06/04/2026: Avoid avoid avoid. This place is a comedy show, not a restaurant. When walking in we were greeted and served by a drunk blonde waitress. She was not just drunk, she was stumbling. Dropping bottles, knocking into chairs slurring her words. Her own colleague's were actively lauging at her. Ridiculous. Now the food. Over-priced, small portioned for tourists. Worst food we had in Italy. 24e for 3 meatballs that were stale and tasted off. They charged us 2e each for a Coperto, but did not even give us any bread. There was no point in complaining to the waitress, she was too busy trying to keep her balance. And then she asked for Tip when we were paying. So cheeky. Avoid avoid avoid.

15/03/2026: Very nice taverns near the Spanish Steps. The staff can sometimes be a bit too serious and aloof. The service is very fast and the music is very nice. However, the prices are sky-high, and the only real downside is that the bread is placed on the table upon your arrival. Obviously, you pay for it. So you're not given a choice, nor are you informed in advance. Because of this, I'm giving it a 3. This is something I didn't appreciate at all and which I consider highly misleading. The baked potatoes are also not very good due to the very strange flavor of the skin. The cacio e pepe pasta is excellent. They have high chairs for children.

02/04/2026: The food and people are truly Italian. The owner is very friendly and even plays guitar for you while you eat in the evening. Highly recommended.

16/03/2026: A very good experience. My husband, our dog, and I went for Sunday brunch. For €60 per person, you can eat buffet-style (drinks are extra). Excellent food and service, and the atmosphere is lovely.

19/02/2026: The fish is always incredibly fresh, as evidenced by the fact that the restaurant is always busy, even during the week. It's a casual restaurant that I love because it eliminates the unnecessary plating and presentation, which I honestly can do without given the quality-price ratio, which I've never experienced in any other restaurant in Italy. As soon as I eat something that doesn't quite work, my stomach feels upset and I have digestive issues. I've never had the slightest discomfort here, despite having been frequenting the restaurant for many, many years, and I always eat generously because everything is so good. Well done, you are the jewel in the crown of true Italian dining. Many renowned restaurants where you charge three or four times as much should visit you to understand many things.

20/03/2026: I came to this restaurant because I wanted to try Saltimbocca, a Roman specialty. There's a friendly guy named Salvatore who greets you warmly in Japanese and says "Oishii" (delicious). His recommended salad was exquisite, and the stretchy cheese was fantastic. Of course, the Saltimbocca was also superb. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was also great, making it a very comfortable place to be.

10/03/2026: We ordered saltimbocca and involtini. Both were reheated and came without any side dishes, each costing €18. The saltimbocca consisted of three very thin slices of tough meat and bore no resemblance to saltimbocca. The restaurant is overpriced.

11/03/2026: Lunch with my mom: we order a bottle of water, two appetizers, then I order a first course, and my mom orders a tagliata, which she asks for well done. We add porcini mushrooms later. The appetizers arrive, my first course arrives, and the porcini mushrooms arrive too. There's no sign of the tagliata I ordered ahead of time and at the same time as the rest of the dish. I finish my first course. We ask for the tagliata and they tell us it's on its way, but it doesn't. The mushrooms are also out of stock. I ask for an explanation, and they tell us the delay is because we asked for it well done (!!!). I point out that since we ordered it with my first course, experienced restaurateurs should know the cooking times for a well done tagliata, as well as knowing that diners should be served together. Instead, the rudeness outweighs the experience, and the owner invites me to go to McDonald's. At that point, I forgo the imaginary tagliata and ask for the bill. They bring me a bill marked up by 15 euros for fettuccine with porcini mushrooms, as phantom as the tagliata because I never ordered it. I ask for a correction and they bring me another bill for 50 euros with the same advance ticket printed earlier. I ask for the receipt and pay my bill, which is exactly 48 euros (even the 2 euro markup!). Rude and unfair! At this point, McDonald's is definitely better!

08/03/2026: Without a doubt, the best carbonara I've ever had. And I've had quite a few. Near Piazza Navona, it's a welcome change to find an authentic spot surrounded by tourist traps. House wine and tiramisu. A true Roman tavern.

28/02/2026: A few simple details, but done to perfection. It's a simple, welcoming place, a welcome respite from the chaos of Piazza Navona. Among so many touristy and under-maintained establishments, Zozzone stands out for its authenticity, summed up beautifully in the menu of stuffed pizzas hanging on the wall.

21/03/2026: Excellent pizzas and fried foods, standard service, the real problem is finding parking, but that's certainly not the restaurant's fault.

05/03/2026: Kindness, courtesy, and so much goodness! The pizza, pasta dishes, and meat dishes are delicious. Try them...and try them again. I go back often, and sometimes the new dishes on the daily menu are spectacular.
