04/12/2024: AWSOME OSTERIA 1997 JUST UNIQUE A fabulous restaurant, a place that, in this dehumanized age, I would never have believed could exist, on the phone Francesco recognized me 'I'll come around half past 9' 'don't worry' ... the others say 'no you have to tell me the exact time' at 31 they give the table away, because now it works in shifts, at now we have to leave the table because there are others, where the customer is worth nothing, the sum of the customers is worth; when I entered there was a smiling Edo who hugged me 'it's been a long time since you came', Francesco broke away from the people he was with and gave me his hand, and then, smiling, there was her... Agata, what a joy to see her again, what a joy to embrace her; Edo had reserved a beautiful table for me, in the opposite room, a large table where we were at ease, where we felt like we were friends, guests; Agata came to us immediately, smiling, kind, cheerful, and we ordered; Edo arrived for the wine and immediately contextualized and empathized with the situation, 'bubbles??', a complex local prosecco that I can't say except that a few moments later I was in seventh heaven; Agata served us as an entreé a pumpkin cream in a cup with exquisite croutons and then ricotta tortelli with special butter and fried courgettes, cooked to perfection, creamy, very tasty, and then a super sirloin tender as butter; a mascarpone with passito to finish off in style; Agata always came to ask if everything was okay, and she was so sweet, smiling, kind that, my word, I have never seen a waiter like that in my life, but she is a future doctor, a classy person, I observed her in face with very sweet features, at a certain point I couldn't help myself and told her 'you're enchanting'; high-class osteria, no restaurant has superior cuisine in Ferrara and I would almost say elsewhere; Those who write that it is traditional cuisine are wrong, this is very modern, creative cuisine, which has some dishes rooted in tradition but always rethought in a creative way; Edo also came back to ask how it was going and always has a good line of Ferrarese humour, it was almost midnight when I went to pay the bill, Francesco showed me his father's medical notebooks and I asked him for some Agata, and I was ashamed at the thought of having been a lazy student, out of class and not of medicine, of law, 'a law degree is like a glass of water, you can't deny it to anyone'; the bill was from friends, there is a lot of talk about price/quality but no other restaurant guarantees it like here, where the customer is not a lemon to squeeze; when we got up and said goodbye to Francesco and Edo, but Agata was no longer there, I asked 'and Agata... where is she?' she had already gone home to study for sure, maybe it was better, I'll see her again... Edo and Agata are not the waiters, they are two beautiful people who take care of the guests, no not with cuddles, you get those in a massage centre, and the tavern is a fantastic and unique place, where everything is beautiful, where they are friendly, where it is impossible to go out without feeling well and also the other customers entertained themselves with Francesco, Edo and Agata and it was like being at a party, among people that is known, and, the whole essence of the Osteria, at least for me, is in that evening, when we entered and Agata, who had been at the tavern for a few days, smiled at us immediately, as if she knew us, with a smile unspeakably wonderful, saying a 'hello' _ to me who is from '58 _ which, put as you said it, I have never heard it, nor will I hear it more.❤️💘💌💖💗💓💞💕💟❣️❤️‍🔥❤️🩷🧡💛💚💙🩵💜

16/11/2024: Locale piccolo, rustico, ma accogliente. Servizio: personale gentilissimo, preparato e attento al cliente, servizio rapido ed efficiente. Menù: piatti della tradizione misti e non solo. Abbinamenti mare/terra ben riusciti. Ampia selezione di vini(con bottiglie da 375 ml per le coppie). Entrée di benvenuto e dolcetti finali offerti dalla casa. Conto: ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo. Ci torneremo sicuramente, bravissimi.

06/12/2024: Ampia varietà di risotti, alcuni molto insoliti. Provato quelli al limone e alle noci, davvero eccellenti, sia per delicatezza degli ingredienti che per cottura e qualità del riso. Buonissimo anche ossobuco, molto tenero. Beppe è gentile e efficientissimo ( e ci si chiede come faccia a fare tutto da solo visto che non ti fa aspettare) Ci torneremo sicuramente e lo consiglieremo. I prezzi sono contenuti, il che non guasta mai. Da ultimo: sulla qualità di un ristorante si deve dare un giudizio il giorno successivo perché la buona digestione è indice della sua qualità. E qui il punteggio è pieno!
25/11/2024: Partendo dal presupposto come gia detto da altri che il buon Beppe è l'unico factotum nonchè Deus et Machina...e come tale va giudicato!* non tanto nella qualità che è ottima ma su alcuni ritardi nel servizio che potrebbero verificarsi se il locale fosse completo cosa che peraltro succede di frequente tant'è che consiglio vivamente la prenotazione del tavolo come pure anche del granitico risotto allo zafferano e ossobuco di Beppe, piatto da considerarsi "unico" per palati normali e a dir poco spaziale. Quindi tornando a bomba, ottimi primi ma pure i dolci non sono da meno e in stile partenopeo come lo stesso titolare, vedi pastiera innanzitutto (ma il tutto tassativamente self-made!)...vari risotti all averdi etc secondi con brasato e antipasti di affettati tipici....carta vini adeguata, anche se a volte aggiornata sul momento, Prezzi più che allineati alla media della città se non addirittura parchi in un ambiente tranquillo e senza fronzoli posto "nello storico quartiere oltretorrente" (del quale lo stesso Beppe con i suoi oltre 20 anni di emerita professione è a pieno titolo parte integrante) un Rione glorioso che purtroppo oggi, e lo dico non senza amarezza, non è più il rappresentante tipico della ns. parmigianità...Siamo quindi stati più che bene, e con noi tutti gli altri commensali presenti (tra cui due ragazze giapponesi;-)) e con cui non è difficile il socializzare dato l'ambiente intimo e catalizzante ed è un vero piacere anche il solo ammirare Beppe nel districarsi fra i tavoli, con efficiente solerzia, attenzione e rara dedizione. Noi ci siamo ripromessi di tornare per gustare altre portate dell'interessante menù dato che mio malgrado e per fortuna (prenotandolo, ho infatti avuto modo di degustarlo quasi centellinandolo), ma in questa occasione mi sono letteralmente "ingosato" di solo risotto c.osso buco....e non ce ne stava davvero più!.....nel caso sappiatevi regolare. Concludendo: Bravo Beppe!!**** (* riferito ai commenti "pungenti" che ho letto e che non possono considerarsi recensioni nè tantomeno attendibili; ma solo cattiveria gratuite di persone dal finto palato fine, e un classico relazionarsi del parmigiano spocchioso e destrutturato.)

04/09/2024: Scrumptious delicious dishes. Professional staff, very knowledgeable, attentive, and accommodating. Wine recommendation did not disappoint. The food recommendation was a wonderful surprise. We had mostly things that were not on the menu. It is one of the best restaurants we've found in Italy, considering ambiance, seating, food quality and taste, wine selection, service, and value for money.

The food is truly excellent, the Taranto-style mussels perfect, the cod with caramelized onion and tarallo truly mouth-watering. p.s.: Absolutely try the cheesecake, you won't be disappointed!

Oysters of at least six different types (the maximum that I can eat) for each of them Daniele, the owner, explained to me both the breeding and taste characteristics, the care in preparing the food capable of respecting and enhancing the excellent raw material, a cellar embarrassing for the abundance of the proposal, a service attentive to detail, a synthesis which is not at all obvious and which I greatly appreciate, it deserves it!

03/12/2024: Lunch out of town with my husband in this small restaurant near the center of Ravenna. Intimate venue and friendly service, truly delicious dishes. Specifically, we ordered prawns in kataifi pasta, creamed cod and as first courses passatelli with fish and spaghettoni with swordfish. In conclusion, very good desserts and particular coffee blends. The only flaw was that the service was a little slow, but with this atmosphere and the music in the background the wait was somewhat pleasant. Fresh raw materials and dishes rich in flavour. I would happily return to try the second courses!
30/11/2024: In Ravenna it is difficult to find anything better. You always eat at a good level without getting lost in endless menus, with interesting seasonal proposals. Great competence in advice also regarding wines and great kindness. A pleasure, the music played politely and the books, photos and books on display, always interesting, stimulating and non-trivial. The place is cozy and very welcoming, never noisy as larger rooms often are.

14/12/2024: Ristorante soddisfacente, come antipasto abbiamo ordinato un'ottima coppa di testa e un flan di zucca che onestamente non ci ha entusiasmato (totale 26 €) Abbiamo poi proseguito con due buoni tortellini in brodo (34 €) e una scaloppina alla Petroniana (20 €), il tutto accompagnato da acqua e un Lambrusco di Sorbara L'ambiente è caratteristico, caldo e accogliente, così come il servizio (bravi i ragazzi in sala), in definitiva un posto sul quale poter contare, senza il rischio di sorprese negative, per una cena a Bologna
11/12/2024: I was over the moon ending our trip by dining in here. This place is situated just off what seem the equivalent of Bond Street in London so is a bit pricier than other places it seemed but was worth it! Very lovely feel as you walk in and there is seating over two floors, would advise booking as we just about fitted in for a Monday lunch without a reservation. We were greeted by very attentive staff who were very knowledgeable about the food that was offered in here. We tried three main dishes in here; ricotta tortellini with truffle which was incredible! Meatballs in a tomato sauce with peas which were beautifully tender and full of flavour and lastly gramignone in a sausage sauce which was delicious. Our bill came to roughly €90 for three mains and a bottle of wine which is much cheaper than what I’m used to in England but for Bologna was one of the more pricey places. Highly recommend!

17/12/2024: My first time at Locanda Mariella did not disappoint my (very high) expectations. I chose the fish-based menu and I really appreciated the Asian influence which is clear in every course. The menu included a tasting of hot focaccia with mortadella, a scallop appetizer (my absolute favourite, a perfect dish), a first course with squid ink, salmon accompanied by cardoncello mushroom and a dessert of your choice (I chose the broken down trifle). The competence of the managers is excellent both as regards the food and the choice of wines. A few minutes of conversation with them certainly enriched me. In my opinion the bill could afford to be even higher. The environment is discreet and very pleasant. The snow-covered fields around the inn made everything even more special. I hope to return soon to try the other menus, I have rarely felt so comfortable in a restaurant.

Everything was fabulous from the starter to the dessert, great courtesy and professionalism of the owners in a very welcoming and refined place. Thanks we will be back very soon.
