05/08/2025: We had an appetizer of very good bruschetta, two very good meat dishes with generous side dishes, and house wine for €50. Very reasonable. Then the owner let us try his gelato on the way out, and it was amazing. We'll definitely be back.

20/07/2025: One of the must visit restaurants of Soriano nel Cimino. When local outside restaurant recommends and says "it's really good" it has to be. And it was. Every course I tried was amazing. Don't forget to try dessert too. White truffle ice cream was special.

20/07/2025: Everything was really good, like the meat with porcini mushrooms and the chickpea and chestnut cream soup, worth trying again. The staff were welcoming and kind.

03/08/2025: Ottima scelta se vi trovate in gita a Civita di Bagnoregio. Avrei preferito un antipasto di salumi e formaggi con più scelta, ma, a parte questo piccolo dettaglio, ne siamo rimasti soddisfatti. Buonissimi i primi, pesto di pistacchio con i pomodori secchi molto particolare, ragù bianco leggerissimo. Dolce davvero buono. Consigliato!

23/07/2025: Niet gepland om op deze prachtige plaats te dineren dus toevallig hier terecht gekomen. De verwachtingen waren niet al te hoog voor zo'n toeristische plaats. De bruschetta waren basic maar de pasta's (pappardelle al ragu bianco di chianina - pincinelle al pesto di pistacchio) die we gegeten hebben echt heerlijk. Een aanrader als je hier bent.

20/07/2025: We were invited by our company to review this well-known restaurant in Viterbo. The restaurant is charming and suitable for any type of dinner, from a casual gathering to a more sophisticated evening. We ordered: • an "Antica Caverna" appetizer • a beef tartare • a 1 kg Danish Florentine steak • two side dishes The tartare was truly excellent, fresh, and well-seasoned—definitely worth trying again in the future. The appetizer, however, disappointed us: it included cured meats that seemed packaged, and a selection of side dishes (dried tomatoes, mushrooms, chili peppers, eggplant, and probably zucchini) that clearly came from a jar. If you choose to use preserved products, it would be desirable to opt for better quality. The meat—the Florentine steak—was the highlight: excellent and cooked to perfection. Finally, the service was impeccable, attentive, and courteous.

Mrs. Suzanne is a frank person and an expert and creative cook who knows how to warmly welcome even slightly "oppositional" customers to her inn (guess who I'm referring to, dear Suzanne). Thank you for everything, I hope goodbye and a hug!

03/08/2025: A quiet place located in a beautiful area of San Leo. Good food and generous portions, and a good house wine. A wide selection of liqueurs and digestifs. Menu changes are available. Good vegetarian options. Friendly and helpful staff.

05/08/2025: Restaurant at the foot of the city gate On a pilgrimage to Rome, we stopped at this restaurant for dinner. The dishes were tasty and excellent. The tagliata in particular was incredibly tender and flavorful. The price was fair. Highly recommended.

05/07/2025: Soggiornato in mezza pensione, ristorante buono anche se il menù proposto (20€ +40 la stanza) era con scarsissima scelta. Le pietanze del menù alla carta erano di gran lunga migliori rispetto a quelle a noi proposte. Stanze senza aria condizionata, non calde per fortuna ma nemmeno lontanamente fresche come ci avevano detto,dotate di ventilatore. Se ci fossero state le zanzariere forse il soggiorno sarebbe stato più gradevole. No colazione (normale per un affittacamere) ma nemmeno una convenzione con i bar di zona. In conclusione visto il prezzo, non mi sarei mai lamentato ma conoscendo bene la zona perché ci capitiamo molto spesso per lavoro,a quel prezzo (anzi anche qualcosina in meno) senza fare nomi ,si trova di molto meglio, sia nel paesino stesso che a pochissimi km. Tra le 50 e le 70/80€ a voler esagerare, c'è molta scelta. Peccato perché il posto era carino.

22/08/2025: We came here just for dessert, on the recommendation of our Airbnb host in Viterbo. The ambiance outside was cozy and inviting, perfect for lingering over something sweet. We tried a creamy dessert layered over a moist plum rum cake at the bottom- delicious. Another favorite was the raspberry and cherry dessert topped with hazelnuts and chocolate crumbles, a perfect balance of flavors and textures. Both were excellent. The only downside was that it took quite a long time for us to place our order. That said, once the desserts arrived, they were well worth the wait. I also couldn't help but notice the other dishes coming out to nearby tables- they all looked wonderful. Next time, I'd definitely come for a full meal too.

15/08/2025: A welcoming restaurant both inside and out, with excellent dishes prepared with the finest ingredients! Homemade tagliolini with truffles.....low-temperature cooked Cinta Senese pork belly....bread and desserts rigorously prepared with selected niche flours....everything excellent! Leonardo, the attentive and friendly staff, is able to interpret your tastes and offer appropriate advice!! Highly recommended!!

03/08/2025: Cliente da anni. Fantastica la pasta con il coregone, così come il coregone arrosto con la salvia. Soute di cozze nn eccelso. Si puo fare di piu' nella cottura. Prezzi giusti. L ambiente esterno , ed l atmosfera ripagano l anima.

23/08/2025: We found it by chance while exiting the highway for a refreshing break. A truly pleasant place, with a beautiful view and excellent cuisine, so much so that it even received a Michelin star. Impeccable welcome and utmost courtesy. A wonderful experience, which made us regret just passing through. It would have been wonderful to stay overnight and enjoy a bit of relaxation by that lovely pool!

08/08/2025: We chose the Locanda della Chiocciola as a stopover during a trip through Italy and wanted to visit the town of Orte. The inn is located a few kilometers from the center in a very beautiful rural area within an oak grove. The building is very well restored, as is the surrounding park. Our room was a proper triple (a rather rare occurrence) and was very well finished and comfortable. The bathroom was spacious, comfortable, and very clean. Overall, the level of cleanliness in the room was extremely good. The property has a beautiful pool and a wellness center available upon reservation. A couple of things we weren't entirely satisfied with. First, the mattresses, which were really very firm. We struggled. A topper would have been enough. The second thing concerns the breakfast, which is served to order from a menu. The products are all really good, but I definitely prefer a buffet where I can choose the dishes I want, perhaps even ordering coffee and cappuccino from the staff. Lastly, unfortunately, the property faces directly onto the A1 highway and, more importantly, the high-speed rail line. Unfortunately, the noise from the highway and the railway can be quite loud at times. This isn't a problem with the building, but it's something to consider. In any case, the windows and doors are very well soundproofed, so the rooms are very quiet.
