06/07/2025: I expected better, a chic and gourmet looking restaurant, but in reality the food was simple, with bottles of water at room temperature and soft drinks served in cans... it just looks like a fine dining restaurant. Disappointing restaurant!!!

06/07/2025: Our hotel made a reservation for us for inside as it was sweltering. When we got there, the host greeted us (my daughter and I)and decided that he had no more places inside so we sat in the thick heat and ate a meal that was not exceptional, and therefore left as soon as possible after the meal. In the meantime tables inside the restaurant remained empty. Table service was attentive, I cannot fault it. Food was underwhelming. We will not be returning.

08/07/2025: Slow and inattentive service. We had the tasting menu, both cooked and raw. The food has potential and the venue is nice. I just regret that my best friend chose it to celebrate her birthday, when we can go anywhere we like on the island… Instead of admitting that they have no real sommelier working that evening, they give us a waiter who has no clue and sells us a bottle of their house “champagne” and forgets about us for the rest of the evening, even though we explain that we’d like to try several wines. Talks negatively about local winemakers on the island (“too expensive”). We mention twice (both to our waiter/quasi sommelier and the restaurant manager) that we are celebrating a birthday and it’d be nice to get a candle with dessert. They even ask me to point out the birthday girl, but then they completely forget about us. As we are getting up to leave we get a “oh and HBD btw” from the waiter. He should’ve kept pretending he forgot, honestly. Update: upon reading this review, the owner basically contacts my best friend on WhatsApp in order to “apologize”, but then turns the whole thing into a rant… pretty sad stuff.

08/07/2025: This restaurant was highly recommended to us by several people, a signal too strong to ignore... and in fact they were right! The service was impeccable: attentive, friendly, but never intrusive. The fish, very fresh and local, was the protagonist in every course with a good balance between authentic flavors and raw materials of the highest quality. Another pleasant surprise was the wine list: extensive, well-curated, with a very interesting selection, especially regarding champagne. There are labels of big names but also small sought-after productions, described with passion. We had the pleasure of exchanging a few words with the owner, who showed us the cellar: a real gem! Koala is a restaurant that absolutely deserves a visit: for the quality of the food, for the long history of the place and for the splendid wine proposal, with a careful eye on both Italian and French wines. We will definitely be back, next time!

24/06/2025: ordered the cotoletta alla milanese with a side of sautéed potatoes and the tiramisu. the cotoletta was good, but not the best i’ve ever had. the sautéed potatoes were also good, but could’ve had more flavour. the tiramisu was delicious and very moist. overall good service and kind servers.

21/06/2025: Perfect restaurant for a lunch break. Good and abundant dishes. They offer workers' menus with multiple variations and that's their strong point. The place is a bit noisy but then you get used to it.

10/05/2025: Simple and welcoming location, which reminds you of your grandmother's house when you were a child. The cook is a young girl who knows her stuff in terms of cooking and taste: she manages to range from a simple appetizer of Vitello Tonnato (absolutely worth trying), to an agnolotti in roast sauce with a very thin pasta that seems almost non-existent, to a burger with chips and noteworthy local meat. The wines are zero km thanks to the delicious bottles of the Goggiano winery located a few meters from the restaurant. I have yet to taste the pizza, but if this is the premise, I will definitely return 1000 more times:

04/06/2025: In occasione di una breve vacanza a Castellammare del Golfo, io e mio marito abbiamo scoperto questo ristorante semplice e carino, a gestione familiare e molto accogliente, direttamente sul porticciolo. Piatti semplici ma che non hanno nulla da invidiare a ristoranti super qualificati. Prodotto fresco e di qualità a seconda del pescato del giorno. Super consigliato!!!!

10/06/2025: A group of us were in Cortona for a wedding and wanted to try a restaurant in a different town - and this was hands down our favorite from the five days we were in the region. The staff were so lovely and welcoming, and from start to finish this was a great meal experience. The food itself was phenomenal - ask for olive oil pairings with your food! The seafood was so fresh and the pasta mouth-wateringly delicious. If you're reading this review, run, don't walk there - you will love this place.

03/06/2025: We had a wonderful dinner here! Definitely not your standard Italian fare — everything from the generous seafood antipasti to the delicious seafood pasta and the tiramisu was exceptional. The fish was fresh and perfectly prepared. Service was warm and welcoming, with very friendly and attentive staff. 28/06/2025: We have been to this seafood restaurant and I must say that the experience was truly excellent. The fish is very fresh, cooked with care and presented impeccably. Each dish reflects the quality of the raw materials and the attention to detail by the chef. I particularly appreciated the raw fish, delicate and tasty, the exceptional first courses, and the fracture, fresh and cooked to perfection. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, always ready to recommend the right dish or wine pairing. A restaurant where you can perceive the passion for seafood and where the quality is truly top notch. Highly recommended for those who love good, well-made fish!

24/06/2025: We tried the mixed appetizer platter with raw fish, oysters, tuna, salmon, and prawns at IlDelfino – and it was simply fantastic! Fresh, lovingly prepared, perfectly seasoned, and served with a lot of heart. Highly recommended for all seafood fans! 🐟✨
