24/03/2025: Con l’amico Luca siamo stati ospiti nella Hostaria Orcobacco di Borgomanero giovedì sera. La scelta è stata fatta in base a commenti positivi che abbiamo raccolto da amici e che ci hanno invitato a provarlo. Il locale all’esterno è anonimo ma entrando si percepisce un’atmosfera piacevole, l’ambiente carino, i tavoli ben disposti e temperatura gradevole, dato che c’è una bella stufa in ceramica. Il menù è esposto su una lavagna a tutta parete, si compone di 3 antipasti, 3 primi, 3 secondi e 3 dolci. Discorda da quello inserito sul sito dove vi sono 4 secondi. La nostra scelta è ricaduta su: Flan di topinambur con fonduta di toma Maccagno, il flan aveva un gusto appena appena accennato, la fonduta ha dato un po’ di tono. Crema di vongole veraci con pane croccante alle erbe e crumble di guanciale, al mio amico piacciono i toni decisi per cui lo ha apprezzato. Agnolotti ripieni di gorgonzola riserva con pere decana e burro alla maggiorana, la pasta piuttosto spessa (va a gusti) il gorgonzola riserva sovrastava il piatto. Petto d'anatra con purè di pastinaca, salsa al whisky e amarene, purtroppo ho dovuto far togliere le amarene per una mia problematica ed il piatto è stato inevitabilmente trasformato. La carne era cotta, il purè era ben eseguito, il tutto di mio gradimento. Tiramisù classico, purtroppo non ci siamo proprio… i savoiardi erano asciutti e con troppo mascarpone. Una vera delusione. Servizio cortese e molto presente. Il conto ammonta a 104 euro, con due calici di franciacorta, i prezzi del menu sono tutti esposti sul sito. È un locale da provare.

20/03/2025: Professionalism is now optional! Friendly staff as always.. as a regular customer!!! I ordered some zeppole to celebrate with my family. I'll go pick them up, we eat them and what's inside? EGNOG CREAM!!!! Are we kidding?! Without having told me anything about this variant I bought them for children. Obviously no one ate them as the alcohol was evident and I had to throw them all away. Waste of money! I think you have to say if you make something different from the original recipe and not pass them off as normal zeppole. I'm not the only one who's had this happen to me, but other friends have also found the surprise. So from here it is clear that they did not inform anyone of this variant. NEVER AGAIN.

07/02/2025: I went to dinner inspired by the good reviews, but never again or people don't understand anything about food or the reviews are fake, linguine with clams pasta with a liter of oil very strong southern oil that not everyone likes pasta without salt and I'm not one to eat very salty, I don't eat them I send them back the waitress instead of worrying she snorts I avoid discussion and I order a meuniare sole full of burnt butter final touch on top of the butter capers vinegar. I ask for the bill 120 euros 2 people 60 euros each I won't add anything else but better

11/04/2025: The two of us paid 200 euros for a plate of antipasto, a delicious asparagus risotto, this dish was indeed excellent, and a bottle of house white wine. The bottle of wine was already open, as was the bottle of water already half consumed!!! No dessert, just coffee. In a setting from another era. Our big mistake, not asking the price in advance…. Since no price is indicated. There is no menu either…. The price is definitely in the customer's mind. For us exorbitant!!! We are always smarter afterwards... we will never go back.

08/03/2025: Oggy March 8th, a shame three first courses three desserts a coke two coffees 180 euros nothing special without menu you don't know the prices until you go to pay, in the end big surprise to send them the finance 👎🏾

28/04/2025: Excellent experience in this Chinese restaurant. We only ate a la carte and ordered Chinese cuisine and it was all good. We will try the sushi and I hope I don't change my mind.

I enter HELLO, no response, the bartender (owner perhaps) too busy scrolling through the home page of some social network, after a while he notices my presence and in a very pissed off mood asks me for the order (a hot litter) time to finish the sentence I go to sit down and I am told "we close at 5pm" so a good 40 minutes after my arrival... I reply saying that it wouldn't take me long and the bartender replies by saying "I'm telling you because I don't want any problems" BUT EXACTLY WHAT PROBLEMS? The only existing problem is that people leave at 5pm but with pleasure and never come back. Obviously Ciobar hot chocolate so nothing sensational.. Scandalous!!

20/05/2025: Clean place with plenty of seating but at certain times it is packed. Unfortunately the guys are quick in taking orders and despite everything they are also kind, but the queues do not help.

19/05/2025: Yesterday for lunch, my husband and I ate at this place. Everything was very good and tasty. The place is in mountain style, just how I like it: simple and rustic. The staff is simple and a bit rustic. But I like it. We will return.
