26/01/2026: OK, the best sushi spot in Sarasota, FL is no more... see my prior review history for location, sadly it's gone forever. Now, moving up a slot, is Utamaro Sushi Bar located downtown Sarasota. Been going here for years, always exceptional, now 100% the go to place in SRQ for sushi.
Note this review is for take-out, holiday party at the office, everyone but the CEO loves sushi, but he stepped up and tried Yellow Tail, LOL, and loved the cooked orders.
You won't be disappointed, please GO. Check out this spread of delish photos! Here we have:
SUSHI = Hamachi, Bluefin, Uni, Sake, Scallop, Fatty Tuna. The only thing missing was Saba... I requested but somehow the request was denied LOL by ordering party (private joke).
ROLLS = Manhattan, Flamingo, Seakosho, Dragon, Emperor, Spicy Tuna, Bang-Bang, Mexican Roll, Triple Tail, Eel, California.
14/01/2026: We have always had a go to sushi spot. But, tonight we wanted something closer to home. Utamaro exceeded our expectations! Quite possibly the freshest, best quality sushi we have had. Will be our new sushi spot! Thanks for providing such quality and service.

11/04/2026: EXCEPTIONAL... stone-fired, pan-baked, fried, and plated pizzas, light doughs, high-quality toppings, and carefully crafted combinations. The wait staff is professional and courteous. If governments were run by people this skilled, they wouldn't be in trouble. Well done!
10/04/2026: We had the pleasure of dining at the Motepeloso pizzeria in Lucera the night before an important sporting event, and the experience was truly excellent.
Our fencers from the San Marco Fencing Academy in Vittorio Veneto came down to participate in the second National Under-14 Sabre competition in San Severo, and we chose this place to relax and recharge after a long journey.
The pizza was excellent: light dough, quality ingredients, and a wide variety on the menu. The entire team was very satisfied, both with the taste and the digestibility, an essential aspect before a competition.
A special thanks goes to Angelica for the service: kind, attentive, and always available, she helped make the evening even more enjoyable, making us feel truly welcome.
We highly recommend this pizzeria to anyone passing through Lucera: top-notch quality, hospitality, and professionalism! 🍕

30/03/2026: Fresh flowers on the table, super helpful, kind, and friendly staff.
Many of the products used are locally sourced (Coldiretti market), so the dishes are incredibly good.
Yes, some things could be improved, but overall, everything is truly delicious.

08/06/2026: It was a wonderful experience, the food was excellent. The children enthusiastically followed the prehistoric tour, and during lunch there were entertainers who kept them entertained. The only thing that could be improved was the timing of the service, but the quality of the food was excellent, and the waiters were kind and polite. Worth a try.
01/06/2026: After a walk in the forest, you arrive and find a beautiful place.
Excellent cuisine and friendly, helpful staff.
Highly recommended.

14/04/2026: The excellent cuisine and the warm welcome of Mr. Rosario are the restaurant's strong points. As soon as we arrived, having warned us that two other diners were running late, he not only took care to engage us in lively conversation but also immediately arranged for us to have some good wine. The atmosphere was immediately familiar and authentic, the expression of someone who truly does this job with passion, a quality that is reflected in the cuisine: we enjoyed homemade dishes with intense and authentic flavors, made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. Everything was excellent: the ultra-fresh anchovy fillets, the fried fish, the tiella barese meatballs, the octopus, the seared tuna, the bruschetta with caparroni, and even the first courses, each more delicious than the last (my spaghetti with crab was superb). To round off the evening, a special mention must also be made of the impeccable service and the truly welcoming atmosphere.

The service is also exceptional: Marco is incredibly friendly and welcoming, and he makes you feel at home. Highly recommended!
20/10/2025: We found a welcoming atmosphere and extremely friendly staff. The dishes were generous and tasty. They also helped us with our phone charging issue by providing their charger. Oh, and I forgot, don't miss their tart—it's not just good, it's excellent. Thanks for everything.

04/05/2026: We had dinner at this restaurant in Mattinata and had a very positive experience. We ate inside, but the restaurant also has a truly beautiful terrace with a sea view.
We loved the food: well-prepared, tasty dishes made with quality ingredients.
The service was prompt and friendly. The owner, in particular, was very kind: even though dinner was served inside, he gave us the option of enjoying dessert on the terrace. A simple but much-appreciated gesture, which made the evening's ending even more enjoyable.
The value for money was also good, in line with what we ate.
Overall, a lovely experience that we would recommend.
03/05/2026: Excellent seafood dishes, including a top-notch tuna steak, friendly and helpful staff, a warm welcome, and a breathtaking view (if the weather permits, you can eat outside). A restaurant I highly recommend!

We recommend it, especially if, like us, you want to take advantage of its strategic location in the historic center, just steps from the Archaeological Museum (also recommended!).
The staff is welcoming, and the dishes blend local products with innovative flavors. The dishes are always balanced yet tasty, and every choice reveals thoughtful consideration.
The dining room seats no more than 50 people, but this makes the experience even more special and intimate.
We'll definitely be back!

I'm not giving it a fifth star because the freshly made troccoli with shrimp soak up all the seafood sauce, which is also incredibly fresh. Served with dried pasta, this dish would deserve a Michelin star.
