Superlative food, family atmosphere, incredibly informative but never invasive host, promoted with flying colors

A very rustic and quaint experience at the Locanda. The owner, a theater actor, makes you feel at home, explaining the dishes so that you can relate to them as you eat them. Excellent, traditional Benevento cuisine; I'll remember the Lardiata for at least five days! The menu, which changes regularly to reflect seasonality and local traditions, is highly recommended. It's worth a stop if you're passing through Benevento! See you soon!

Passing through Benevento, we had lunch at this pleasant inn. The owner cheerfully conveys his love for his work. Prices are average.

Delicious traditional Sannio cuisine. Warm and hospitable owners. We have dined at this restaurant multiple times and the food has always been delicious.

An experience from another era, extraordinary dishes, excellent host

A very quaint and traditional little place, located on the ground floor along a street with a small door with flowered curtains, almost as if you were entering someone's kitchen. Very special, I repeat. Once inside, the atmosphere is rustic, mostly wood, very welcoming, and delicious. The waiter/maître d'/guide/owner of the trattoria who served us was very courteous and explained the entire menu to us like a storyteller, from the ingredients to the preparation of the dishes. It was truly a pleasure to listen to him. Authentic dishes, typical of the Benevento tradition, from soups to pasta and main courses, all cooked simply but tasty. Average price 30-35 per person for a full lunch, coffee and amaro kindly offered on the house...an experience I'd say worth repeating...I recommend trying it...

I came with my son and husband during a stopover between Monopoli and Rome, in Benevento. We loved the restaurant: typical, very Italian atmosphere, very friendly staff, and fun decor. We ordered lardiata (a typical Neapolitan dish - photo attached), fusillo apicese (a typical pasta from that region), and paccheri. All very tasty. It doesn't have air conditioning but it does have fans, and the atmosphere was pleasant even on a hot day.
