06/05/2026: What a lovely discovery this restaurant was, tucked away from the bustling streets of Naples! Intimate atmosphere, only about ten tables, excellent service, and above all, delicious food! We tried the octopus salad, the pasta alla nerone, the pasta alle vongole, and the seafood pasta, and everything was superb. Thank you to the front-of-house and kitchen staff!

05/05/2026: When you walk through the doors of Osteria da Carmela, you're immediately struck by the joyful, Neapolitan commotion. This place has that rare, authentic soul that can't be faked. It's not just a restaurant; it's a love letter to Campania. Let me tell you about what happened at our table. Act One: Seafood and Tradition We started with Impepata di Cozze. Simplicity at its purest. Mussels, black pepper, a hint of lemon. When they lift the lid, the steam hits you in the face with the scent of the Tyrrhenian Sea. There's something primal and utterly brilliant about it. You need nothing more than a piece of bread to mop up the aromatic broth from the bottom of the bowl. Then came the pastas. The gnocchi alla Sorrentina were... well, they were like little, fluffy clouds bathed in sunlight. That tomato sauce? Sweet, deep, with a chewy mozzarella that makes you forget the world for a moment. And the Linguine allo Scoglio? It was a feast. Every bite of pasta was infused with the essence of seafood. It tastes as if the chef had simply gone to the port in the morning and asked the sea, "What do you have for us today?" Main Course and Sweet Finale For the second course – Calamaro alla Brace. Grilled squid. Sounds simple, right? But the devil is in the details. Delicate, with that perfect hint of grilled smoke that highlights, rather than overpowers, the natural sweetness of the mollusk. 13/05/2026: Our pasta-making experience at La Gavitella was nothing short of magical and became one of the absolute highlights of our Amalfi girls’ trip celebrating special birthdays. From the moment we arrived, everything was perfectly thought out. We were welcomed with delicious coffee and croissants overlooking the most breathtaking views imaginable. It is one of the most stunning settings we experienced in the Amalfi Coast. The atmosphere throughout was incredible: free-flowing Prosecco, music, laughter, dancing with friends, and such warm, genuine hospitality from the entire team. The pasta-making itself was so much fun, authentic, interactive, and beautifully organised. It felt far more than just a cooking class; it was a full experience and memory we’ll treasure forever. The attention to detail was exceptional, from the photos taken throughout the day to the certificates, aprons, recipe books, and gift bags we were given to take home. What truly made the experience extra special was the kindness of the owner, who even took us back by boat to Praiano marina afterwards, saving us the long climb back up the hill which was such a thoughtful touch that perfectly sums up the level of care and hospitality shown. And as if the day couldn’t get any more surreal, when we arrived back at the marina we bumped into Matthew McConaughey, who is currently filming the new Netflix movie Positano! It honestly felt like something out of a film itself. We genuinely cannot recommend this experience enough. Incredible value for money, unforgettable views, amazing people, fantastic food and drinks, and memories we’ll all talk about for years. If you’re visiting Praiano or the Amalfi Coast, this is an absolute must-do.

02/06/2026: We loved our room overlooking the water so waking up every morning was beautiful looking out the windows. The breakfast buffet each morning was delicious and plentiful. I loved sitting by the pool and actively keeping the pigeons away with the mini squirt guns. What we were so impressed about was how well your hotel put on a wedding for 100+. It was so romantic and executed so quickly. The food was delicious and the staff was so attentive. Thank you all so very much! Bravo!!!

13/05/2026: For a family member's surgery, we found ourselves coming to this little corner of paradise near the Fatebenefratelli Hospital. Aside from the friendly service and the welcoming location, like a blast from the past, the cuisine is spectacular. We had the parmigiana split in two and two first courses: pasta and chickpeas and pasta with Benevento ragu. Compliments to the dining room and kitchen, but especially to Antonella and her family. True dining still exists. Thank you very much.

09/05/2026: My girlfriend and I were looking for a quick place to eat typical Neapolitan food on Saturday night. We had a mixed appetizer, deviled eggs, half a glass of wine, water, a portion of meatballs, and pasta with potatoes and provola. Everything was very good, except for the pasta, which had melted Parmesan crusts. The flavor was a bit acidic and heavy overall (it's not the first time we've eaten it, in fact). When the waiter pointed out that we didn't like the dish, we were told, "Oh well, it's an occupational hazard." We didn't like the treatment. At the very least, I would have asked if we wanted anything else or what was wrong, or I wouldn't have charged for the dish (we returned it full). In short, we were treated superficially. Everything else was very good, especially the meatballs. The ambiance could be improved in terms of organization.
