An unforgettable evening We felt right at home Excellent food, prepared according to Sicilian tradition The owner was kind and hospitable The appetizers were delicious. They then recommended a trio of first courses, and it was an excellent choice. Mouth-watering. I'll be back soon and recommend it to everyone, without a doubt.

A bit of a wait. The food was decent, some of it pre-prepared and reheated. When we asked for onion to be added to the orange salad, they said the onion was out (we were guests with reservations and started lunch around 1 PM). My thought: the salad was prepared earlier (legitimate), but they claimed it was out so they wouldn't have to chop the onion and bring it...

Very authentic osteria. The owner, Mr Mariano (75) still works in there and rally to the customers, make jokes, and offers more wine if he likes you. I had a pasta alla Mariano and it was really good.

Small, family-run restaurant in Ortigia/Siracus serving classic Mediterranean dishes. The excellent house wine (white and red) pairs perfectly with the food.

The only glimmer of light in a deceptive Ortigia that doesn't care about anyone. Authentic place. I was delighted to find the calamaretti (squid) thanks to a recommendation from a local woman (who also owns another similar business). The price was very fair. If you don't want to be bothered by the various scams, go to this little restaurant that enjoys the trust of the Syracusans. Congratulations and thank you.
