Trattoria da Gianni was one of the best places we ate in Venice. The food was absolutely delicious, full of authentic flavors and clearly prepared with great care and quality ingredients. Every dish we tried was perfectly cooked and beautifully presented.
The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, giving you a true Italian trattoria experience away from the tourist crowds. The staff was extremely kind, attentive, and made us feel at home from the moment we arrived.
If you’re looking for genuine Italian cuisine, generous portions, and an authentic Venetian experience, Trattoria da Gianni is a must-visit. We truly enjoyed every moment and would happily come back again!

11/12/2025: My girlfriend and I came for dinner to try the pizza and were truly impressed. Light dough, perfectly crispy crust, and excellent quality ingredients. The pizzas are large and generous, but not heavy.
Quick service, friendly and attentive staff.
A simple yet welcoming place, perfect for a casual dinner where you can enjoy a good meal without any surprises.
We'll definitely be back!
07/12/2025: I live in Genoa, but I ended up in San Donato for family reasons. I've been to this restaurant several times and have always had excellent food, and the prices are excellent. I'd definitely recommend it.

Excellent quality food, a beautiful location, and five stars also for Gianluca, the restaurant manager, who carefully and passionately explained the dishes and wines to us, making us feel truly pampered.

I was on holiday passing through Laino and came across this bistro out of curiosity after reading the many positive reviews, and I have to admit, they were all absolutely right. The place is beautiful, the food is divine, especially the pizza, which is among the best I've ever had, and the service is fast and attentive. What can I say... full marks!

23/09/2025: Great pub)) you can tell the bartender what cocktails you like and he will make you something similar, but special, with imagination. And then he will definitely ask if you liked it. If not, then the cocktail will be redone. Very colorful and interesting place. I advise you to definitely visit when you are in Milan

At lunchtime, it offers well-prepared light dishes with quick service. At dinner, it offers carefully prepared dishes with well-balanced flavors, especially when choosing fish dishes. An excellent wine list is also available.

21/10/2025: Just 35 minutes from Milan, a classy restaurant serving traditional yet innovative dishes. I always choose the tasting menu, which changes frequently thanks to the chef's imagination and the seasonal ingredients he uses. The staff is extremely kind and knowledgeable. I highly recommend it (don't rush it, as everything is made to order and takes time).

22/10/2025: I was very happy to go there. There were new and creative dishes, and they were well-executed, but this time they were basic, and everything was very neutral, mild, and darling! I won't be back for now. I'll wait five months and then try again, hoping they understand that some seafood needs to be enhanced with seasoning. Not everything should be left to its own taste, which can be nauseating.

20/12/2025: We are on a road trip through Italy, trying Pizza Napoletana in different restaurants. For my taste, this one had more cheese than necessary, which overpowered the other flavors.
20/12/2025: What an amazing place! We booked the evening before and so pleased we did as it was full by 830pm. Fantastic location and atmosphere. Lobster linguine was to die for. Service was friendly and professional. Best meal I’ve had since fountain-bleu in Miami where we paid five times the price. Highly recommend.
