17/05/2025: We were passing through Barletta when we decided to get an ice cream before going home. Being celiac I started looking for an ice cream shop specializing in gluten free products; what can I say... exceptional ice cream, never eaten so good! My husband and I were thrilled with both the ice cream and the highly qualified and super helpful staff. A special thanks to Giovanni!

21/05/2025: A four-star hotel when it opened .....90s, if not earlier. Large structure but not old. Rooms at least need to be painted... own beach on the rocks, also for a fee for hotel guests.... A hotel that was four stars when it opened. Late socialist or early democratic style. Torn and dirty red walkways, crazy plaster in the corridor. Rooms in terrible green, old bathrooms and worn furniture. At least clean beds and sheets. Beach on rocks and opposite the entrance even for hotel guests. Restaurant with a great view and staff with bad manners...

17/05/2025: An old hotel but with a professional and very kind staff. Rich breakfast with sweet and savory. Convenient parking. To close the position facing the sea that makes it unique as its terrace. I repeat dated room but the rest .... UNBEATABLE

28/04/2025: Optimal! We had linguine with seafood, grilled sea bream and fried seafood. Everything really delicious and fresh. Only the house sparkling white wine wasn't that great but this doesn't affect the friendliness of the owners and the goodness of the food. Super recommended!

13/05/2025: Here I ate one of the best pizzas of my life, I don't remember the name but it's the one with anchovies, olives and buffalo mozzarella, with Neapolitan dough. Courteous and efficient service.

10/05/2025: It was a very nice place. The service was there quick and friendly. The 2 pizzas we had were super at very reasonable price. We had 2x2 glasses, very nice rose and water with the pizzas. It was many locals there, and that made the atmosphere very local.

28/05/2025: We only used the restaurant. Our opinion is clear, since we had dinner there for two of the two nights we stayed in Santa Margherita. The food is really excellent. Since the first night we especially appreciated the green tagliolini with scorpion fish and angler fish, recommended by the very kind, expert, and very attentive maître Angelo, the second night we relied on his advice completely, tasting delicacies: the standouts were a fillet of red tuna in a pistachio crust, soft and tasty, and breaded cod cooked at low temperature with a cream of caramelized onions. And anyway, even the basic orecchiette with sauce, here seem better. The quality/price ratio is really excellent. We will be back.

13/05/2025: We stayed not in hotels but in apartments connected to them. Not bad except that to go up you pass next to the kitchen with very strong smells that are not always pleasant.

25/05/2025: Fantastic service (even though we do not speak Italian, despite the best efforts of Google Translate) they were kind and patient with us. The food was very tasty, especially the Calabrese pizza, and the atmosphere was popping after 20:00!

17/05/2025: Disappointing experience. We left Andria specifically to eat a panzerotto, with a confirmed reservation for 7:45 pm. When we called back to confirm, we were told that the table was instead scheduled for 9:30 pm, denying any previous agreement with a simple "I don't know who you spoke to". We offered to at least pick up the panzerotti to take away, but we were told that that wasn't possible either. In conclusion, after half an hour of travel we arrived in Minervino without eating. Little professionalism, zero availability. A real shame. Finally we decided to go to McDonald's

06/05/2025: We went to this pub on Saturday night. We sat down at 9.20pm and immediately ordered drinks. After a few minutes we also ordered food: two appetizers, including bruschetta, plus a pizza and a plated hamburger. We waited until 11pm to eat. We asked over and over how much longer we still had to wait and the waitress, very kind and obviously embarrassed, always tried to find a way to apologize and try to make us wait. In the meantime, other people also began to point out that the wait was really heavy, so much so that many left. Finally, at around 11pm, the food arrives: the bruschetta was evidently burnt and my hamburger, of which I attach an image, was more than burnt. I pointed this out to the owner after paying so as not to create any misunderstandings but in any case he didn't come to us in any way. We won't set foot there again.

27/04/2025: A Sunday afternoon in Barletta. We're Canadians and were advised that this pub had a few screens to watch sports - so we made it our destination. The support staff is amazing but the top guy was very pushy. No menu was ever given to us but he advised us to have an antipasto plate - and some spaghetti. We said no to the pasta but okay to the plate of cheese and meats. The plate was enough to feed 4 people and the cost was 20 euros and along with it a plate of foccacia that we didn't ask for, which was only 3 euros. After 1 pint each of draft beer followed by a half pint we were full and ready to head home. Total bill for a mid day lunch was 38 euros. Pretty expensive from our perspective.
