12/08/2025: A total disappointment. I came here after seeing the positive reviews and the awards, and we ordered several pieces of the rotisserie: a small Primavera triangle (which had the toppings concentrated in the center and was otherwise bread); a slice of Margherita pizza (unfortunately, to be honest, it was on par with the ones I get at kebab shops in Rome, nothing special, just to stave off hunger), and a mignolata. This last one is supposed to be an Agrigento specialty, and I believe they've even won awards. I tasted it and spat it out: it was completely raw in the center, meaning there was just the soft, raw dough!!!!!! Eating yeast like that is absurd and unhealthy...

29/07/2025: Top of the range in every way, I came down from Marsala specifically to try many of their specialties including artisanal cured meats, roast beef and pulled pork which is the best thing I've ever eaten, not to mention their friendliness and cordiality...it's really worth the 2 hour drive for them...I highly recommend them.

28/07/2025: Sandwiches stuffed with misery. If you concentrate, you might even smell the cured meats. Making sandwiches this big makes no sense to me if you only put a hint of condiment inside. I'd make the sandwiches smaller or raise the prices if adding two extra slices of ham and cheese just couldn't fit in. The person at the cash register was annoyed by the customers; we seemed like a nuisance.

27/08/2025: A reasonably well-stocked arancineria with many flavors of arancini. Sometimes, however, they run out of some flavors by mid-evening, and I don't know why they don't restock like they used to. Overall, a decent and informal place.

07/09/2025: A famous pizzeria in Taormina, offering a wide selection of pizzas. Unfortunately, even at this restaurant, which is owned by the same company as 5 other restaurants in town, the service leaves much to be desired. The waiters, presumably seasonal, are inexperienced and show little desire to be professional and courteous. As for the quality of the food, the pizzas were truly well-cooked and had just the right amount of ingredients. A poor rating, however, goes to the Villa Zuccaro salad, of which I've attached a photo. It was prepared with no attention to detail and in a haphazard manner, to say the least, full of liquid likely from undrained corn and mozzarella, and with a few pieces of tomato coming from the ends, making them inedible. When we complained, the waiter responded with a mocking laugh, which we couldn't tell whether it was directed at the chef or at us. Finally, the placemats are eco-friendly and give off a truly awful odor that is unbecoming of a dining establishment. When we pointed this out, the waiter replied that these placemats need to be used and we'll have to wait for them to run out. A different response would have been more appropriate, such as simply removing them entirely from the table. When it came time to pay, the manager was very polite and kind, removing the salad from the bill and apologizing for the unexpected. Without taking anything away from the quality of the food and pizzas, which I've eaten at this establishment several times, what I've seen over the years is unfortunately a way of living off the splendid location in Taormina, with little attention to the quality of service that is unfortunately essential in establishments like this. Frequented not only by tourists but also by locals who expect the most friendly and welcoming treatment possible.

07/09/2025: Dream pizza in Taormina: Villa Zuccaro, a delicious discovery! I discovered a true slice of gastronomic paradise: Villa Zuccaro. A fantastic pizzeria where I tasted one of the best pizzas I've ever had. The atmosphere is magical: you're immersed in a well-kept garden, far from the chaos of the main street, with soft lighting that makes everything very intimate and romantic. The staff was incredibly welcoming, kind, and helpful, and immediately put us at ease. And then, the pizza. Man, it's delicious! The dough is light and easy to digest, the toppings are fresh and high-quality, and it's perfectly cooked. Every bite was an explosion of flavor. In addition to the excellent pizza, we also enjoyed the vast selection of craft beers and the wide selection of local wines. The value for money, considering the location and the quality of the food, is absolutely fair. In short, if you're looking for a place in Taormina to eat excellent pizza in an elegant yet relaxed atmosphere, Villa Zuccaro is the perfect choice. A culinary experience I highly recommend!

24/08/2025: We stayed two nights and had a really good time. The tasting menu with a platter was also excellent. I only recommend expanding the breakfast selection, but everything was excellent.

18/08/2025: We booked Baglio Donna Franca as our wedding venue for our ceremony and reception party. Paola and her team were welcoming and helpful in offering us an opportunity to create our dream wedding vision across all parts of the venue. Very good communication throughout the process. Room are comfortable for guests to stay in and the sunset views by the pool are mesmerising. They have the most delicious selection of wine from the vineyard which us and many wedding guests have brought back to the UK.
