My partner and I had dinner by chance last night 8/5/24 in this ancient tavern, we were enraptured by the excellent Syracusan cuisine, but what really made us enthusiastic and fall in love with the place was the extreme kindness of the staff, but in particular Mr. Mariano, owner and worker who pampered us. Thank you so much...Mariano (now in NS ❤️) We'll be back.
We recommend it with heart and belly.

While we were looking for a non-touristy place, we came across this little gem.
We were welcomed by the owner who immediately treated us as if we were his children, with sweetness and affection, an attitude also shared by the friendly, kind and helpful staff.
The food is excellent, the raw materials are of high quality and the prices are very honest.
I highly recommend it!!

Traditional cuisine and generous portions. Excellent food and tasty dishes. Wide choice on the menu, especially among the first courses. Among the various things, the Sicilian orange and onion salad, which Mariano offered us, was very good! Very kind.
Medium-low prices, excellent quality/price ratio.
Booking recommended.
The only flaw is the location. We had a table near a door that led to a closed room (cellar, closet?); the door was closed, but it let in an unpleasant musty smell. But surely the other tables don't have this problem.

Nice place in the center of Ortigia, a little hidden compared to many others.
Good food, cooked well and at fair prices.
A slightly old place compared to many other more modern ones in Ortigia, sufficient service.
Very courteous owner, waiters a little less so.

Stumbled upon this place. Cozy setting in from the rain and a bit off the beaten track. Food and service were amazing. Rabbit lovely. Penne with mint fennel and basil. Grilled squid the best. Spent a great time chatting with our servers as well. Thanks for a lovely afternoon
