23/02/2026: Let's just say this place's strong point isn't quite what it should be. Let's start with the bill, because perhaps going backwards gives a better idea: a fixed menu for 11 euros, plus 3 euros each for an appetizer and 6 euros each for dessert. Total: 40 euros for two. The place is what it is: "fun" decor, lights only in the corners of the room (I imagine the central tables are lit by candlelight in the evening), paintings that clash with each other... in short, a truly chic ensemble. We arrive at 1:00 PM: two adults and a child in a high chair, but they have to move him around the room because—according to them—"he was dangerous." I still haven't figured out whether the problem was the high chair or the child. The room is full. We order an appetizer: three slices of cold cuts and three of cheese, which arrive after about 25 minutes. Fine, we're in no rush. After 50 minutes, a very kind waitress arrives to inform us that the sausage and radicchio rice is sold out. We can opt for pasta with the same sauce. Question: does it take you 50 minutes to find out you're out of rice? And above all: how come the two tables next to us are already having dessert while I'm still arguing over the first course? The funniest part comes with the pasta dish: overcooked, it tasted like the neighbors' pasta with sauce, rinsed quickly and topped with sausage and radicchio. Inedible even for us, who are used to much worse. The tripe and beans, on the other hand, were good, no complaints. The stew was a bit dry, but it was edible. I didn't even try the vegetables: I'd lost my imagination. And now we come to the famous €6 dessert. In our "lunch of without..." my crème caramel arrives—good, really—and my son's tiramisu... without ladyfingers. Maybe the ones at the neighbors' table had run out too. Moral of the story? My son and I had a blast: the longest and most unsuccessful lunch ever, but at least we laughed about every mishap. The staff is friendly, no complaints there. But after an interminable wait, a change of dish after 50 minutes, and everything else, I would have expected at least a discount, a complimentary liqueur (which I wouldn't have drunk, but the gesture counts), or at least an apology. I don't think they have Satispay, but don't worry: high chairs are available. It's your call, as always.

02/03/2026: This pastry shop has been in the area for about 50 years. I've lived about 150 meters from it since 1993, and...what can I say?...In the past, they've offered excellent quality products at prices not typical of Mirafiori Sud, but rather those typical of central Turin. Whatever the case, when you want to indulge in a sweet treat...in recent years, the pastry shop has expanded and, in addition to producing ice cream during the season, also offers a bar service with, of course, products such as croissants, etc., typical breakfast items. Lately, however, I must point out that, having gone there in this month of February 2026, one morning, to buy 2 trays of carnival bugie, I was served by a brunette girl at the counter, evidently with little desire to satisfy the customer and who filled one of the two trays with scraps of leftover bugie, practically little pieces of about 3, 4 cm, even in the presence of another untouched container of theirs with product made with suitable sizes... at my complaint, the same one got offended and answering me annoyed started to take from the tray with the fresh product and not from the one with the "crumbs"... all of which, then charged 42 euros per kilo, if I remember correctly... then in the area there are other pastry shops (such as in via Onore Vigliani and Corso Traiano) which in terms of quality/price ratio are excellent and above all they do not have staff at the counter that gives you little desire to work, I'm sorry because many times I have bought from them making a great impression on the people who have shared their product, but in the Lately, they've fallen short. I hope Mr. Giovanni reads my message and does everything he can to maintain the overall quality of the past, both locally and through top-notch staff. For now, I'll look elsewhere.

28/02/2026: We had a terrible experience here, not so much for the quality of the desserts, which is average, but for the arrogance and rudeness of the staff. Barely two meters of counter space between the register and the coffee machine, the cashier rudely asks to get a receipt before ordering... I reply that I'm not a thief, that in fact my wife is in line at the register and that maybe while I'm drinking my coffee I'll look at the window and feel like getting a cannoli or a cream puff... nothing, the clerk haughtily reiterates that you have to get a receipt first. I understand that the area is terrible, Mirafiori Sud, a depressed former Fiat area, but we're not all thieves who run away with a croissant in our mouths... look up and see who you're dealing with before you do those things in front of everyone... I found it infinitely mean and vulgar. I don't recommend it. Turin is full of pastry shops with qualified staff and an environment suited to welcoming honest and respectable customers.

24/12/2025: Wonderful Indian restaurant in Novara. Excellent food and truly affordable prices. Delicious tasting menus (vegetarian, meat, or fish). Friendly and attentive service. Highly recommended.

23/12/2025: A place I found by chance, seemingly lost in the woods around Acqui Terme. A pleasant surprise. Very welcoming and with a typically Piedmontese menu. The truffle takes pride of place. Personally, I can't resist their bollito misto: magnificent! The sauce is always excellent. The menu is truly varied. Traveling between Piedmont and Liguria, it's always a favorite lunch spot. #1 on my list of culinary destinations.
