Beautiful atmosphere, delicious food, and the owner Mario and his wife are incredibly kind!!! We'll be back!!!

We had dinner with my family at this truly magical place, a tiny trabocco (maximum 15 seats) where the food, atmosphere, and images are unique. There's no menu; Mrs. Emilia cooks with fish she buys that day, and her husband, Mario, a seemingly gruff man, accompanies you throughout the evening, serving dishes and sharing the story of their trabocco without ever being intrusive. An experience to be had slowly (dinner lasts 3 hours), enjoying the setting, the sunset, the colors, and the excellent food.

A unique experience, with top-notch food and colorful service. Be prepared to sit for at least three hours, but it's worth it. Reservations are required at least one day in advance. Highly recommended.

Making everything even more special is Mario, an excellent host. With his hospitality, he welcomes everyone, making them feel at home. The restaurant has limited seating. This intimate atmosphere ensures prompt service and transforms the meal into a unique, exclusive, and unforgettable experience. The view of Punta Penna beach, with Punta Aderci and the Majella in the background, is a breathtaking spectacle. Highly recommended! If you pass through Vasto, this is a must-see that will remain in your heart.

From the phone call to make the reservation to the end of the meal, I can say this experience was unique. This trabocco seats a maximum of 10 people and is open by reservation only, which is why the quality of the food is excellent. The menu, thanks to its authenticity, changes daily based on the catch. We ate several appetizers, both hot and cold (the squid with chickpea cream was amazing), a first course and a second course (a spectacular sea bream steak), and dessert to finish. The meal lasted over 3 hours, especially considering the express dishes. Outwardly gruff, but in reality a whimsical entertainer, Mario is a skilled host who pays attention to his guests. His hospitality, combined with the "home" cooking (truly open to the public!) and the undisputed quality of the ingredients, make this a must-visit for seafood lovers and tasting menus. Saved to favorites.

What an experience! The location is fabulous, what a spectacle! It overlooks a beautiful beach with both the Maiella and Gran Sasso mountains in the background. The limited seating allows for both the attention to detail and the service. Mario is the soul of the trabocco and a wealth of information. He's a great entertainer and truly friendly and helpful. The heart of the trabocco is in the kitchen, and they truly work hard to satisfy their guests with excellently prepared and delicious dishes. You should set aside at least three hours for the experience, and it's best to arrive on an empty stomach. It's definitely worth it.

An unforgettable seafood experience in an unforgettable location. Arrive for the sunset and stay for course after course of the freshest seafood you've ever had. Thank you to Mario, his wife chef Emilia (and of course Charlie!) for a truly wonderful experience. Be sure to book well in advance -- you will not regret it!!!

I give it 5 stars because I can't give more; returning to Trimalcione is pure joy. Mario welcomes you with his unique charm. His stories are always fascinating, as are his cultured and gracious quotes, a rarity these days. Emilia always amazes you with her flavorful yet delicate cuisine, using the freshest local produce. Dining on their trabocco is a joy not only for the palate but also for the mind and eyes. You couldn't ask for anything better. The beauty of their trabocco is unparalleled, and the view you can enjoy envelops and overwhelms you.
