02/07/2025: I was there for the feast of St. John, on June 24th. There were 6 of us, some of us had pizza and some like me had a second course. The pizzas they brought were thin and dry, inedible, in fact some of our guests had more than half left over, the second course I had, a Fassona hamburger with French fries, well the meat was anything but Fassona, and the French fries were overcooked to the point of being hard. The service was slow and there were few people serving. It is definitely a place I will not return to.

31/08/2025: I went to this bar on Friday morning and had breakfast with a croissant and a coffee. If I had to make a short list: - The place isn't too big and is a bit vintage. It could use a few minor changes, like brightening it up a bit, but overall it's fine. - Regular service: Since there were a few people ahead of me, both at the counter and at tables, they served me within 5 minutes. - Coffee: It was hot, and they made me a Lavazza, which is one of my favorites. - Croissaint: I had the chocolate one, and it was good and fresh. - Bathroom: I used the bathroom and found it clean. - Prices: Average - Staff: Friendly - Pastries: I'm not a big fan of sweets, but if you like them, you'll find something you'll like. Positive experience, I recommend!

20/07/2025: It took me 30 minutes to order, I asked what was left, made my choice, then waited another 10 minutes until they told me they'd run out of the items I'd ordered. We left, which was a shame because I saw some beautiful, and I imagine delicious, croissants passing by.

03/09/2025: The cashier is a bit grumpy, so I recommend an intravenous dose of chamomile tea. "Look, it's written in Italian," which is why the place is empty, with people like you! 🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️ I'd rather go somewhere else, rude.

31/08/2025: A bit similar to another restaurant chain, but better in terms of the menu because it offers everyone a choice, including options other than the classic hamburger or meat sandwich. The pasta was very good, just a little too al dente, and the sandwich was also good quality. Friendly staff and quick service.

01/09/2025: Located on the main road just a few meters from the Royal Palace of Venaria Reale in Turin, excellent food and friendly, helpful staff.

18/08/2025: Friendliness and a careful consideration for those like me who are gluten and casein intolerant made our dinner at the Locanda a special one, thanks also to the excellent food, from the pasta to the meat... including the side dish. We'll be back soon. Highly recommended, even for those who have trouble finding gluten-free pasta. Congratulations

13/08/2025: Five stars for the authentic, home-cooked food made with simple ingredients, crafted with experience and a lot of love, courtesy of Emilia, the tireless owner of this historic restaurant in the heart of Balon. The service is sometimes a little naive, but that's part of the local folklore and the genuineness of the staff. The ambiance is simple, and otherwise it would lose its character. You can have lunch here at a more than reasonable price, with fresh ingredients and guaranteed flavor. A special stop for an unusual aperitif with (outstanding) fried meatballs, arrosticini, and fresh chips! And I emphasize fresh, peeled and fried on the spot. Highly recommended! ❤️

03/05/2025: Ci siamo fermati per un pranzo veloce, abbiamo ordinato 3 porzioni di lasagne e una crepes al prosciutto e formaggio. Il cibo e’ stato riscaldato (poco) e si capiva perfettamente che non era fresco…qualità pessima.

04/05/2025: Il primo posto diventa ci siamo fermati appena arrivati nelle langje, ancora prima di andare nella struttura ricettiva. Ragazze molto simpatiche , purtroppo non so il nome della ragazza che ci ha servito al tavolo, ma è stata molto disponibile a rispondere a tutte le domande che le abbiamo fatto, essendo la prima volta nelle langhe. 03/05/2025: mi dispiace dissociarmi dalle recensioni positive degli altri utenti, ma la mia esperienza non è stata così favorevole. Mi sono fermato per un pranzo veloce nel mio giro nelle Langhe in questo ristorante. La location è bella su un terrazzo all'ingresso del paese ed il servizio è anche attento. Il punto dolente è nella qualità del piatto che ho scelto tagliatelle al ragù di fassona che sinceramente ho trovato al livello di quelle servite in una mensa. Anche il primo scelto da mia moglie non è stato di gran livello. Per due primi, due calici di vino e due bottigliette d'acqua abbiamo pagato 54 euro, un prezzo non eccessivo se la qualità fosse stata buona. Probabilmente una giornata storta che ci può anche stare.

11/08/2025: Despite booking well in advance and arriving promptly, the table wasn't ready. Two tables had to be pushed together in front of the door in January, and the tablecloth appeared untouched after being used by other customers. Orders were taken quickly, but the dishes served didn't match those requested or were not as described on the menu. While eating an unordered dish, I found a foreign object resembling a hair; when I reported it, the kitchen provided an implausible explanation. The waiters were attentive and friendly, but the management by the head waiter seemed inadequate.

16/09/2025: Only ate one dish: polenta with porcini mushrooms and sausage.. Two tiny pieces of sausage🙄🙄.. Polenta in the mountains should be better and without lumps.

02/09/2025: The restaurant is located in the town center. Quick service, friendly staff, and delicious traditional dishes. Good value.
