18/02/2026: Antica Osteria del Sole, located in the heart of Montelupo Fiorentino, is highly regarded for its meats, particularly the excellent Florentine steak, cooked rare and perfectly done. Customers praise the quality of the Tuscan ingredients, the tender meat, the green peppercorn fillet, and the excellent value, all in a quaint and welcoming atmosphere. Also noteworthy are the excellent first courses and wood-fired pizza.

15/02/2026: Nice rustic restaurant in the old part of the city. It truly feels like a place where locals go, which is always a good sign when you’re looking for something authentic. The atmosphere was warm and cozy, with soft jazz music playing in the background. They have their own house red wine, with a bottle placed on every table, which adds a charming touch. I didn’t try it because I had to drive, but I took a bottle with me instead. I ordered a steak, medium rare, and it was absolutely perfect — tender and melting in the mouth. Dogs are also welcome, which makes the place even more inviting. Overall, a wonderful and complete dining experience.

07/01/2026: A very nice place for both pizza (excellent) and an à la carte dinner. It's hard to see from the street but easy to find. Recommended for dinners with friends and/or business meetings.

17/02/2026: Excellent service, interesting location, excellent burger. The house wine is quite expensive for a "house" wine...we're in Maremma Tuscany! The tables are a bit askew. We had 1 bruschetta, 1 house white, water, burger, tagliatelle...about 85 euros.

29/03/2026: The place overlooking the cathedral is beautiful, but they don't close their doors even in winter, so breakfast was a good idea, even with a jacket on. Three cappuccinos and three croissants for €27...we definitely paid for the cathedral's restoration!

27/03/2026: At Brunelleschi Bistrot the food was excellent, wine and grappa also bring the Italian flavour very well together. Staff friendly and welcoming. Prices are decent and the view of Duomo make the italian atmosphere the most memorable. Highly recommend 👌

13/01/2026: An evening with friends for pizza and more, a place with plenty of tables, and a friendly, attentive staff. Excellent, mouthwatering potato chips, delicious fresh fried artichokes, lobster gnocchi I thought were excellent, the blue crab gnocchi were a must-try, and the linguine with clams and bottarga. The pizza was not bad, huge, and the chocolate and orange cake with flaked almonds was also excellent. Still white wine and coffee were also included. I must say the service was prompt and the price was excellent, a good balance between quality and price. We had a great time.

12/02/2026: DISAPPOINTING EXPERIENCE IN A FIVE-STAR PROPERTY I wasn't staying at the hotel, but I had booked afternoon tea over the phone a week in advance to celebrate my twenty-fifth birthday with my best friend. The staff was extremely courteous when I called and confirmed the reservation without any problems. For this reason, it was surprising and disappointing to discover, upon arrival, that my name wasn't on the list. Having arrived early, accompanied by my photographer, I simply wanted to take some professional photos (without flash) in the splendid setting of the lobby before the reservation time. Initially, we weren't told anything, but shortly thereafter, we were practically prevented from continuing for alleged "privacy" reasons. I understand the concern for guests, but we're talking about spaces like the lobby and bar, which remain reception areas open to the public. Subsequently, I was approached again to verify the name on the reservation, which, as already mentioned, was not listed. Only when my friend arrived were we finally escorted to our table. The service was also quite slow: we had to wait a long time before we could order, and only after asking several times were we finally acknowledged. The afternoon tea itself was pleasant, as was the location, undeniably gorgeous and elegant. However, the overall experience was compromised by the staff's attitude, which was perceived as overly rigid and inattentive, especially considering it was a special occasion. A five-star hotel should stand out not only for the beauty of its facilities, but also for the attention and care given to all guests, not just regular guests. It's a shame, because the location is extraordinary, but the experience didn't live up to expectations.

13/01/2026: High-level service. After all, we're at the Four Seasons in Florence. Be warned, it's not exactly in the center. You have to walk 20 minutes. The atmosphere is very beautiful, with a spectacular covered quadrilateral, but it's geared toward an international clientele and a bit cramped.

17/03/2026: We have travelled to Tenuta Sant'Ilario a few times and I got married on this location in September 2025. Tt was truly a dream. The surroundings are so beautiful and the venue itself has fantastic views, lovely rooms, relaxing pool area and a really great restaurant. A part of the rooms are recently renovated but it is all still in Tuscan rustic style - beautiful. All our guests were in awe of the venue! The team was a pleasure to work with and assisted with the planning, thanks to them I was able to plan everything without an expensive wedding planner. Everyone of the staff was super helpful and kind. Cannot wait to return here regularly to make more memories :)

12/10/2025: I went with a group, and the person who took us there said he'd met the owner while he was in the hospital. Considering how much we spent, not to mention the wine we were offered because of this "acquaintance," I wasn't very satisfied.

21/02/2026: EXCEPTIONAL experience!!!!! THIS IS ALREADY THE SECOND TIME WE'VE BEEN EATING AT THIS MAGNIFICENT PLACE!!! TODAY, FOR THE EIGHTIETH, WE HAD 42 PEOPLE WITH A FRESH FISH MENU OF THE HIGHEST LEVEL YOU CAN EXPECT. DEFINITELY RECOMMENDED!!!

02/03/2026: BE WARNED CHARGED 600€ EXTRA TO MAKE RESERVATION We dined at this Michelin-starred restaurant last year. The food was par for expectations, but our experience was overshadowed by serious and unresolved billing issues. When booking months in advance, we had to make a few minor adjustments to our reservation due to normal travel changes — including simply shifting the time slightly later in the evening. Each modification triggered a €200 charge. At no point during the booking process was it clearly disclosed that these charges were non-refundable for every individual change. There was no transparent warning that even small adjustments would permanently forfeit €200 each time. This is especially unreasonable for an international destination restaurant where travel plans can change easily. Charging and retaining €200 for minor time adjustments — without clear, prominent disclosure — is disproportionate. After dining (our bill was approximately €500), we ultimately paid over €1,100 due to more than €600 in duplicate reservation charges. When we contacted the restaurant, they acknowledged this was a “known issue” but refused to correct it and instructed us to dispute it with our credit card provider. By the time we discovered the error, the dispute window had expired. The restaurant then stopped responding. Under EU consumer protection standards, fees must be transparent, clearly disclosed, and proportionate. Retaining €600 in undisclosed, duplicate reservation charges raises serious concerns about fair commercial practice. I strongly advise future guests to monitor reservation charges very carefully. Based on our experience, making changes — even minor ones — can result in substantial non-refundable fees that are not clearly communicated upfront.

26/02/2026: After wide researching, this restaurant offered the best tasting menu in Florence. Beautiful restaurant in an easy location. Service was kind and attentive. Unbelievable that this is 1 Michelin and not 2! Every plate was truly delicious and packed a real tasting punch. What I liked most was the staff who were very warm and professional. As a lone diner I was really well looked after. The chef is inventive without being crazy. The whole kitchen team is very, very skilled especially the Sous. Will be my number 1 recommendation for Michelin dining in Florence.
