11/08/2025: We arrived at Joia on the recommendation of our booking host. The waitresses welcomed us very kindly and made sure the dishes were to our liking. As for the food, my boyfriend and I shared mussel soup, fusilli with pistachio pesto and tuna tartare, and roasted octopus. The presentation of the dishes was very pleasant, but the quality was average. The value for money was a bit too high for the quality of the food and the location.
11/08/2025: A restaurant overlooking the port of Trieste with modern decor. The music selection on the day we were there was very pleasant. The service was both friendly and professional. The menu clearly and logically focuses on fish. The dishes we ordered were all delicious: quality products, very well prepared and cooked. The price-performance ratio is excellent. Absolutely recommended.

29/07/2025: A high-end restaurant. The quality of the fish is truly top-notch, the place is very elegant. If I really had to find a flaw, it's the service, with young waiters who, being a bit inexperienced, can sometimes be a bit distracted. It's very close to taking it to a much higher level. In any case, I'd gladly return, and if you love quality fish, I highly recommend it.

19/07/2025: Très bien installé et bon service avec jeunes serveurs souriants.Nous avons déjeuné et diné dans ce restaurant.Salades variées bien fraîches,lasagnes et pâtes et mix de poissons délicieux.Bon rapport qualité prix .Nous séjournions à l hôtel campagnolo donc pas de problème de parking pour nous.
05/07/2025: An utterly disappointing experience. The food was shockingly bland, lacking even the most basic seasoning. Not a hint of flavor or effort. The manager’s attitude was equally distasteful — curt, unwelcoming, and unprofessional. The atmosphere felt cold and uninspired. Overall vibe: a tragic -2/10.

22/08/2025: The place was packed, but it was still possible to chat peacefully. We ate fish because they serve dishes that aren't found elsewhere, very unique and delicious. I recommend the mixed antipasti and the fried fish. Another time I had the spaghetti allo scoglio, and they were delicious. Excellent.
19/08/2025: I always ordered takeout, almost every week. The prices were never clear, but now it's gone too far. I always ordered sea bream parcels for 2 pieces for 15 euros. The last order my husband picked up didn't notice, and he charged me an extra 25 euros. I called her, and she was very helpful at first. Then we went there, and she said the parcels were 20 euros each, but they were 2 for a 40-euro portion. On Just Eat, it says 15 euros for a 2-piece portion. She made excuses to avoid giving us the 25 euros back. We also saw that she buys the tonnatelli at the supermarket, not homemade. I'm sorry, but we'll never go there again.

15/06/2025: Siamo stati in questo ristorante per confrontare l’attuale gestione con quella che conoscevamo ai tempi di Cosimino. Abbiamo trovato tutto molto fresco con ottime pietanze. Lo staff ottimo,molto efficiente e garbato. Il costo in linea con i ristoranti dello stesso livello è congruo rispetto alla qualità. Penso ci sia la necessità di rivedere il menù almeno per quel che riguarda gli ingredienti dei vari piatti proposti anche perché siamo rimasti un po’ delusi dal primo che abbiamo ordinato pensando in una preparazione col pomodorino anziché in bianco. Per il resto ok

08/06/2025: Easy-going place nice for children because inside the restaurant the walls are painted with the mood of Naples, the pizza is decent and the cooking is better, excellent but the fried calzone and the desserts could also be improved. Friendly staff, overall nothing special, too bad because once it was an excellent restaurant where you ate very well and the pizza was excellent... it was like being in Naples but staying at home. We had the appetizer with fried gnocco (which I did not photograph), the fried calzone, the tarallo pizza (to be improved) and two desserts.

08/08/2025: I live in Liguria, so there was no comparison: hospitality, service, and ambiance were all top marks. The seafood dishes were a delight to the eye and palate. Tecchiena beats Tellaro 10-0 (at least in this restaurant). The prices are perfectly in line with the quality; in fact, at more prestigious places you'll eat worse for the same price. In short, highly recommended.
01/08/2025: Midweek dinner, truly excellent hot and cold appetizers, especially the fresh salmon and seafood salad. For main courses, sea bream and swordfish—two successes! All accompanied by an excellent Vermentino. Well done!

22/08/2025: Refined cuisine, but not cheap. The service wasn't great; one of the waiters (probably jaded by tourists) was pretentious and didn't even hide his annoyance when we asked for a replacement for a fork my son had accidentally dropped; this set the tone for the atmosphere....
17/08/2025: We went for Ferragosto and had a wonderful meal! I highly recommend the slow-cooked duck with vegetables.

12/05/2025: Definitely a place to recommend! I had dinner in this place last Saturday for a communion and I was very amazed by the quality of the products and the non-trivial culinary offering. In particular, being vegan, I was the only person with a different menu and the dishes were good and "thought out", which is not to be taken for granted. Another thing that is not to be taken for granted when you are vegan is receiving the same number of courses as the other diners and here for every fish-based course I received a vegan one. The only dish I would suggest doing differently is the second course, as there was no plant-based protein source present. A quick idea could also be simple tempeh blended with white wine.
