25/11/2025: Ristorante Pizzeria Al Desiderio offers a warm, welcoming atmosphere with plenty of vegetarian-friendly options to choose from. The penne all’arrabbiata was absolutely fantastic — perfectly cooked pasta with just the right amount of spice. The staff were friendly and attentive, making the whole experience even better. Do note that the restaurant is actually a short distance from where Google Maps has it pinned, so keep an eye out as you approach. Highly recommend for a delicious and comfortable meal!

03/10/2025: We had such a wonderful experience here! The food was absolutely delicious — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. What really made the visit extra special was the staff: they were so friendly, welcoming, and attentive without being overbearing. You can tell they genuinely care about their guests. We’ll definitely be coming back next tome and highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for great food and warm hospitality!

09/12/2025: We wanted to have lunch here. It was 12:30-12:45, and the restaurant was empty, but the waiter or owner said they were fully booked and there were no seats, in a tone that said, "Go away!" It felt like you weren't welcome here, and only locals were welcome... After all, you can refuse with a smile. And everything was fine. Disappointed with Italian hospitality.

03/12/2025: The best fish dinner of my life!!! From appetizers to main courses, we had Patrizio (truly excellent) prepare practically everything, and it was an unforgettable experience. We'll definitely be back, highly recommended.

12/12/2025: We were looking on Google Maps for a pizzeria in Gazzaniga that was open on Sunday at 9 PM. We found this place, which was open until midnight, so we decided to call and ask if there were still tables available. After receiving a positive response, we arrived at the restaurant at around 9:30 PM. The welcome was not the best, and the staff did not hesitate to show that we were a burden. The restaurant is located more or less in the town center, but once inside, the atmosphere is classic/vintage with 50s/60s-style furniture and decorations. The ambiance was warm and homely. We decided to order some pizzas, glasses of wine, and later some desserts. Overall, the pizzas were rated positively but not excellent; the dough was very thin, but the ingredients and toppings were good. The dessert was not great; it seemed not very creamy or well mixed. The wine was good. The service was not the best, not due to a lack of skills but because of an unprofessional and disrespectful attitude towards us. Overall, the experience did not meet our expectations; the service played a crucial role in our evaluation, despite the average dishes and the restaurant's great potential. 07/12/2025: I arrive at 9:15 PM (the time they told me for my takeout pizzas), but they immediately tell me I'm 20 minutes late. I would have preferred to be called instead of knowing it right away, but okay, it can happen, so I don't make a fuss. As soon as they deliver them to me (9:35 PM), they get my pizza wrong by not filling the crust (€2). Luckily, I'm in the habit of checking my pizzas before leaving. To make up for it, they give me the wrong pizza and remake me the other one, which still took 10 minutes. It's 9:45 PM, and I sit down to eat them at 10 PM. When I get home, I notice that the crust pizza wasn't filled with ricotta but with the mozzarella from the pizza (photo below). I'm sorry, but you've lost a customer. The only positive note was the pizza, which was very good, but unfortunately it's not enough to make up for all these management shortcomings. What a shame!

Despite calling itself a "trattoria," we find ourselves faced with a series of refined and carefully crafted dishes that showcase local ingredients with seasonal pairings. 06/11/2025: During my lunch break, I politely pointed out to the waiter that the pasta dish was extremely salty and that it was burning my mouth from too much salt (I also prefaced this with, "It's a tip for the kitchen, THERE'S NO NEED TO REDO IT, I'M NOT ASKING YOU TO REDO IT"). The response, when taking away the full plate, was, "That's strange because everyone ate it." They even laughed in my face. Truly unpleasant, not even an apology or an attempt to make amends, like offering coffee... truly unpleasant behavior. For me, politeness is everything. I will definitely never return. Update: The restaurant owner's response to the review speaks for itself and demonstrates his inability to manage customers. Besides lying... An excuse would have been enough, but instead, there were constant justifications and attempts to blame the problem on the customer's taste. It's a shame that everyone at my table thought everything was extremely salty, even the fish. But no one spoke up because who cares, as long as they don't go back to that place. Instead of thanking someone who gives you advice (without asking for anything), you treat them badly.. well done!

17/09/2025: In an age where we always wish we were somewhere else, somewhere we're not, and only on the journey between the place we've just left and the one we're going to do we feel alive. In a life that often forces us to change habits and trajectories, where places and people cross our visual and emotional field with increasing rapidity, every now and then an uncontrollable force draws us there, to a certain place. A place is never just "that" place: we are a little bit of that place too. Somehow, without knowing it, we carried it within us, and one day, by chance, we arrived there. I'll start by saying that I've only been in the area for a short while and I don't like it, or rather, I like it less and less; fortunately, this place exists. There's something magical about the mornings: jazz or ambient music, fresh flowers, excellent pastries, inviting cakes, and delicious pastry shops (which sell out far too quickly). An open kitchen that promises excellent lunches (though I haven't tried them yet, due to time constraints); all this in a clean, modern, yet welcoming atmosphere. The owners are knowledgeable, kind, and always smiling! A happy place in an area that, for me, isn't particularly lively... (edited after a month). I also went for lunch, unfortunately I wish I had more time, but that's my limitation because the wine was excellent and the fish too!! The menu is always different... fresh, good, and refined dishes (not the pre-cooked ones from the local restaurants) and the same magical welcome as in the morning. Maybe it's just a little more "busy," but it would be strange to find a place like this empty!! Book!

For the quality of the products, the prices are truly excellent. An excellent location for a stroll along the Navigli canals for an aperitif or a post-dinner drink.

27/10/2025: La Mimosa is truly a pleasant discovery in Gallarate. The quiet and relaxed atmosphere, accompanied by pleasant jazz music, creates the perfect setting for a relaxing dinner. The quality of the dishes is excellent, carefully crafted and in keeping with the spirit of Mediterranean cuisine, with great attention to detail. The staff is very friendly and welcoming; special thanks to Matteo, always available and ready to offer recommendations from the extensive wine list. The quality-price ratio is also excellent. Ideal for both a romantic dinner and an evening with friends. Highly recommended!

10/10/2025: I've been coming to this restaurant for years, and I've always had a great experience. I find it harder to find satisfaction here, where you get to see people reinventing themselves, changing, and taking on new challenges, than it is to evaluate a place you've only been to once (it's a hit or miss).
