15/11/2025: Valentine's Day dinner 2025: a fairly varied set menu. We went to this restaurant because it's supposed to be a well-known name in the city. We entered and only after a while were we called to sit at the counter (quite uncomfortable for such a high-priced dinner). We were crammed in among bottles of wine and various decorations, even though there were still a few tables free (and they remained that way throughout the evening). After choosing the wine (the chef arrogantly wanted to choose for us even though we explicitly told him what we wanted), a plate of breadsticks, crackers, and bread arrived, not at all crispy and lacking in flavor. The dinner continued with quality dishes. At one point, the chef scolded one of the waiters (who had always been extremely kind and provided impeccable service) in front of the entire dining room. The icing on the cake was dessert and coffee at the end of the dinner. Only at a few tables did the chef serve strawberries with chocolate, leaving a few guests without them. Since it was a set menu, it should have been included with all courses. The food was good, though, it was a shame about the setting, which completely failed to live up to expectations and the bill.

13/01/2026: I went to this place for lunch today. I had cotechino with mashed potatoes and fried squid (the waiter sold them to me as calamari). I ate the cotechino, but it wasn't great, while I sent the fried food back because it was absolutely disgusting; the breading was falling off, and the artichokes were burnt. The icing on the cake was the pear and chocolate tart, which had a raw crust, and it was reheated in the microwave, so it was plasticky and not as flaky as it should be! I highly recommend this place; I'll never come back!

06/01/2026: I returned after a long time for dinner, an intimate and beautiful place, while not all the dishes were to my liking, it's still a good place.

18/08/2025: Good morning, today, my mom and I visited this restaurant for the second time in Serralunga d'Alba. The first time was for a quick coffee, but today, after visiting the castle, I really wanted to go. It's hard not to eat well in Piedmont, but today I was proved right with other dishes I tried at this restaurant. Before entering the streets leading to the castle, we found this restaurant. I immediately loved the hospitality and the simplicity of the dishes—in this case, the traditional approach—with which they prepared everything. We started with an exceptional and beautifully presented Fassona beef appetizer, followed by rabbit as a main course, served with potatoes and steamed vegetables. Finally, we finished with an exceptional hazelnut cake served with vanilla ice cream, all accompanied, of course, by a delicious 2021 Barbaresco. A top-notch lunch at a good price considering the general price increases, but above all, I want to emphasize the friendliness, professionalism, and helpfulness—things that can't be taken for granted these days. We have a small dog, and they kindly brought us water on a very hot day. At the back of the restaurant, we have a beautiful terrace overlooking the Langhe. I highly recommend this place and hope it stays open, since from what I understand, it will be closed due to internal issues. I hope they resolve the situation and that this restaurant, which for me is a symbol of tradition and good Piedmontese cuisine in Serralunga d'Alba, remains open. 10/08/2025: We had a wonderful meal, including delicious homemade pasta. A lovely glass of wine accompanied by a beautiful view of Piedmont.

24/09/2025: We were on a Sunday motorcycle trip and decided to grab a bite to eat at this cute place. We ordered ravioli del plin with butter and sage. The dish was very poor and practically unseasoned, the worst I've ever eaten! The grilled vegetables were good, and the wine was good! We spent a lot for what we ate! My friend went to the restroom, and when she started, the restroom was dirty, with no toilet paper or soap.

22/02/2026: A little corner of paradise, just like grandma's house. The uphill road isn't the easiest; the rooms are simple but have everything you need. The atmosphere is homey and friendly. The food is good, whatever there is. There's no set menu. Everything is homemade by the owner: bread, pasta, vegetables from the garden. The breakfast is superb! A place not for everyone, but one that if you appreciate it, you'll treasure forever!

24/12/2025: I'll start by saying I was a guest, but the Piedmontese food was excellent, with an exceptional platter, peppers with anchovy sauce, excellent minced meat, delicious green tongue, mini arancini, and then polenta with cod, delicious. I'll be back to try the pizza too.

02/11/2025: Quiet place, very friendly staff. Excellent charcuterie platter and fried gnocco, and the pan pizza is a must-try! Good value for money.

17/01/2026: I bought two kebabs to take away, the products were bland and flavorless, and the piadina was overcooked.

06/11/2025: I'll start by saying I didn't try the kebab. I got some arancini, which were rotten—you can't imagine, they tasted absolutely rotten. The rest of the food (pizza slices and hot dogs) was old, edible, but everything was really awful.
