05/11/2024: I had dinner here together with a colleague. We arrived a bit out of season in the beginning of October. My colleague was vegetarian and the staff were extremely helpful and very nice and engaged. The food was also nice and the desert was superb. We really enjoyed this restaurant and we really felt like valued customers.

28/02/2025: In a questionable urban context, the da Dino restaurant certainly shines for having recreated a refined and extremely pleasant environment, where it is possible to taste good fish cuisine. Welcomed by a good bubble and served with professionalism and friendliness, I certainly recommend the truly tasty paccheri. In my opinion the wine list needs to be revised with more local proposals.

18/02/2025: If I could give Oscar a zero, I would do it without any doubt. My partner and I went to eat there because we were invited by a family member. The atmosphere was pretty cold, the staff never smiled to us. We asked for two rissotto neri, one risotto ai frutti di mare and one pasta alle vongole. They brought us just tree plates but not the pasta. We kept asking for the plate that was missing and after 30 minutes they brought it, without giving any apology , besides the maître said with nonchallance that there was a mistake, they gave our pasta alle vongole to someone else before. We could not believe our eyes. I do not understand how this restaurant has so many Michellin stars because the service was bad, the food mediocre and the prices were pretty high. I wouldn´t recommend even my worst enemy to eat at Oscar.

16/02/2025: We decide to go to Oscar with some expectations. Narrow tables (perhaps too many) and modest venue. Decent dishes but no excellence, modest desserts. Service practically like a pizzeria. In Livorno, spend more than €150 elsewhere.

07/10/2024: The place was not too crowded, the waiter of our rank never passed between the tables, to call him each time we waited at least 8/9 minutes. We take a first course each, a shared second course then we decide to have dessert with a glass of wine, the panna cotta arrives at the table and tasting and smelling it tasted like rotten eggs, luckily they didn't add it to the bill, but they still made a bad impression, the place looked really nice from the outside but the service was not 100% as you would expect from such a place

05/03/2025: Last Saturday I was at the Mattarana pizzeria in Verona, a nice place, excellent and fast service, I ate very well, the appetizers were excellent, even the first courses were not bad and it was a nice experience. To be repeated

23/09/2024: Well-kept early seventies venue, large outdoor spaces with a beautiful view of the sea, very helpful and courteous staff. Fish-based menu with few but excellent dishes (I had never eaten tuna like this). The chef's appetizer was excellent (pity that the peppered mussels that had been presented to me verbally were missing, the description is missing on the menu), the first courses and the second courses. The presentation is very careful. The only note is that the prices are a little above average.

18/09/2024: Sono stato due notti a settembre; la scelta è dettata soprattutto perchè dalle foto vedo che è sul mare. La struttura anche se non molto grande ha tutto l'occorrente per passare qualche giorno di relax, è accogliente ed ordinata. La proprietà ed il personale giovanile, tutti molto gentili e sempre disponibili. Camere ben pulite, un bagno probabilmente ristrutturato da poco, veramente bello, molto meglio di altre strutture più blasonate o 4 stelle. Abbiamo cenato per due sere, nonostante il menù fosse "imposto" per via di un ticket regalo, ciò che ci hanno offerto era di ottima qualità, ben preparato e molto buono; complimenti! Se non becchi il mare mosso e soprattutto vento, com'è successo a me, il posto si rivela molto rilassante e le giornate vanno via spensierate, viceversa trovare qualcosa da fare diventa difficile, Menfi non offre molto, idem Portopalo, un pò più interessante Sciacca, ma una volta fatto un giro, non è che si può stare tt il giorno a fare tappe nei bar per far passare il tempo. Unica nota stonata a mio avviso, è far pagare ombrellone e sdraio a chi pernotta, che ritengo diverso da chi vuole trascorrere una singola giornata in mare e giustamente paga per il servizio; tanto più che (pur non essendo colpa del gestore) causa tempo non bello, ho utilizzato il servizio per circa 2/3 ore... In conclusione posto consigliato per pochi giorni.

15/01/2025: A fairly welcoming place in a central location where you can have lunch and eat a good pizza at an overall average price. It is preferable to book so that there is no waiting time for a table. Sufficiently fast service, compatible with the number of takeaway pizzas. In summer, around ten outdoor tables are available. On Saturday evenings you have to wander around a bit to find parking.

11/01/2025: It is the first restaurant where my son ate before the year, and we often stopped to eat here from trips to the city, and after years we still come back when we want a particular pizza and we are always satisfied between portions, service and speed. The narrow environment is perhaps the only flaw that prevents a conversation with a minimum of privacy

15/01/2025: Sincerely surprised. Good quality food. The entrance is slightly hidden, you have to be a little careful when notifying it, but once inside you are immediately welcomed by the exceptional room manager who puts you at ease, providing you with information and advice about the menu of the day, the dishes and any wine pairings. The price is excellent and appropriate for the quality of the product served. Furthermore, for lovers of aquariums and others, at the entrance there is an aquarium with all natural materials and beautifully colored fish (see photo).
