, home-cooked dishes using low-quality ingredients (the spice rack contained Lidl products). The staff were young and inexperienced. We ordered an appetizer and two first courses, and they brought us two appetizers and a first course! The location was super simple... if I were to return to Palermo, I wouldn't go back.

11/11/2025: The food is okay, with a nice local touch and feeling. Was delighted with the pasta fresca sarde e finocchietto, grilled polpo with pistachio cream was delicious as well. Giuseppe was a very nice, friendly, and amiable waiter and host. The only thing missing was good extra virgin olive oil. This is not just the case at Da Bacco, but at many other restaurants in Palermo, Sicily, and Italy in general. It’s a shame that in the country known for some of the world’s best olive oils, the majority of restaurants and trattorias serve poor-quality EVOO.

10/11/2025: My wife and I were struggling to find a restaurant open on a Monday afternoon until we found this gem. My wife, who has Sicilian family members said this tasted just like a home cooked meal! You can see the cooks in the back making everything fresh. The service is great and they make you feel like you’re eating at someone’s home. Definitely a must if you’re visiting the area!

10/09/2024: Locale eccellente all'avanguardia con le risorse alimentari e molto economico presenta un'eleganza fuori dall'ordinario molto comodo e confortevole lo staff super simpatico e professionale il gelato è decisamente tra i migliori mai assaggiati quindi lo consiglio assolutamente in questo bar di trappeto troverete tutto ciò che un cliente può desiderare in oltre dotato di mansarda sufficentemente spaziosa dove poter consumare tranquillamente un buon caffè o ciò che più vi aggrada

07/11/2025: I'll just comment on the restaurant, which is good for its location and service, but I'd rather put the food on the menu than the rooms. The food is good quality, made with fresh ingredients, the service is top-notch, and the location is great. In short, three indoor dining rooms plus a garden open in the summer make the Monte San Giuliano restaurant a comfortable place to spend your evenings enjoying good food. Chef Matteo Giurlanda, a member of the Italian Chefs Federation, has made the authenticity of his products his forte, combining fresh ingredients (just think of the fresh homemade pasta) with authentic Mediterranean flavors. He begins with traditional Trapani recipes and explores the flavors of the Mediterranean basin: oil, almonds, olives, pistachios, garlic, tuna products, and more.

23/10/2025: A simple stop on a gloomy day in Erice. Genovese with freshly made ricotta and Genovese with cream, delicious and crunchy! The pistachio coffee and pomegranate juice are delicious. The atmosphere is rustic and welcoming, just like the owners.
