15/07/2025: Excellent service and food. We arrived at midnight and the kitchen was open. We were served with great pleasure. The food was delicious. Andrea was excellent, always checking on us to make sure we were comfortable. They gave us a complimentary dessert, which was also delicious. The best part was the view, overlooking the Pantheon. Very happy.

14/07/2025: Top experience! The food, service, and location are a blend of excellence that make every meal at this small, historic gem in Borgo Pio unique. The freshest fish is cooked with care to retain all its flavor without the excessive use of sauces and garnishes, which are now overused, more for wowing and offering Instagrammable plating than for delighting the palate. The wine list is very refined, and the staff is friendly and attentive. Try it!

04/07/2025: Unfortunately, Il San Lorenzo was our worst dining experience in Rome. From the start, we felt unwelcome — the staff was overly strict about where we placed our baby stroller, despite the restaurant being mostly empty. We were seated near the kitchen in a hot, uncomfortable area, even though a cooler, air-conditioned room was available. It seems discriminating. The food was mediocre and forgettable, especially compared to the high standards we experienced in Venice and Milan. Nothing stood out in flavor or presentation. What made the experience worse was the cold, almost dismissive attitude from the staff, which left us feeling uncomfortable — at times even wondering if we were being treated differently for being Asian. Overall, between the lack of hospitality, the non-functioning AC, and the underwhelming food, we wouldn’t return. Rome has many better options.

01/07/2025: Very tasty dishes with original presentation and a beautiful classic interior. The only thing is that it is a bit cramped and very noisy. I would like more space and distance between tables for comfortable communication.

25/06/2025: I have been to this Greek restaurant in the heart of Trastevere twice and it really surprised me. Everything is prepared with care, the quality is very high and every dish I tasted (more than half the menu, there were many of us) was a discovery: authentic, rich, balanced flavors. The restaurant is of Cretan origin, so there are also typical Cretan dishes that are difficult to find elsewhere. The sauces are all homemade, very good, you can taste the difference. Among the dishes I recommend: the mix of sauces to share, perfect if you are with more than one person; the baked feta with honey, truly delicious; the meat moussaka, which I found amazing; and my absolute favorite, the lamb rack, a real house specialty. Attentive and fast service, good wine list with Greek labels. The only note is that the prices are a little above average and the portions are not huge: to leave full it is better to take at least two courses each. A full dinner is about 30 € per person, but it's worth it. For me it was the best Greek restaurant I've ever eaten at. I will definitely go back.

11/05/2025: On cherchait un resto dans ce quartier et on est tombé sur ce petit restaurant top ! Ils nous ont dressé une table à 22h en terrasse et le service était génial. La qualité des produits et des plats étaient là et nous nous sommes tous régaler. Je recommande vivement cette adresse !!!

28/04/2025: Trastevere está ahora atestado de grandes restaurantes comerciales de mal gusto. Este restaurante es un retroceso a cuando la gente era invitada a una comida hermosa, música encantadora y un servicio atento. Bravo, a este lugar por proporcionar una velada memorable en Roma. Los precios son muy razonables y la comida y el vino recomendado por nuestro servidor lo golpeó fuera del parque. ¡Gracie!

14/03/2025: The food was exceptional, with each dish made fresh to order. The menu offered creative and flavorful combinations. For our starter, we had a mix of seafood and land-based dishes, creating a perfect balance of flavors. The spinach ravioli was expertly prepared, and the pistachio gelato was a standout. The service was warm and attentive, and the restaurant’s cozy, a delightful dining experience.

30/06/2025: If you are near the Colosseum, it is a must visit. We can say that it became our favorite place in Rome. We loved the artichokes and zucchini flower, two flavors you should definitely try. We also ordered a margarita pizza with two beers and it was a filling meal for two people. The prices are really much more affordable and delicious than other restaurants in the center 🍕🍻

28/06/2025: On hot days there are misting fans outside in their own little cul de sac which make a huge difference. Pizzas are tasty as are salads and reasonably priced spritzes. Works well with kids as it's more casual. Tucked away 5 mins from Colosseum!

01/07/2025: 3 for food, 2 for price and 1 for service. I ordered the mushroom pasta from the photos on Google map, there was not meat and it costs 20€. The taste was too light so I had to add salt myself, it would be better if there was black pepper but unfortunately not. An American customer told me his dessert (looks like a pudding with red top) was too sweet. The worst part was that I paid on the table and when I left the place and passed the counter, there was another waiter asking me to pay. I told him I have paid but he didn't believe and asked the waiter who took my money to confirm. This was very rude and insulting. Also the waiters don't speak much English but that's not big problem. Overall, I don't recommand any tourist to come here.

30/06/2025: A true gem in Rome. The place is very cozy, with a warm atmosphere and excellent service from the staff. It feels like the owners themselves are serving you, which makes it even more special. We tried the carbonara, cacio e pepe, and a pizza: everything was simply exquisite. As a bonus, most of the diners were Italian, which is always a good sign of authenticity and quality. The tiramisu was also delicious. I'd been waiting for years to try an authentic carbonara in Rome, and this place exceeded all my expectations. Highly recommended.

10/06/2025: Sabato sera , troviamo posto con l idea di una pizza ma poi si passa al pesce e ci si lascia catturare dal fuori menù.. zuppa di pesce… ormai sempre più tara nei ristoranti. Arriva e che dire un capolavoro ben fatta con a parte pane tostato in più e piatto per gli scarti e l immancabile bavaglino e salviette umidificate ( le cambierei con altre più prestanti) cameriere cortese e disponibile , prezzi onesti . Un ritardo vistoso per la frutta ma superato con le scuse del personale che non sempre arrivano in questi casi . Unica cosa i piatti fuori menù come la zuppa non era da sapersi il prezzo andrebbe comunicato ma ripeto onesto . Sicuramente consigliato !

29/04/2025: Locale accogliente, il proprietario è molto gentile ed attento nel servire i tavoli. Abbiamo mangiato il pesce, sicuramente congelato quello usato per i secondi, ma di buona qualità. I prezzi sono piuttosto alti.

19/06/2025: All in all good, prices a little high but magnificent location. from a location like this, and from quality food I expected a higher level of service. Not that it was terrible, on the contrary, just that from a place like this and from the food they serve I expected a service a little more attentive and professional.

18/06/2025: Suggestive environment for the presence of many antiques. Very varied menu starting from appetizers to desserts. I recommend it both for the atmosphere and for the quality of the dishes.
