The waiter prepared a breakfast to our liking and, along with the lady, treated us wonderfully. We are foreigners and have different breakfast preferences, and he was super patient and attentive even though we had different languages ​​and customs. Absolutely recommended! 22/07/2025: We've been loyal guests of Il Nocciolo for years: this is our fifth time here, and as always, we were enchanted. The property is wonderful, nestled among the vineyards, with a dream pool and an atmosphere that inspires absolute peace and relaxation. We also chose this place to celebrate my birthday, for the second time, because for us it represents something more than just a vacation: it's a place close to our hearts. The staff has always been one of its strong points: kind, attentive, welcoming, and capable of making you feel truly at home. For this very reason, we've enthusiastically recommended it to friends and family. However, during this last stay, we experienced an incident that left us truly disconcerted and which we feel compelled to report, hoping it will be addressed for the good of the place. For the first time, we encountered a waitress we'd never met before. We believe her name is Valentina because her colleagues have always called her by that name. She completely clashed with the warm, family atmosphere that has always welcomed us. From the very beginning, she appeared aloof, cold, and visibly annoyed, as if every interaction with customers was a burden. But what struck us even more was the very strong and unpleasant body odor that, unfortunately, was noticeable every time she passed by our table. A truly embarrassing situation, which my partner also noticed immediately. In all our years, nothing like this had ever happened to us: never such an attitude, never such discomfort related to the personal care of a staff member. We have always found the standards to be extremely high, both on a human and professional level, and we regret having to admit that this time that balance has been disrupted. We don't want this message to be taken as a criticism in and of itself, but as a sincere report from someone who deeply cares about this establishment and wants it to continue to be perfect in every way. The level of service has always been impeccable, and the addition of someone who, at least on this occasion, conveyed the opposite, has negatively affected us. Il Nocciolo remains a special place for us, one to which we will continue to return. But we hope that you pay attention to certain details, because they are precisely those that make the difference, especially when you are used to such high excellence.

10/06/2025: If you want to experience truly traditional Piedmontese cuisine, this is the place to be. Don’t waste your money on overpriced, low-quality meals in touristy areas. I’m a Korean who has traveled extensively across Europe for business, and I can confidently say—this restaurant offers an authentic taste of Northern Italy. From the local dishes to the regional wines, everything here is genuine, flavorful, and fairly priced. Highly recommended.

01/06/2025: I spent €18 for a small cold pepper tart 😖 and a water. The raw material is certainly good but the prices are too high and there is little choice on the menu.

18/07/2025: After a terrible start to our holiday in France, we drove on to Italy. We were looking for an Italian restaurant nearby. AMAZING! English was a bit of a struggle. They could certainly make more money on drinks. Luckily, we're staying near this gem for 10 days. Go there. We're having breakfast here tomorrow. And definitely have a few more pizzas!

09/07/2025: Probably the best pizza in Liguria. Very friendly service and absolutely fair prices. The location on the central market square is also absolutely fantastic. Highly recommended.

21/07/2025: In visita ai borghi della val Susa , pranziamo a Cesana Torinese alla Ginestra, in riva al torrente Ripa. Bella location, personale molto cordiale, servizio e cibo ottimo!

13/08/2025: Update July 2025: I returned after years. The quality of the products and the service have significantly declined. Some products are decent, others decidedly disappointing. Excellent artisanal bakery with fresh products daily.

22/07/2025: They have whole wheat sourdough bread, also gluten-free upon request. You can order the bread, and the pizzas are very soft.

21/06/2025: This hotel is very much into cost cutting and skimping. No anti-slip mat in shower, one very uncomfortable pillow per bed, no tea making facilities in room. Probably best to bring your own facilities and also some toilet paper, as bathroom furnished to a very bare level. Advertised a coffee/drinks bar on ground floor but in reality, this was mainly unstaffed so not in order. When we asked one time, they said they'd no draught beer, another time, they were closed by 10:30! Gym not up to much either, like coffee/drinks bar, just bare minimum, not up to functioning but ticks the box for their ads. Air con in room really poor and doesnt fall below 22. Breakfast worst I've seen. Very narrow selection, mainly UPF and cardboard or stale, only one type of very thin white UPF bread at toaster. No fresh salads. After day 2, I settled for some stale All Bran, then got decent food in a local cafe - could really taste how fresh the croissants in cafe were after eating the food in this hotel. Roof top restaurant did very nice food when open. Location very covenient. This hotel has excellent potential but for now, it's clearly all about the profits. Service is not on the agenda in this hotel. Hotel Scrooge!
