15/06/2026: We ate at this little place located in one of Peschici's alleys. There are a few tables set up right on the street. It's very cute, and the service is excellent. The panzerotti were truly delicious!

12/06/2026: It's a wonderful little place, facing a narrow alley with a sea view. The dishes are delicious, prepared before your very eyes, with fast, friendly, and welcoming service. It's worth stopping by. ❤️ The octopus bruschetta is AMAZING. ❤️

01/06/2026: The food wasn't bad, and the location, with its splendid sea view, certainly left a good impression. Unfortunately, however, the service completely ruined the experience. We waited about 45 minutes before we could order, despite no waiter or maître d' approaching our table. After ordering, we had to wait another 45 minutes for our dishes. The most unpleasant thing was that my friend's dish arrived first, while mine wasn't served until about 15 minutes later, effectively forcing us to eat separately. It's a shame, because the food quality is decent and the view is truly breathtaking. However, such long wait times and such careless service management are unacceptable. Overall, unfortunately, I can't give a positive review.

10/05/2026: Porta di Basso was, quite simply, exceptional. The kind of restaurant that reminds you why certain dining experiences stay with you long after the evening ends. Set dramatically above the Adriatic, the atmosphere is breathtaking from the moment you arrive. As the light softened over the sea and the cliffs below, the entire evening felt almost cinematic — elegant, intimate and deeply connected to the landscape of Gargano. The cuisine was outstanding. Creative yet restrained, refined without losing soul. Every dish felt thoughtful, beautifully balanced and deeply rooted in the territory while still carrying the confidence of true fine dining. One of those rare tasting experiences where every course genuinely surprises and delights. What elevated the evening even further however was the extraordinary service. Warm, polished, passionate and incredibly attentive without ever becoming formal or stiff. The entire team made us feel genuinely welcomed and carefully looked after throughout the night. Porta di Basso is not simply a restaurant — it is a destination experience. A place where setting, cuisine and hospitality align perfectly. Without doubt one of the most memorable dining experiences we have had in Italy.

21/06/2026: We booked for dinner one evening. The owner was kind enough to both collect us from our hotel and take us home at the end of what was a divine meal. Everything we had was delicious. The various courses we were given were beautifully balanced and served with such care and explanation by our waiter. He couldn’t have been more attentive and kind during the whole evening. Having dinner on the terrace, enjoying the food and the ambience was one of the highlights of our holiday. Don’t miss this place! Thank you so much to the owner and the staff.

24/08/2025: I've never had a business owner refuse to seat me, even though we'd said we'd wait to get a seat because there wasn't enough room. A table was about to become available, and the very customers who were supposed to give up their seats were shocked by the owner's response. Rude to the max, arrogant and presumptuous. There were eight of us; not only did they lose a potentially inviting table, but there was no valid reason why we shouldn't be seated.

16/09/2025: If you're looking for peace, relaxation, and a warm welcome, De Sio Village will give you all this, plus wonderful breakfasts. It's close to Manaccora beach, the Umbrian forest in Vieste, and much more. I absolutely recommend it. I was there in September and it was truly peaceful! The De Sio family made me feel at home!
