26/03/2026: Best food we had in Puglia, period. Everything on the table comes from what you see around you on the property. We had to buy a jar of their olives before we left, and you should do too.

13/01/2026: I was there with my boyfriend last July, and I have to say that what I ate personally reminded me of the flavors of home, of what my grandmother used to make. Since I no longer live in Italy, it all took me back to my childhood memories. The owner of the masseria shared her passion for what she does with us, leaving us feeling truly touched. What can I say...the quality and price of the food are spot on, locally sourced! As soon as we're back in Italy, we'll be happy to return :). The cheeses are truly exceptional!!! 02/11/2025: It's become a regular stop. The fish is incredibly fresh and the meat selection is excellent. The staff is incredibly friendly, and the owner is always attentive to the customer's needs.

21/03/2026: Despite the owners' friendliness, the food was very greasy and tasteless. The traditional turnip ears were bland and very greasy. The hot cheese at the end of the meal was also tasteless.

08/03/2026: Unfortunately, there's no point in serving excellent food when you're then forced to SCREAM to converse with your guests at the table, given the screams and shouts of rude children running around the tables the entire time, with their parents completely indifferent. Unfortunately, in Vieste, when there are no tourists, this seems to be normal, as the same thing has happened to me in other places. Perhaps a separate dining room or a children's area would be a good idea. The service also isn't commensurate with the price, which is quite high. The exterior, a beautiful olive grove, deserves special mention.

23/10/2025: Review: Chalet Degli Ulivi (visit in August 2025) Unfortunately, our visit was a disappointment – ​​even though we were really looking forward to it after reading so many good reviews. The service was completely overwhelmed: only one waiter was allowed to take orders, the others seemed to wander around aimlessly, only allowed to serve or clear away. The wait was correspondingly long – and even when our glasses were long empty, no one thought to ask if we wanted something else to drink. Our child's meal arrived 20 minutes before the adults', and our plates arrived one by one with an even longer delay. Nothing is more uncomfortable than when one person at a table is already finished while another is just getting started. The playground area was also a disappointment: there was a charge, although this wasn't clearly communicated anywhere – neither on the website nor on Facebook. We came specifically for that. Food? Mediocre. The pasta and pizza were okay, the meat was actually good – but when the wrong side dishes arrive (four sad potato slices for €5 instead of fries!) and the "mixed salad" consists only of green salad, without the fennel or cucumbers as advertised, you eventually lose patience. The ambiance is nice, yes. But a beautiful wooden house alone doesn't make a good restaurant. Anyone who relies on its view instead of organization, service, and honesty won't have satisfied customers in the long run. By the way, we then had to wait another 30 minutes for the bill – a worthy end to a frustrating evening. Conclusion: Nice restaurant, unfortunately with a lot of show and little substance. Three stars – only because the meat was really good.

02/05/2026: The portions are a bit small for the price, but the food is quite good. The atmosphere is welcoming, even if a bit old-fashioned, for being close to the sea.

02/05/2026: We returned from Rome for the second time today for lunch. The fish was very fresh, the risotto was delicious, and the sea bream fillet with capers and olives was exquisite. Friendly staff. The owner, Gianni, even gave us a jar of their own olives. We'll definitely be back.

19/10/2025: We are staying not far from Donna Maria and were looking for something nice for dinner. We found just what we were looking for. The bread seems to be a house made loaf which is a pleasant change from some who just drop some rando bread in a basket on the table. This bread is good quality. We began with beef carppacio which was delicious, especially the olive paste which provided a natural salty component. My wife had gnocchi with lamb ragu and I enjoyed the mezzi ziti with a rich beef sauce. Both just wonderful dishes. Especially with Negroamaro to pair with. We finished with a Crema di ricotta pugliese dessert that's a regional favorite. It was a wonderful meal and the staff were professional and friendly.

09/01/2026: The atmosphere is super clean, the owners are incredibly friendly and welcome customers with kindness and professionalism. And the pizza, what can I say? Soft and light dough, just the right toppings, and you can even choose a version not listed on the menu. Must try radicchio, gorgonzola, speck, and buffalo mozzarella. EXCELLENT ☺️ The pizzeria also offers a round pizza option, with reasonable prices. Well done, and thank you always ❤️

14/10/2025: Very nice place if you are in Vieste absolutely to try I recommend before the beautiful sunset, the fast service and it feels like eating at grandma's with the table under the porch, there are kittens and geckos very beautiful. The road to get to the Ranch is to be done at low speeds I having a sports car with low suspension I did not risk it. The owners are very kind

16/09/2025: Had the best, authentic meal here! So grateful for our friends Rocco and Ilaria that brought us to experience the best of Vieste! From the bruschetta, with all the options like roasted peppers, marinated eggplant and zucchini, melted caciocavallo cheese, and sun dried tomatoes to the grilled meats, everything was exquisite and so tasty! To top it off, an after dinner limoncello made with olive tree leaves 🧑‍🍳 like nothing we’ve ever tasted! We highly recommend this place if you want a genuine, rustic experience set among the olive groves of Vieste with amazing views!

20/03/2026: Great restaurant that's open even in the off-season. Beautiful view directly overlooking the bay, especially at sunset. Food is served from 6:30 pm, including wood-fired pizza. So it's perfect for people like us who don't want to eat at 8 pm. They also offer takeaway pizza, which is some of the best, by the way! 3 minutes by bike from the campsite.

02/03/2026: If you're looking for a place where both your palate and your eyes are pampered equally, the Al Tramonto restaurant in Vieste is a must-visit, even for lunch!

12/12/2025: Anyone passing through Vieste and not stocking up at La Massaia is committing a crime against humanity. I haven't been able to make it there for many years now, but supplies arrive here in Florence too. Unique, original, and unparalleled goodness. Impeccable service. Long live La Massaia.

11/12/2025: I had the pleasure of meeting the shop, its products, and its managers directly on site in Vieste. I was able to choose the products right in the shop, even sampling them. I wanted to try home delivery so I could put these delicious cheeses on the table for the holidays. Delivery in 4 days as specified. Perfectly vacuum-packed. I'm satisfied. If he's the owner of this cafe, it's a waste of time and nothing will change. If he's just an employee, the owner should offer him an internship. Service 0, food good.
