15/02/2026: The Prague ham was truly disappointing... Much better than the one you get at the service stations. The rest wasn't great either. Most likely, we were having a bad day.

13/04/2026: I went for lunch over Easter, and unfortunately, it was a terrible experience from every perspective. The advance payment requirement was a bad start, which I found unprofessional considering the service we received. The dining room was poorly organized: tables packed tightly together, with very little space to walk around and zero privacy. But the main problem was the treatment of celiacs. We had reported the presence of two celiacs a month in advance, yet despite this, the lunch was handled embarrassingly. Instead of a "puff pastry casket with asparagus cream," we received an unspeakable dish: half a biscuit topped with a pea cream, completely inedible. Among the first courses, there was also a risotto, and we were told that was the only one we had—served in larger quantities, as if that were enough to compensate for the lack of alternatives. After numerous complaints, they brought us a plate of tasteless boiled zucchini and clearly frozen shrimp. After over half an hour, a gluten-free pasta magically appears... completely unseasoned. Without any seasoning whatsoever, not even a simple sauce. Truly inexplicable and unacceptable. The worst thing was the total lack of customer service: despite repeated complaints, no one bothered to come to the table to apologize or try to make amends. One last absurd detail: we were told we couldn't order drinks because they were "reserved for children," when in fact they were clearly included on the menu. A decidedly negative experience, especially for those with specific dietary needs. Terrible organization and a total lack of respect for the customer.

13/04/2026: SHAMEFUL, I repeat SHAMEFUL. We booked well in advance, about a month, for Easter lunch for 6 people (2 with celiac disease). They had guaranteed us a menu suitable for the various intolerances already communicated at the time of booking. We arrived at the location and they made us pay before eating. Since when in the world do you pay before eating?! But oh well, that's the least of it. They seated us and began serving us the menu, which was not consistent with the one on the website and in no way respectful of those with intolerances. We paid for half the menu, and two girls barely got appetizers. Finally, the place card was a piece of paper with a guy's resume, with all his personal and sensitive information. Reportable. Dirty place, and during the middle of the service, a waiter was outside smoking a joint. I wonder how it's possible that there's so little attention from a place like this. The local health authority and finance department should be involved.

25/01/2026: The soy noodles were as dry as cardboard left in the desert: inedible, they tasted more like horse straw than food. The fries had a disturbing taste, like stale sewage with a chemical aftertaste, enough to make you gag. I seriously regret paying for such a meal. A terrible experience: a waste of money and traumatized taste buds.

13/09/2025: A very generous appetizer platter, a platter with an excellent selection of cured meats and cheeses, the prices leave much to be desired, having to pay as much for a Coke as for a glass of Barbera. The service wasn't bad, except for a Coke spilled on the table, wetting my phone, e-cigarette, and dog, too. Many excuses, we'll see the price.

02/09/2025: I STRONGLY DISCOMMEND. I'm giving one star simply because it's the only thing that can be given less. My boyfriend and I sat down to sip a coffee because we were passing through. (Aside from the €3.40 coffee, which I've never seen before, not even at the Grand Hotel in Monte Carlo.) But when I paid, the owner asked me if I had a card or Satispay because he didn't accept electronic payments for amounts under €10. When I went to ask him what the alternative was for those without cash or Satispay, he replied that I could just stay home and not go to the bar. He even threw me the receipt. Unspeakable is an understatement.

02/05/2026: So much for "fast" food... it took 20 minutes from ordering to pickup. And it wasn't even lunch or dinner time. The result? Cold, almost inedible sandwiches.

22/11/2025: A small, informal yet quaint restaurant with simple yet delicious food and very helpful and friendly staff. I recommend making a reservation because there aren't many seats. Prices are fair. You feel right at home in a family atmosphere. A pleasant evening. Upon arrival, a complimentary glass of prosecco was much appreciated. Wood-fired pizza also available for takeout. They were super accommodating because I had a reservation for two on Saturday evening and couldn't make it because I wasn't feeling well. I asked if it was a problem if only my husband was going, and they accepted immediately (on a Saturday evening). I'd say this isn't for everyone.

16/03/2026: During a pleasure trip to Arona, I chose this pizzeria for a pizza, and I chose well! My pizza was simply exquisite! Very well cooked, nicely filled, and delicious! The staff were very kind and welcoming, and the prices were very good. I'll be back.

12/03/2026: Excellent food and a pleasant atmosphere. Impeccable service and a varied menu with diverse options ranging from a tasty pizza to an elaborate seafood dish. A place to be visited and enjoyed every time you pass through Arona. In my opinion, one of the best addresses for good Italian cuisine.

09/02/2026: I contacted the number on the website to book, and after providing my information and confirming the reservation over the phone, I was told I would receive the details (including payment) via WhatsApp. Not only was I never contacted, but I never received a response when I called or emailed. In the end, I had to cancel every activity I had booked for my weekend in the mountains, despite having difficulty finding other accommodations. Disgraceful and unprofessional. Absolutely avoid!

01/02/2026: Truly charming place, a little outside of Bardonecchia. Spacious, clean rooms with a small balcony offering a beautiful view.

26/10/2025: The kebab was made really quickly, even though the place was packed. It's a shame the sandwich was a bit empty; we were eating more piadina than anything else.

It feels like they're doing you a favor when in reality you're bringing them money. They don't like animals, so if your puppy accidentally pees in there, they'll make you pay for it. And what about the rest of the staff? Valentina is fine, but Nathaly is one of the disgraces of this place. A classic busybody who wants to pry into everyone's business by pretending to be a sycophant. The result? I go get cigarettes out of necessity, and that's it. Let's add that I've never seen a receipt... Because that also needs to be said. The NAS (since they make sandwiches where they keep cigarettes) and the Guardia di Finanza (who should teach them how to use receipts and explain that those who pay by card don't have to pay a surcharge) COINCIDLY never come. Could it be that dear Mimmo, as a former Marshal, has a far-sighted eye?

17/03/2026: During my recent visits to Pub L'Operetta, I noticed a few situations that left me perplexed. In particular, I had the impression that the behavior of some of the female staff (a very young brunette) wasn't always in line with the level of professionalism expected in a venue open to the public. I understand that everyone has their own private life, but when working with customers, I believe it's important to maintain an appropriate attitude. Some behaviors observed during service seemed inappropriate and impacted the overall experience. I believe the venue has potential and can offer good service, but greater attention to management and the staff's professionalism would certainly help improve the overall image.
