16/07/2026: A fantastic steakhouse in Verbania! Mad’O Buffalo impresses with its cozy, rustic atmosphere, very friendly service, and outstanding meat quality. The steaks were perfectly cooked, tender, and delicious. The burgers are also highly recommended. The warm service and relaxed atmosphere were particularly noteworthy – you immediately feel welcome. An ideal place for anyone who enjoys good meat and wants to spend a pleasant evening. We will definitely be back and highly recommend Mad’O Buffalo to all meat lovers!

05/06/2026: If you like a really good, large piece of meat on your plate, this is the place for you. We were thrilled because everything was cooked to perfection, served piping hot, and tasted fantastic. The side dishes were also delicious, though a bit smaller. But that didn't matter, because we were already feeling full after about two-thirds of the meal, and we still finished our plates because it was so good. The drinks menu includes German beers and wheat beers, among other things. The ambiance is also impressive. The walls are adorned with many framed posters and vintage advertisements. It's worth taking a closer look during your visit; it's really well done. The furniture is functional, in a traditional Bavarian pub style. Don't be fooled by the exterior; the dining room is spotless. The staff is very friendly, and the owner is also the chef. All in all, a truly charming pub with unbeatable value for money. Highly recommended.

29/06/2026: A wonderful discovery, we stumbled upon it by chance! Locanda Dal Gabi was a lovely surprise. The atmosphere was wonderful, the service was welcoming, and everything was excellent. The only shame was the mosquitoes, which literally ate up the fifth star! Highly recommended, but next time we'll bring bug spray.

12/06/2026: I've lived away from Casale for years, and when I return, it always feels like something new has changed or happened. This time, my new discovery was Locanda del Gabi, which I didn't know existed until last night. The restaurant is located in the Gabbio hamlet and exudes simplicity and hospitality, hallmarks of a place where you can tell you'll eat well. Our dinner focused primarily on seafood, which I've never found up to par in the Casale Corte Cerro area and the surrounding area. The risk was worth it: it's been a while since I've eaten such good fish in Piedmont! Let's start with the first course, the spaghetti allo scoglio: simply sensational. Packed with seafood, cuttlefish, and shrimp—shelled, what a joy! I hate cleaning them—it had a sauce so good that calling it that would be an understatement. Of course, we mopped it all up in the charming pan in which it's served. The tartare was also good, and I took a bite: simply seasoned, it brought out the flavor of the meat. The second courses even surpassed the first courses. The three of us shared a generous mixed fried fish dish, crispy and not at all greasy, packed with enormous, succulent shrimp, and—my favorite dish of the dinner—stuffed cuttlefish with their tentacles, shrimp tails, and grilled octopus, all tender and flavorful even without seasoning, a sign of the high quality of the fish. The desserts were also good, although slightly below expectations (the tiramisu with cream wasn't exactly the best). The warm apple puff pastry with ice cream, on the other hand, was my sweet conclusion to an excellent dinner. A good selection of both local and national wines. Impeccable service: kindness and availability are the watchwords of the restaurant. A plus, for us, was the presence of live music, which enlivened and made the evening even more magical. The price was commendable: with all the fish we ate, desserts, wine, and a few rounds of liqueurs, we spent €50 each. Locanda del Gabi, for me, is an excellent establishment in the Cusio area and another source of pride for Casale Corte Cerro.

16/05/2026: High-quality products (cured meats, cheeses, wines, preserves…), and a very warm welcome. We went there every day during our stay at Lake Maggiore. A must-visit if you're in the area.

07/04/2026: You absolutely must try the sandwiches here! The super fresh prosciutto, cheese, and panini will make you realize that this is the real Italy.

14/06/2026: Lunch with friends after a motorcycle ride. The service was very fast and courteous. The cheese platter was excellent, as were the wild boar-filled ravioli. The prices were fair and the portions were generous. A regular stop every year, always with the same excellent service.

The usual place where the tourist is simply a "number" to be "used" 💶💶💶 After waiting standing in the center of the outdoor dining area, there was no interaction with the service staff... a simple "Excuse me...just a moment and we'll be there...etc." would have sufficed. We simply perceived expressions of annoyance and indifference. I'll overlook the curt and rude response to our legitimate request for a table (there were a couple free, though they needed clearing). In essence... they made us feel like a burden... an inconvenience to be "disposed of"... certainly not like two customers to be welcomed... Finally, after observing the annoyed expressions and hearing several complaints about the endless waits, even from guests seated at tables, my wife and I "threw in the towel" and turned around... I'm sorry... I'm not used to writing such negative reviews... but this time... I should point out that I didn't rate the rooms because we were obviously passing through on a day trip. Conclusion: In our opinion, the usual super-touristy place located in a scenic area... ready to "pluck" unsuspecting tourists, especially those often from abroad. 💶💶💶
