13/04/2025: I write this review with regret, because I have very positive memories of this restaurant, visited about eight years ago, always in January. At the time I was struck by the welcoming atmosphere, with the fireplace lit, grilled meat and typical dishes of the area, many of which were based on truffles. Returning this year, I unfortunately found a general decline in attention and care, both in the environment and in the gastronomic offer. The fireplace was turned off, and the meat was prepared exclusively on the griddle — which, in my opinion, does not offer the same experience. The menu offered first courses such as carbonara and amatriciana, good but common, easily available elsewhere. What I missed was precisely the identity of the territory: no proposals linked to truffles, which years ago were instead the protagonist of the menu. Furthermore, the service showed some rigidity right from the start, with the waiter placing limits on our choice of dishes ("this one yes, this one no"), generating a sense of disorientation. In cases like these, it would be useful to set up an external blackboard or an updated menu that informs customers about real availability, allowing an informed choice right at the entrance. The selection was limited and, personally, I did not find enough stimulation in the menu to fully enjoy the meal. I chose the bare minimum out of courtesy, but then concluded lunch elsewhere, where I was able to enjoy tastings of truffles and fresh local cured meats. I'm sorry to have to express a negative opinion, but I hope that this review will be accepted as a constructive contribution. The place has great potential, also due to its beauty and tourist location, and I sincerely hope to be able to return there one day and rediscover the quality and authenticity that I had appreciated in the past. I write with affection and with the hope of a future relaunch.

15/06/2025: Last night I had an ice cream. Very good. I walk and after a while I fall. So I go back to the ice cream shop and ask for another one. The man behind the counter asks me why I was there again asking for the same ice cream and I told him that I had fallen. He remade the ice cream for me without making me pay even though I insisted on paying for it since it was my fault. I was really impressed by the kindness. And by the goodness of the ice cream. If I ever return to Turin I will definitely go back. Congratulations, a truly appreciated gesture. I highly recommend it.

17/03/2025: Domenica h18:00, aperitivo in due. Ci fanno accomodare, un tizio dietro dagli affettati fuma con aria annoiata la sigaretta elettronica, manco saluta. Quando ci considerano, ordiniamo 1 tagliere, e 2 calici di vino. I bicchieri sono sporchi, tutti e due. La cameriera viene dopo un po, due volte a vedere se può portare via le cose dal tavolo con tagliere non finito e vini nel bicchiere. Non c'era gente in coda fuori x sedersi! Alla cassa facciamo notare la questione dei bicchieri e ci dicono che dovevamo dirlo. A me hanno insegnato che prima di servire una bevanda occorre controllare il bicchiere che sia ok, sia per non fare brutta figura che per non sprecare il vino. Totale disattenzione a tutto. Un locale pessimo, ma molto trendy e alla moda per chi questi dettagli non li guarda.

10/07/2025: We visited at the end of April. Really unwelcoming, sarcastic, unfriendly, unhelpful unprofessional male staff, especially the older gentleman. I was quite shocked at his grumpy and dismissive attitude. All the female servers were friendly and welcoming though. Food was nice and the view was beautiful. More choice needed for coeliacs please such as gluten free pasta.

21/03/2025: Great bar to have a coffee. As for the "restaurant": I can't comment on the fixed lunch menu (€13) because I didn't choose it. I took the mixed fried seafood that was recommended to me (€15), but I didn't like it. Prawns (2) overcooked and tasteless, squid and anchovies just decent. Plus it stayed on my stomach (and I digest stones too). Very poor service, terrible house wine. Ah, I forgot: verbal account and no receipt.

27/06/2025: At the beginning of the glimpse of via borgo Dora, genuine flavors and mastery in composing the dishes satisfy palates of all types, from home cooking to the slightly more refined dish. The service is attentive and scrupulous in an informal, almost familiar context. I highly recommend it as a pleasant, enjoyable cuddle...

24/05/2025: 15 years ago I used to come here and the owner was the mother. The food was divine. Years ago the daughter took over the restaurant and the food is just as good if not better than 15 years ago. It's the only restaurant I've eaten at for years when I return to Turin and to Balon and it's like coming home

01/04/2025: Visited for the first time, I liked the welcome and the food but above all the simple environment; many Japanese restaurants exaggerate with sumptuous furnishings, inflating the price of the menu and cover charge. Dogs allowed and great price. I'll be back.

27/02/2025: Piadine discrete, buon impasto ma poca farcitura. Già il menù è più caro rispetto alla media ma c'è anche un ulteriore sovrapprezzo per un servizio al tavolo molto scarso: si paga il coperto ma non viene portata né una tovaglietta di carta né un cestino di pane (uno dei colleghi al posto della piadina ha mangiato una zuppa calda). Non ci torneremo.

I recommend 😜3/5/25 I have ordered the pizzas several times, I confirm Efficiency and goodness of the pizzas!😉

15/05/2025: Ho ordinato una porzione di cuoppo al costo di 6€, pure aumentato rispetto a qualche anno fa. ( cosa corretta dato che dopo il covid è aumentato TUTTO) ma non posso salire in macchina e non avere neanche mezza porzione. Non ho parole. Almeno aumentate di costo ma lasciate una porzione intera.
