For us, this restaurant was an absolute stroke of luck and a real insider tip! Food & Cuisine The food here is simply superb. No matter what you order from the menu, everything tastes excellent, is freshly prepared, and perfectly seasoned. A particular highlight for us was the beef tartare: The truffle salt served with it is simply divine and gives the dish a sensational touch. It's worth the visit for that alone! Atmosphere & Clientele The atmosphere in the restaurant is cozy and inviting, and everything is spotlessly clean. What we especially appreciated and what made the evening perfect was that during our visit, it was almost exclusively locals with hardly any tourists. That's exactly what we were looking for – an honest, local restaurant with Italian charm, far removed from typical mass tourism. Service The experience is rounded off by excellent service. The team is attentive, warm, and makes you feel welcome from the very first moment. Conclusion Everything is just right here: fantastic food, a great atmosphere, and superb service. We will definitely be back and highly recommend La P'Posteria to anyone who wants to enjoy authentic Italian cuisine!

17/05/2026: We booked at La Corte with high expectations and were disappointed. The dishes we chose didn't match those in the reviews, specifically the octopus and fried fish, but we understand that places remain the same and the chefs change. The requirement to order two fried dishes is also incomprehensible... it's a rule that applies to risottos, but I've never experienced this with other dishes. Furthermore, the fried food tasted very fried, and the batter flavor prevailed. The wine list is nothing exceptional... Our negative review doesn't apply to the service, which was very professional.

A huge compliment to Filippo, who gave us outstanding service from start to finish. He truly had an eye for detail and went the extra mile to make sure we had the best experience possible. He was super friendly, helpful, and made us feel completely welcome all evening. He also recommended a fantastic red wine, which was honestly one of the best we’ve had. And to top it all off, we even received a complimentary limoncello shot at the end. Thank you for such a wonderful night. We will definitely come back. Highly recommended!

23/05/2026: We had a fantastic evening at La Sosta and are absolutely thrilled. The start was already a dream: We were served incredibly delicious, traditional Sardinian bread. The main courses maintained the high standard perfectly. The pasta was cooked to absolute perfection (true al dente bliss!) and wonderfully seasoned. The crowning glory was the homemade ice cream, which you simply have to try. Creamy, rich, and miles away from mass-produced ice cream. The whole experience was rounded off by exceptionally attentive, warm, and professional service, anticipating our every need without being intrusive. In short: Great atmosphere, superb food, and service with heart. We will definitely be back! Thank you for the wonderful evening.

05/05/2026: This is our second time dining here, and we've returned precisely because the quality of the food is guaranteed. The only downside, which I even laughed about a bit, is the salad. In my opinion, it should be served without dressing, so everyone can do as they please. I was asked what I wanted, and to make a long story short, there must have been a misunderstanding, so they added salt to the dressing! I would have acted differently in a situation like this: perhaps apologize for having misunderstood, or bring it back without dressing, even if I paid for it. That said, we'll definitely be back.

16/01/2026: Restaurant in the Isola area of ​​Milan, terrible value for money, inedible spaghetti with clams, soft and black mixed fried food, definitely fried with overused oil. Paella clearly reheated, and overheated; the rice was burnt. We had dinner with a group and everyone left really angry. We spent a lot and ate terribly. Never again.

18/05/2026: We stayed at the family run Albergo Il Vapore for 2 nights and the hospitality we had from Pinuccia and Simone was second to none. The evening dinner at the restaurant we had was so good we ate there 2 nights in a row! The fresh pasta and fish dishes were deliciously prepared by the chef Simone.... make sure to book if eating here as its very popular! Highly recommended!

Albergo Il Vapore is everything you hope to find in Italy — authentic, family-run, warm, and completely unforgettable. The setting in the heart of Menaggio is beautiful, but it’s the atmosphere and homemade food that truly make this place special. Every dish tasted like it was made with genuine care and tradition. Fresh pasta, incredible flavors, simple ingredients done perfectly — the kind of meal that reminds you why Italian cuisine is loved around the world. You can feel the passion in every plate. The service was equally wonderful: welcoming, relaxed, and genuinely kind, making us feel more like guests in someone’s home than customers at a restaurant. What we loved most was how authentic everything felt. No tourist traps, no unnecessary fuss — just outstanding food, a charming atmosphere, and a memorable experience shared together. Easily one of the highlights of our entire trip and without question the best lunch we had in Italy. If you’re visiting Menaggio, do yourself a favor and eat here. We’ll be talking about this meal for a very long time.
