By far the best dinner in Puglia. After a week in Puglia, visiting restaurants, osterias, masserie, and trattorias, I was convinced that Puglia is the southern region with the worst food. However, this restaurant is a real gem. I ate probably the best raw shrimp and scampi of my life. The first course with sea urchins was excellent (half portion in the photo). The prices were fair, the waiters were friendly and welcoming, always ready to explain the dishes and joke with the customers. A restaurant I will keep in my heart and will definitely return to when I visit Puglia.

A warm welcome, fresh fish cuisine – as a spearfisherman and freediver, I was delighted and in heaven. I highly recommend this establishment; the Italians are very welcoming.

We booked at Osteria dei Briganti for our first dinner in Gallipoli.
They were very helpful right from the moment we booked (a little late at 9:45 PM).
When we arrived at the restaurant, the owner greeted us and was immediately very kind, even to our dog. He answered a few questions about the menu, and then the cart of the day's catch arrived, which we immediately indulged in!
The fish was excellent, perfectly cleaned, and we drank an excellent bottle of wine.
I highly recommend it for the quality of the food, the service, and the location!

We went to this restaurant almost by chance. The food was high quality, and the menu was available in several languages. We only waited a short time for our meal. The cuisine impressed us with its excellent products and the use of only the finest ingredients. The location was charming and elegant, and the service was very attentive. We would gladly return.

We are from Puglia but my wife and I work in Austria and thanks to the advice of an acquaintance, who sent us to a corner of paradise where you can eat excellent quality fish and above all fresh from the daily catch recommended for those who want to eat fine fish, we will return as soon as possible, the owner Luigi delighted us at the end with some almond paste sweets and a homemade orange rosolio which proved to be very courteous and kind, as well as the rest of the staff...... a very beautiful and satisfying experience for those who want to eat unique and carefully prepared dishes

I highly recommend it. We had mussel soup and risotto. The portions were generous and delicious. The price is reasonable for what you get.

What can I say... they exceeded all expectations: they managed to maximize the sensation of tasting the sea with apparent simplicity. We ordered two trios of raw fish and a grilled sea bream. The first course consisted of swordfish carpaccio, shrimp, and scampi, and was simply poetic. The sea bream (the capitalization is not a coincidence) was cooked just right to fully preserve the extraordinary flavor of the fresh fish. Excellent and friendly service. When we chose the fish, we were kindly informed of the weight and cost. Price is reasonable.
Highly recommended
I FORGOT... The house wine was an excellent red, along with coffee and amaro. Everything was delicious.
