03/07/2025: Pizzeria very close to Porta Nuova, Neapolitan restaurant. Varied menu both pizzas and first courses. Average prices for pizzas but slightly high for the rest of the menu. Excellent quality, slightly slow service but you can tell that everything is cooked on the spot. Recommended! A little final treat, they gave us some sweets at the end of the meal. We will definitely be back

19/08/2025: When I made my reservation (as a former restaurateur, I don't go to a restaurant without booking in advance), I was a little hesitant when asked if I wanted to have lunch during the first or second sitting. I immediately pictured a somewhat chaotic place. We arrived and found parking in the designated area, which wasn't very large, I must say, but that's not their fault; it's already a good thing. They didn't give us much time to choose our dishes, since we were in the first sitting, but we arrived on time, so they seemed to be a bit thoughtful. For starters, we had a charcuterie board and a cheese wheel, both good and plentiful. The polenta vigezzina was superb, I must say; we left it aside because it was so plentiful. It could have been a main course, as far as our stomachs were concerned. The wine by the glass was decent, but we didn't have room for dessert. The price wasn't the cheapest, but it was quite reasonable. It's not a place where you can enjoy a good lunch in peace, given the crowd that was there, but the dishes were still good.

13/08/2025: Osteria del Mercante is a must-try in Santa Maria Maggiore. The food is exceptional, the staff is always very friendly and attentive, and the signature dish is tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms. Excellent value for money. Recommended!

This restaurant is clearly a cornerstone of of the community, fosteting a sense of belonging and camaraderie among its visitors. It is clear that this restaurant is a favorite spot for locals and people to gather and enjoy good food together. Tourists are also very welcome to enjoy the classic Piedmontese cuisine. The food was impressive, with generous portions. In summary, this restaurant is a true gem. The combination of a welcoming atmosphere, attentive staff, delicious wine, and hearty portions makes it a must-visit. 22/06/2025: We arrived at the Locanda after a day of sports, quite pessimistic about whether they would be able to feed us since it was 5:45 pm, a time that is neither dinner nor lunch. Instead, to our great surprise, the restaurant does not close between lunch and dinner (at least in the summer, I don't know about other seasons) and is very willing to accommodate its guests! We agreed on a pretty good cutting board, they were kind because they offered us two sizes (and relative prices) of cutting board depending on how hungry we were, I found it very intelligent that they made the price explicit because at least that way there are no misunderstandings. We had a good time and we noticed that they were already setting the table for dinner and had several reservations, which confirms to me that the food is good. The outdoor area consists of wooden and metal benches and tables plus some plastic tables and chairs, there are also gazebos to offer shade to some tables so one can choose. In summary: recommended!

22/06/2025: I didn't use the rooms but the service was very efficient. I ate veal with tuna sauce and the meat was really tender and the sauce balanced: it is a theoretically easy dish but for this very reason it shows the attention to detail. The location is quiet, enhanced by the swimming pool with poolside cocktails for aperitifs and digestives....even if some ingredient is missing it is a bit of a flaw. Convenient and free parking. In general I ate well, the meat dishes, raw or cooked were the right mix of flavors, excellent flan with potatoes, Castelmagno and mushrooms
