L'Osteria dal 1997 In Ferrara

A very quaint place, both inside and out. Excellent food. Service is very, very slow. The helpfulness and hospitality, as well as the good food, are remarkable.

We went to Osteria del 1997 in Ferrara and had a wonderful meal. Everything was delicious, with attention to detail and meticulously prepared. Special thanks to Erich, who gave us excellent advice. The experience was so positive that we returned the next day with a larger group and were welcomed and treated just as well. Excellent food, excellent service, and a very friendly atmosphere. Highly recommended!

The guy who served us was top notch!! Excellent food, very well-prepared dishes, well-stocked wine cellar, but... the wait was a bit long... maybe because we were so friendly they didn't want to charge us... 😅

The waitresses were lovely, and the food was excellent, quite the opposite. The glass of wine arrived already poured, but that's okay. The real issue is that we arrived at 8:30 PM and the main course arrived at 10:00 PM, after a prompt. They'd missed our order, and that can happen, of course. We could have called earlier, too, let's be honest. But at least the glass of wine, given the inconvenience, would have been polite to offer. At least the gesture, come on ;)

Everything was delicious, the staff was well trained and always available!

My boyfriend and I spent a wonderful evening at this osteria. We were greeted by one of the three young women who work there and were treated with great kindness and professionalism. The waiters were also always helpful and friendly. The food was nothing short of excellent: we had casoncelli cacio e pepe and a frigola with clams and mantis shrimp, and finally a guanciale. But the best thing of all was the smiles of all the staff: truly priceless! Thank you all for your work and best of luck! Federica and Lorenzo

On April 14th, we went to dinner for our anniversary, and I had requested something nice for the table for the occasion. They were so kind and left us a candle and some flowers. We had a delicious meal, a delicious platter, and excellent wine. The staff was attentive but not pushy and very helpful. There's also a wide selection of liqueurs, rums, and other "afternoons," which I haven't seen very often, so I wanted to point that out. Excellent work, it was a wonderful dinner. Thank you ❤️
