Among the typical local dishes is the Tarantino calzone, a sort of half-moon ravioli drowned in tomato sauce with horse and flakes of caciocavallo cheese. They usually make generous first courses in a large pan, regardless of who had booked a tasting they still offer it. Truly super welcome.

23/04/2025: Siamo stati 2 volte a pranzo e abbiamo mangiato un panino. Chiamarlo panino è un eufemismo perché dentro c'era di tutto: salame, prosciutto crudo e cotto, duya, carciofini, sottaceti, friarelli, formaggio fresco e stagionato, mozzarelle, ecc. Insomma, ci potevi mettere quello che volevi, Jerry ha tutto! Prezzo: solo 5 euro. C'è anche da bere, birra, acqua, ecc.

03/04/2025: Jerry's is a very basic place, for people who work and want to get a stuffed sandwich to replace lunch. You enter, take your number, and when your turn comes you start choosing both the type of bread and the filling (a huge choice of cured meats, cheeses and vegetables of all kinds). You can also choose whether to have the sandwich heated on the griddle and consumed on the spot (standing, without pretensions, placing the drink on the tables when free). The price varies based on the filling, but with an average cost of around 5-7 euros, you get a sandwich and a drink that fills your stomach abundantly. For those who are in a hurry, given that there is a long queue at peak times, you can get ready-made sandwiches and skip the queue by paying directly at the cash register. However, during peak hours I never waited more than 10 minutes, as you were served by several people at the same time.

24/05/2025: Cool restaurant! Around 9:00 p.m. on a Friday evening, it got really busy and lively. A large selection of delicious dishes, including various vegetarian options, and reasonable prices. Truly delicious, I'd love to go again.

30/05/2025: We had dinner and not knowing the place we started looking on Google we were attracted by the photos of some dishes I assure you up close they were spectacular even better the flavors were unique and delicate a spectacle for the palate the service was excellent I would have put only one star only because I learned from little Diego that he is an Inter fan he is also the dad but alas unfortunately there must be a flaw we cannot be perfect we are not robots 😉😜 .... 24/05/2025: I ended up there by chance and I have to say I liked it. Clean, very welcoming environment. You immediately sense that you will spend a few pleasant hours. The welcome from the staff then gave the right push. The refined dishes and generous portions. Attention to detail that certainly makes the difference. I recommend this place to those looking for a touch of style without too many frills.

13/05/2025: Petite Osteria conseillée par notre hôte .. très bon .. affaire familiale .. la cheffe vient vous voir à table pour se présenter.. les « carciofi salati » sont une pure merveille … le polpo.. le gamberi .. tout est bon et je pense ,cuisiné, como a casa… sur les murs les dessins du patron .. terrasse dans la ruelle … typique !!

11/05/2025: We discovered Macchiaviva during a trip to Grottaglie and were really impressed. There were four of us and we had lunch choosing a first course each, accompanied by a fried fish to share and, to conclude, two homemade desserts. Everything lived up to expectations, but the mussels, very fresh and tasty, and the artisanal desserts, which show the passion and care with which they are prepared, deserve a special mention. The dining room staff and the owner family welcomed us with great kindness, demonstrating rare attention not only towards us, but also towards our dog, who was pampered like an honored customer. We will definitely be back!

In an era of gourmet dishes, starred chefs and fake gastronomy, it was a dinner that took me back in time. I recommend it to you.
