06/06/2026: La Taberna dei Cinque Sensi is a restaurant located in the historic center of Ragusa; we ate wonderfully, with both meat and seafood dishes. The service was excellent; they even offered us a small traditional appetizer and a tasting of local olive oil with homemade bread. Finally, the bill was truly excellent. Highly recommended.

09/06/2026: We dined at this restaurant a few nights ago when we visited Modica. We were pleasantly surprised by the fact that the menu isn't the usual run-of-the-mill fare, with Mazara red shrimp and fish taking center stage. It's a selection of dishes that grandma makes, like the pasta with tinnirumi, which was excellent, and the rabbit alla stimpirata, which I'd never tried (the mint balanced the other flavors well). The almond jelly was highly recommended. When paying, we noticed that they sell the ingredients used in the dishes, such as Cosaruciara beans and Modica broad beans, which we were happy to purchase.

05/06/2026: I've rarely eaten such delicious and unique pizzas. If you want to eat where the locals go in Cefalu and escape the crowds, it's well worth the trip. It's truly worth it, a highlight of our trip. 😋🍷

The service is impeccable, from the welcome to the presentation of the dishes, and the kindness and courtesy of the staff. The dishes are gourmet with somewhat smaller portions, and the prices are high, but within the norm for this type of restaurant.

A refined and delicate gastronomic offering, crafted using exclusively local products. The masterfully prepared sardines a beccafico are unforgettable, as are the swordfish rolls, which convey the full Sicilian seafood tradition with surprising lightness and finesse. The artisanal bread is also excellent, accompanied by a carefully selected, high-quality extra virgin olive oil. 17/05/2026: I underestimated the portion sizes in this Sicilian restaurant. It's located by the sea, and although the weather wasn't great the day I visited, it was still very relaxing. I stumbled upon this place; I was staying at a hotel only 500 meters away. It was incredibly generous. I ordered the 35-pound set meal, and they brought out so many appetizers, plus two more pasta dishes – we couldn't finish it all! Highly recommended! Everything in my photos is included in the set meal, including drinks. I don't drink alcohol, but I ordered a little white wine. Highly recommended!!!

26/04/2026: A traditional restaurant with very helpful and friendly staff, tasty and plentiful traditional dishes, and a welcoming atmosphere. Prices are reasonable, and it's recommended if you're in the area. We haven't tried the pizza, as it's not available at lunchtime.

06/06/2026: This is an old-fashioned restaurant with a cuisine that "glorifies pork." The dishes have been the same for decades, always excellent. The prices are astonishing; in my area, a pizza costs more than a full meal here.

01/06/2026: A restaurant where pork is the main ingredient in all the dishes expertly prepared by the chef. The quality is truly excellent; the historic Maiore risotto remains my favorite, and the jelly served with the appetizers is delicious. I would describe it as true traditional Sicilian mountain cuisine, with flavors that preserve the ancient tradition. Highly recommended.

31/05/2026: A bit of a wait. The food was decent, some of it pre-prepared and reheated. When we asked for onion to be added to the orange salad, they said the onion was out (we were guests with reservations and started lunch around 1 PM). My thought: the salad was prepared earlier (legitimate), but they claimed it was out so they wouldn't have to chop the onion and bring it...

21/02/2026: A very charming little spot for an aperitivo or aperitivo with indoor and outdoor seating. The cocktails are beautifully crafted, and the snacks also help spark pleasant conversation. There's paid parking nearby in blue lines in Catania's nightlife district.

22/03/2026: I walked away feeling ripped off - especially since this was the first restaurant I’ve encountered in two weeks that sought a tip - starting at 24%. I found this place using the Michelin app and it currently has a 4.6 rating on Google. I got the “SHEEP MEAT /ENDIVE /BAKED RICOTTA CHEESE.” I didn’t know what to expect, but most other dishes were made from organs so I hoped to play it safe. The waiter described the sheep meat as a “pot pie,” made from different sheep meat “textures.” In essence, it was a compilation of sheep (lamb?) stripes and what appeared to me minced of sheep meet. It was ok, but nothing exciting. The “endive, baked ricotta” portion of the meal was a a small salad. The endive was boiled and impossible to cut. The taste of the ricotta was lost on bitterness of the endive. This certainly was not a Michelin not a Google 4.6 experience.

02/06/2026: Super-fast service, excellent food! Reservations are essential, otherwise you risk having to wait… The staff, however, work hard to quickly clear tables and make them available for those waiting. The octopus and mussels are a must-try!
