My husband and I were there this evening, it's a quiet little place, but you need to book. We were welcomed, I assume, by the owner who takes care of everything himself. He was very kind and helped us choose because my husband has food allergies. We ate a peppered mussel soup, a sea bream, a squid with crane sauce, two bottles of water, a pineapple. €58, excellent, we'll be back.

Menu with classic dishes executed to perfection. The daily menu has great prices. Good appetizers, such as zucchini blossoms stuffed with ricotta. Main courses, like cod, are surprisingly good. The service to tourists is friendly and respectful.

This unassuming restaurant is the finest there is for real food made with love in Naples. I’m not blowing smoke or gassing this place up. The food is meticulous and excellent in all the ways that you’d hope for. If you are Italian American you will find notes of your heritage here. Honestly, there are no words for how good this place is. What an absolutely beautiful meal.

The best meal I had in Italy, and great service too. We had the parmigiana, stuffed zucchini flowers, lemon tuna risotto, escalope with lemon sauce, dessert, and a glass of falanghina. Everything was absurdly delicious. Definitely show up early or make a reservation because it fills up fast.

I found Osteria da Carmela through a Google recommendation when I was looking for a good pasta restaurant near the Naples National Archaeological Museum, and it was so good! I got lucky because I arrived right when they opened, so there were no other customers yet. However, by the time I left, the restaurant was completely packed and they weren't taking any walk-ins. Because it's so popular, I strongly recommend making a reservation ahead of time. The food was incredible. both the seafood pasta and the vongole (clam) pasta were absolutely amazing. It's the perfect spot to eat after a museum visit!
