14/06/2025: Vinimos al Bellavista para cenar en nuestra primera noche en Brunate por recomendación de nuestros anfitriones AirBnB, y tuvimos una noche perfecta. El Bellavista es un encantador edificio histórico situado en la parte superior del funicular Brunate, con una vista espectacular desde el restaurante sobre el lago y el valle de abajo. Puede sentarse a su mesa dentro del restaurante junto a las ventanas abiertas mirando hacia fuera mientras come platos locales realmente encantadores - ravioles de percha, lasaña de jabalí, quesos locales y panna cotta y merengues para terminar. Si hubiéramos tenido más tiempo, habríamos venido aquí una segunda vez.

13/06/2025: Disfrutamos de un excelente almuerzo con una hermosa vista del lago de Como. Afortunadamente pudieron llevarnos como un paseo, pero una reserva sería prudente para garantizar una mesa con vistas. La comida y el servicio eran excelentes, y los precios eran muy razonables. Una gran opción para el almuerzo o la cena en Como!

The quality of the dishes is excellent: fresh ingredients, bold flavors, and generous portions. They don't serve you bland cafeteria fare: you can taste the care behind every choice. The self-service restaurant is efficient, well-organized, and offers a variety of options, perfect for a quick but tasty lunch break. The atmosphere is simple, the service is quick, and everything is clean. In short: highly recommended if you want to eat well in the center of Como without breaking the bank. I'll gladly return!

09/03/2026: The atmosphere is informal, reminiscent of a typical old Milanese osteria. The food is excellent, and the portions are almost homemade. The staff is friendly, helpful, and always attentive to the needs of their guests. It's best to book in advance, as there's always a line (despite reservations).

19/03/2026: A wholesome taste of Naples on the shores of Lake Garda. We stopped for pizza with two friends. The waiters were friendly and unobtrusive, and the pizza was authentic and light, in keeping with Neapolitan tradition. We were ready to pay and the third half began: limoncello, a chat, a laugh, and then the chef, Giuseppe, and the owner, also offered us zeppole di San Giuseppe (specially prepared for today). An extended family with a deep respect for their customers. Well done guys, congratulations! You made us feel part of your family.

09/01/2026: I went to eat to test the quality for the wedding, and what can I say? Everything was perfect, from the excellent, melt-in-your-mouth food to the simple yet well-organized and attentive service. The place is wonderful, and the owners are fantastic. The prices are fair, in my opinion, especially considering the quantity and quality. In short, we ate well, and a lot. If you're in the area and want to eat well, I recommend coming to Croce di Malta.

22/03/2026: A quaint place, with gargantuan portions, it's impossible to exchange a few words with anyone sitting next to you. The noise is so loud you'll leave with a full-blown migraine. The staff is friendly and quick to serve, ideal for dinner with friends, to share hearty laughs.

16/03/2026: Dinner with a friend, three of us total One squid ink risotto was enough for four people, plus a fish tartar was enough for two, plus wine, water, coffee, and smari. Try it and believe it.

Here, the experience begins at the fish counter: you stop, browse the catch of the day, and choose what to buy. Once you've decided, the fish is cooked on the spot. The idea is simple and works: it's reminiscent of a seafood market rather than a traditional restaurant, creating an informal, direct, almost playful atmosphere. It starts with the raw ingredients and builds the meal around what catches the eye. The fish is good, fresh, and well-prepared. This is the main reason it's worth coming here: when the ingredients are good, it doesn't take much to leave satisfied. The cooking methods are generally correct and respectful of the product, without over-elaboration. The food is good and has a sense of authenticity. The fried food is less convincing, not reaching the same level as the rest. It's not bad, but it lacks that dry, light crunchiness that would make it stand out. It's still acceptable, but it's probably the dish with room for improvement. The counter selection system has a positive aspect—you can see and select what you'll eat—but it also has a small flaw: it's not exactly easy to understand the portions. More than once, I've ordered too much, caught up in the excitement of the moment. It's probably also a personal issue, but a little more guidance on quantities would help avoid excesses and better manage the final cost. The value for money, overall, is good. It's not cheap in the absolute sense, but given the type of product and the freshness offered, it's within a reasonable range. You pay for what you choose, which makes everything fairly transparent. The wine list is the least interesting aspect: a rather limited selection and no truly memorable labels. You'll find the necessary to accompany the meal, but those who enjoy fine wines will be hard-pressed to find any exciting wines. It's a functional accompaniment, not a strong point. In summary: good seafood, a fun and informal market-style format, and a fair value for money. Some limitations on the fried food and a wine selection that could be improved prevent full enthusiasm, but it remains a good place for simple, straightforward seafood. Recommended. Good for satisfying a fish craving, although the overall experience doesn't leave a lasting impression.

02/02/2026: I occasionally go to this restaurant, but I'm never disappointed. The menu is immense, as is the wine list. The service is excellent. The location is very close to the center, with parking in front. All of this makes for an ideal place to have lunch or dinner in pleasant company.
