We loved our experience in this beautiful restaurant. The food was extraordinary with the service. We had raviolis, steak and tiramisu with a red wine of nobile. All the details, service was unforgettable. Will surely come back..

A real experience... if you pass through Florence you must take a Giostra ride ♥️ the owner is a wealth of special stories... a lover of cuisine but also of Rock music! The quality of the meat is very high! Thank you!

Odd complimentary appetiser. Rock music not suitable and not fitting with surroundings. Young servers pleasant, lovely girl, but service generally poor. For example several patrons asking to be served. Wouldn't return, sorry. I don't understand the hype re- the food. Tiramisu was excellent however

A fantastic experience, like twenty years ago (not only the atmosphere remains, but also the kitchen is still great). All the ingredients were excellent, which made even the simplest dish very delicious. The portions were generous and the steak was cooked perfectly. Very hospitable place, everyone was nice. The next time we are in Florence, we will definitely come again! Thank You!

La Giostra in Florence, Italy, hands down takes the crown for the best restaurant experience ever! Their meat dishes are cooked to absolute perfection—it's like they've cracked the secret recipe for culinary bliss. And let me tell you, describing the food as a "soft hug" is an understatement; it's more like a flavorful, comforting embrace that warms you from the inside out. If you're in Italy, skipping out on La Giostra would be a culinary crime. Trust me, your taste buds will thank you, and your trip won't be complete without indulging in their incredible dishes. Eating here was the highlight of my entire journey—it's worth every single flavorful moment. Also whoever left less than 5 stars , you’re just being a hater!

A recommended restaurant during our Rome tour! I ate 1.5kg T-bone steak (for 2 people) and house wine! I ordered medium well done and it was perfect! Please note that unless otherwise specified, we will serve it medium rare! My mom and I ate to our hearts content :) And side dishes? They also give you an appetizer and it’s delicious!

Typical rustic trattoria. The tables are extremely cramped and the atmosphere is dark. The food is very good and serving rustic Italian food. The octopus carpaccio was delicate, lightly seasoned and very tasty. The florentine steak was beautiful - typically undercooked and the meat was soft and tasty. The sides of asparagus and sautéed artichokes were a great accompaniment.

A parte la calorosa accoglienza di un personaggio vistosamente agghindato da giostraio con luccicanti bracciali e tante collane tutto il resto rientra nella simpatica “normalità” di atmosfera e gastronomia di molte vecchie trattorie fiorentine frequentate dai turisti prevalentemente provenienti da oltr’alpe. Il locale (quello tra i due ingressi “Giostra” ove il mio tavolo era prenotato) appare come un largo tunnel privo di finestre incredibilmente stipato di tavoli e tavolini in mezzo ai quali si riesce a passare non senza strusciare sulla schiena di qualche commensale. Le pareti appaiono anch’esse fittamente ricoperte da foto di clienti più o meno illustri in guisa di “hall of fame”. Il clima che si percepisce immediatamente è quello di una discreta e caotica caciara caratterizzata da rumorose esclamazioni in varie lingue tra le quali quella italica (e soprattutto quella parlata dai fiorentini) è tutt’altro che dominante. Cibo e servizio e prezzi nella media. Riassumendo un locale ricco di folclore che può rappresentare una piacevole sosta per turisti che vi troveranno anche una una cucina toscana di discreto livello.
