Recommended by our accommodation host, so pleased we made the effort to dine there! Genuine family run restaurant. We chose the set menu which was super tasty and meant we tried things we wouldn't have usually ordered. Highly recommend reservations as we missed out the first night but were lucky to get a place on our second night in Bellagio.

A truly charming lakeside location, with an authentic and welcoming atmosphere. We ate well and the dishes were carefully prepared, although the lake fish had a rather intense flavor that might not be to everyone's taste. The atmosphere is very quaint and pleasant, although on warmer days it can get a bit warm inside. The only small drawback: the kitchen closes at 9:00 PM, a bit earlier than expected. Overall, however, a lovely experience in a truly charming setting.

I was offered paccheri with "river crayfish" off the menu. This is quite perplexing, because true native river crayfish is a protected species, and its capture and sale are prohibited. It is therefore very likely (I hope) that the Louisiana red crayfish, an invasive species that can be legally consumed, is being served. If so, the problem isn't so much the consumption of the invasive crayfish, but rather the fact that it is presented as river crayfish, misleading the customer into thinking it is the native species. In practice, this ends up passing off an invasive species as a protected and prohibited one, creating confusion and sending the wrong message about biodiversity protection. This behavior deserves greater clarity and transparency towards customers. I won't return until this matter is clarified. Excellent cuisine, but greater transparency and accountability are needed on this issue.

When you follow a good idea with the skill to execute it well. We found courtesy, a varied à la carte menu with many inviting options, and a good wine list. Dishes were crafted with balance and attention to enhancing the flavors of the different fish, with careful attention to presentation. The ambiance is simple but not unenjoyable; you can sense the attention to detail despite the atmosphere of a family restaurant. In short, we'll recommend it to friends and will definitely return, perhaps in a different season to appreciate the differences.

Very nice place with a beautiful view over Como lake. The food was nice, mostly fresh water fish options. The atmosphere was very relaxed. The staff could be more proactive and attentive: we weren't informed about meal of the day, for example.

A restaurant we discovered thanks to fabulous reviews in a famous guide. We were delighted by the ambiance and the quality of the dishes at this authentic and charming restaurant. The welcome was warm. The waitress, who spoke French, presented and explained the contents of the menu we had chosen. A truly wonderful place in the charming village of San Giovanni, far from the hustle and bustle of Bellagio. A must for enjoying delicious local products.
