20/08/2025: Good evening, I stopped by the Crocetta service station on Sunday afternoon, a service station that I often use on my way back from the province of Cuneo. Unfortunately, I have to say that lately the service has been declining, with dirty bathrooms, staff who are not very service-minded and, what's more, the food at the counter, both sweet and savoury, is covered in flies.

18/08/2025: Don't go there, worst experience at a highway rest stop, a super-unfriendly saleswoman whispering a "reheated" sandwich in our face, even though it was cold. Bad manner after an order error, poor organization, touching the cash register and serving sandwiches, poor hygiene. I won't be going back, move on.

10/10/2025: I'm coming with friends... I'd give a lot of stars for the lady and the attentive, kind service, but unfortunately, the quality is a bit off! The pizza is average, but not excellent! I think there should be a law prohibiting the "personal" recipe from adding or modifying ingredients because, unfortunately, there was some leftover tiramisu and it doesn't even remotely reflect the original. I understand wanting to try it, but I'm going to ignore this (always in a good way, these are criticisms, not complaints). The bill is fair, and the prices are reasonable, but of course, you're happy with the food! A small aside: the Coke on tap (we tried it, mentioned that it had a strange taste, and reiterated that it could be the finished keg, which therefore loses some of its "quality"... OK, but a change or even just a can as a replacement would have been appreciated... a friend didn't dare ask, and the lady didn't offer it... too bad). Anyway, she was good and kind in conversation, if only there were more of her like that!! 😊

The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. The highlight? The orange and apple strudel, fragrant on the outside and soft on the inside. The selection of local cheeses is also noteworthy. A true taste journey through the authentic flavors of the area. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for authentic cuisine, made with quality ingredients and with a passion evident in every dish. We will definitely be back! 30/07/2025: A Disappointing Experience Not to Be Repeated My recent visit to Sol Levante Japanese Restaurant was a profound disappointment, far from what a Japanese restaurant should offer. Unfortunately, the experience was fraught with a series of issues that made the meal unpleasant and made me want to never return. The first negative aspect that struck me was the interminable wait. Although the restaurant wasn't overly crowded, we had to wait an inordinate amount of time for our dishes. This unjustified delay contributed to a growing sense of frustration and ruined the evening's mood. But the real sore point was the quality of the food, which fell far short of acceptable standards. The raw fish, a cornerstone of Japanese cuisine, didn't appear fresh. The sashimi was tasteless and had a rubbery texture, suggesting it hadn't been freshly prepared or had been stored improperly. The sushi and nigiri rice was also overcooked and sticky, lacking the expected texture and flavor. The tempura was greasy and heavy, not as crispy and light as they should be, and the flavors overall were flat and undistinguished. The service left much to be desired. The staff was distracted and inattentive to our requests. We had to repeatedly call for attention to order drinks or ask for clarification on the dishes. The lack of friendliness and professionalism contributed to an overall unwelcoming and rushed atmosphere. Finally, the value for money was decidedly unfavorable. Considering the low quality of the dishes and the poor service, the final bill seemed excessively high, in no way justifying the experience. In conclusion, Il Sol Levante proved to be a restaurant to avoid for those seeking an authentic and enjoyable Japanese culinary experience. The excessive wait, the poor quality of the food, and the inadequate service made my visit extremely unsatisfactory. I hope this review can help steer those looking for a good Japanese restaurant elsewhere.

19/11/2025: The food is really good, really. But there's one big problem that ruins the experience: why don't you have free Wi-Fi? There's almost no signal inside: you can't make calls, you can't check anything on your phone. It's the 21st century, and a place without a connection these days is truly a major drawback. I really hope you'll consider it, because it would be a major improvement for all your customers.

14/11/2025: Never again! Dirty inside, windows to be cleaned, arrogant staff and I didn't like the man's behavior! Very unfriendly and I didn't like the atmosphere in the bar! Never again... exorbitant prices €2.50 for a roll! In Milan for €2.50 you can eat terrible pastries 🥐
